1 Samuel 19
1 And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan, Saul's son, delighted much in David.
और साऊल ने अपने बेटे यूनतन और अपने सब ख़ादिमों से कहा, कि दाऊद को मार डालो।
2 And Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeks to kill thee. Now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself in the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself.
लेकिन साऊल का बेटा यूनतन दाऊद से बहुत ख़ुश था इसलिए यूनतन ने दाऊद से कहा, “मेरा बाप तेरे क़त्ल की फ़िक्र में है, इसलिए तू सुबह को अपना ख़याल रखना और किसी पोशीदा जगह में छिपे रहना।
3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou are, and I will converse with my father of thee, and if I see anything, I will tell thee.
और मैं बाहर जाकर उस मैदान में जहाँ तू होगा अपने बाप के पास खड़ा हूँगा और अपने बाप से तेरे ज़रिए' बात करूँगा और अगर मुझे कुछ मा'लूम हो जाए तो तुझे बता दूँगा।”
4 And Jonathan spoke good of David to Saul his father, and said to him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David, because he has not sinned against thee, and because his works have been very good toward thee.
और यूनतन ने अपने बाप साऊल से दाऊद की ता'रीफ की और कहा, कि बादशाह अपने ख़ादिम दाऊद से बुराई न करे क्यूँकि उसने तेरा कुछ गुनाह नहीं किया बल्कि तेरे लिए उसके काम बहुत अच्छे रहे हैं।
5 For he put his life in his hand, and smote the Philistine, and Jehovah wrought a great victory for all Israel. Thou saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will thou sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?
क्यूँकि उसने अपनी जान हथेली पर रख्खी और उस फ़िलिस्ती को क़त्ल किया और ख़ुदावन्द ने सब इस्राईलियों के लिए बड़ी फ़तह कराई, तूने यह देखा और ख़ुश हुआ, तब तू किस लिए दाऊद को बे वजह क़त्ल करके बे गुनाह के ख़ून का मुजरिम बनना चाहता है?
6 And Saul hearkened to the voice of Jonathan. And Saul swore, As Jehovah lives, he shall not be put to death.
और साऊल ने यूनतन की बात सुनी और साऊल ने क़सम ख़ाकर कहा कि ख़ुदावन्द की हयात की क़सम है वह मारा नहीं जाएगा।
7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as beforetime.
और यूनतन ने दाऊद को बुलाया और उसने वह सब बातें उसको बताईं और यूनतन दाऊद को साऊल के पास लाया और वह पहले की तरह उसके पास रहने लगा।
8 And there was war again. And David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and killed them with a great slaughter, and they fled before him.
और फिर जंग हुई और दाऊद निकला और फ़िलिस्तियों से लड़ा और बड़ी ख़ूँरेज़ी के साथ उनको क़त्ल किया और वह उसके सामने से भागे।
9 And an evil spirit from Jehovah was upon Saul as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand, and David was playing with his hand.
और ख़ुदावन्द की तरफ़ से एक बुरी रूह साऊल पर जब वह अपने घर में अपना भाला अपने हाथ में लिए बैठा था, चढ़ी और दाऊद हाथ से बजा रहा था,
10 And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the spear, but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the spear into the wall. And David fled, and escaped that night.
और साऊल ने चाहा, कि दाऊद को दीवार के साथ भाले से छेद दे लेकिन वह साऊल के आगे से हट गया, और भाला दीवार में जा घुसा और दाऊद भागा और उस रात बच गया। श
11 And Saul sent messengers to David's house, to watch him, and to kill him in the morning. And Michal, David's wife, told him, saying, If thou save not thy life tonight, tomorrow thou will be slain.
और साऊल ने दाऊद के घर पर क़ासिद भेजे कि उसकी ताक में रहें और सुबह को उसे मार डालें, इसलिए दाऊद की बीवी मीकल ने उससे कहा, “अगर आज की रात तू अपनी जान न बचाए तो कल मारा जाएगा।”
12 So Michal let David down through the window, and he went, and fled, and escaped.
और मीकल ने दाऊद को खिड़की से उतार दिया, इसलिए वह चल दिया और भाग कर बच गया।
13 And Michal took the teraphim, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' hair at the head of it, and covered it with the clothes.
और मीकल ने एक बुत को लेकर पलंग पर लिटा दिया, और बकरियों के बाल का तकिया सिरहाने रखकर उसे कपड़ों से ढांक दिया।
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.
और जब साऊल ने दाऊद के पकड़ने को क़ासिद भेजे तो वह कहने लगी, कि वह बीमार है।
15 And Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may kill him.
और साऊल ने क़ासिदों को भेजा कि दाऊद को देखें और कहा, कि उसे पलंग समेत मेरे पास लाओ कि मैं उसे क़त्ल करूँ।
16 And when the messengers came in, behold, the teraphim was in the bed, with the pillow of goats' hair at the head of it.
और जब वह क़ासिद अंदर आए, तो देखा कि पलंग पर बुत पड़ा है और उसके सिरहाने बकरियों के बाल का तकिया है।
17 And Saul said to Michal, Why have thou deceived me thus, and let my enemy go, so that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said to me, Let me go. Why should I kill thee?
तब साऊल ने मीकल से कहा, “कि तू ने मुझ से क्यूँ ऐसी दग़ा की और मेरे दुश्मन को ऐसे जाने दिया कि वह बच निकला?” मीकल ने साऊल को जवाब दिया, “कि वह मुझ से कहने लगा, मुझे जाने दे, मैं क्यूँ तुझे मार डालूँ?”
18 Now David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
और दाऊद भाग कर बच निकला और रामा में समुएल के पास आकर जो कुछ साऊल ने उससे किया था, सब उसको बताया, तब वह और समुएल दोनों नयोत में जाकर रहने लगे।
19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
और साऊल को ख़बर मिली कि दाऊद रामा के बीच नयोत में है।
20 And Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
और साऊल ने दाऊद को पकड़ने को क़ासिद भेजे और उन्होंने जो देखा कि नबियों का मजमा' नबुव्वत कर रहा है और समुएल उनका सरदार बना खड़ा है तो ख़ुदा की रूह साऊल के क़ासिदों पर नाज़िल हुई और वह भी नबुव्वत करने लगे।
21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
और जब साऊल तक यह ख़बर पहूँची तो उसने और क़ासिद भेजे और वह भी नबुव्वत करने लगे और साऊल ने फिर तीसरी बार और क़ासिद भेजे और वह भी नबुव्वत करने लगे।
22 Then he also went to Ramah, and came to the great well that is in Secu. And he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.
तब वह ख़ुद रामा को चला और उस बड़े कुवें पर जो सीको में है पहूँच कर पूछने लगा कि समुएल और दाऊद कहाँ हैं? और किसी ने कहा, कि देख वह रामा के बीच नयोत में हैं।
23 And he went there to Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
तब वह उधर रामा के नयोत की तरफ़ चला और ख़ुदा की रूह उस पर भी नाज़िल हुई और वह चलते चलते नबुव्वत करता हुआ, रामा के नयोत में पहूँचा।
24 And he also stripped off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
और उसने भी अपने कपड़े उतारे और वह भी समुएल के आगे नबुव्वत करने लगा, और उस सारे दिन और सारी रात नंगा पड़ा रहा, इसलिए यह कहावत चली, “क्या साऊल भी नबियों में है?”
