1 Samuel 19
1 And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan, Saul's son, delighted much in David.
௧தாவீதைக் கொன்றுபோடும்படி, சவுல் தன்னுடைய மகனான யோனத்தானோடும் தன்னுடைய ஊழியக்காரர்கள் எல்லோரோடும் பேசினான்.
2 And Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeks to kill thee. Now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself in the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself.
௨சவுலின் மகனான யோனத்தானோ, தாவீதின்மேல் மிகவும் பிரியமாயிருந்தான்; அதனால் யோனத்தான் தாவீதுக்கு அதை அறிவித்து: என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய சவுல் உம்மைக் கொன்றுபோட வகை தேடுகிறார்; இப்போதும் நாளைக்காலை நீர் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருந்து, மறைவான இடத்தில் ஒளிந்துகொண்டிரும்.
3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou are, and I will converse with my father of thee, and if I see anything, I will tell thee.
௩நான் புறப்பட்டுவந்து, நீர் வெளியிலிருக்கும் இடத்தில் என்னுடைய தகப்பன் பக்கத்திலே நின்று, உமக்காக என்னுடைய தகப்பனோடு பேசி, நடக்கும் காரியத்தைக் கண்டு, உமக்கு அறிவிப்பேன் என்றான்.
4 And Jonathan spoke good of David to Saul his father, and said to him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David, because he has not sinned against thee, and because his works have been very good toward thee.
௪அப்படியே யோனத்தான் தன்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய சவுலோடு தாவீதுக்காக நலமாகப் பேசி, ராஜா தம்முடைய அடியானாகிய தாவீதுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்யாமல் இருப்பாராக; அவன் உமக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்யவில்லை; அவனுடைய செய்கைகள் உமக்கு அதிக உபயோகமாக இருக்கிறதே.
5 For he put his life in his hand, and smote the Philistine, and Jehovah wrought a great victory for all Israel. Thou saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will thou sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?
௫அவன் தன்னுடைய உயிரைத் தன்னுடைய கையிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டு, அந்தப் பெலிஸ்தனைக் கொன்றதினால், யெகோவா இஸ்ரவேலுக்கெல்லாம் பெரிய இரட்சிப்பைக் கட்டளையிட்டதை நீர் கண்டு, சந்தோஷப்பட்டீரே; இப்போதும் காரணமில்லாமல் தாவீதைக் கொல்லுகிறதினால், குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்திற்கு விரோதமாக நீர் ஏன் பாவம் செய்கிறீர் என்றான்.
6 And Saul hearkened to the voice of Jonathan. And Saul swore, As Jehovah lives, he shall not be put to death.
௬சவுல் யோனத்தானுடைய சொல்லைக்கேட்டு: அவன் கொலை செய்யப்படுவதில்லை என்று யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிட்டான்.
7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as beforetime.
௭பின்பு யோனத்தான் தாவீதை அழைத்து, அந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் அவனுக்கு அறிவித்து, அவனைச் சவுலினிடத்தில் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய் விட்டான்; அப்படியே அவன் முன்புபோலவே அவனுடைய சமுகத்தில் இருந்தான்.
8 And there was war again. And David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and killed them with a great slaughter, and they fled before him.
௮மறுபடியும் ஒரு யுத்தம் உண்டாயிற்று; அப்பொழுது தாவீது புறப்பட்டுப் போய், பெலிஸ்தர்களோடு யுத்தம்செய்து, அவர்களை பயங்கரமாக வெட்டியதால் அவர்கள் அவனுக்கு முன்பாக சிதறி ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.
9 And an evil spirit from Jehovah was upon Saul as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand, and David was playing with his hand.
௯யெகோவாவால் விடப்பட்ட தீய ஆவி சவுலின்மேல் வந்தது; அவன் தன்னுடைய வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்து, தன்னுடைய ஈட்டியைக் கையிலே பிடித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தான்; தாவீது தன்னுடைய கையினாலே சுரமண்டலம் வாசித்தான்.
10 And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the spear, but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the spear into the wall. And David fled, and escaped that night.
௧0அப்பொழுது சவுல்: தாவீதை ஈட்டியினாலே சுவரோடே சேர்த்து உருவக்குத்திப்போடப் பார்த்தான்; ஆனாலும் இவன் சவுலுக்கு விலகினதினாலே, அவன் எறிந்த ஈட்டி சுவரிலே பட்டது; தாவீதோ அன்று இரவு ஓடிப்போய், தன்னைத் தப்புவித்துக்கொண்டான்.
11 And Saul sent messengers to David's house, to watch him, and to kill him in the morning. And Michal, David's wife, told him, saying, If thou save not thy life tonight, tomorrow thou will be slain.
௧௧தாவீதைக் காவல்செய்து, மறுநாள் காலையில் அவனைக் கொன்று போடும்படி, சவுல் அவன் வீட்டிற்குச் சேவகரை அனுப்பினான்; இதைத் தாவீதுக்கு அவன் மனைவியாகிய மீகாள் அறிவித்து: நீர் இன்று இரவில் உம்முடைய ஜீவனை தப்புவித்துக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால், நாளைக்கு நீர் கொன்று போடப்படுவீர் என்று சொல்லி,
12 So Michal let David down through the window, and he went, and fled, and escaped.
௧௨மீகாள் தாவீதை ஜன்னல் வழியாய் இறக்கிவிட்டாள்; அவன் தப்பி ஓடிப்போனான்.
13 And Michal took the teraphim, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' hair at the head of it, and covered it with the clothes.
௧௩மீகாளோ ஒரு சிலையை எடுத்து, கட்டிலின்மேல் வைத்து, அதின் தலைமாட்டிலே ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுத் தோலைப் போட்டு, போர்வையினால் மூடி வைத்தாள்.
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.
௧௪தாவீதைக் கொண்டுவரச் சவுல் காவலர்களை அனுப்பினபோது, அவர் வியாதியாக இருக்கிறார் என்றாள்.
15 And Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may kill him.
௧௫அப்பொழுது தாவீதைப் பார்க்கிறதற்குச் சவுல் காவலரை அனுப்பி, அவனைக் கொன்றுபோடும்படி, கட்டிலோடே அவனை என்னிடத்திற்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வாருங்கள் என்றான்.
16 And when the messengers came in, behold, the teraphim was in the bed, with the pillow of goats' hair at the head of it.
௧௬காவலர்கள் வந்தபோது, இதோ, சிலை கட்டிலின்மேலும், வெள்ளாட்டுத்தோல் அதின் தலைமாட்டிலும் கிடக்கக் கண்டார்கள்.
17 And Saul said to Michal, Why have thou deceived me thus, and let my enemy go, so that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said to me, Let me go. Why should I kill thee?
௧௭அப்பொழுது சவுல்: நீ இப்படி என்னை ஏமாற்றி, என்னுடைய எதிரியைத் தப்பவிட்டு அனுப்பினது என்ன என்று மீகாளிடத்தில் கேட்டான். மீகாள் சவுலை நோக்கி: என்னைப் போகவிடு, நான் உன்னை ஏன் கொல்லவேண்டும் என்று அவர் என்னிடத்தில் சொன்னார் என்றாள்.
18 Now David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
௧௮தாவீது தப்பி, ராமாவிலிருந்த சாமுவேலிடத்திற்குப் போய், சவுல் தனக்குச் செய்தது எல்லாவற்றையும் அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தான்; பின்பு அவனும் சாமுவேலும் போய், நாயோதிலே தங்கியிருந்தார்கள்.
19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
௧௯தாவீது ராமாவில் உள்ள நாயோதிலே இருக்கிறான் என்று சவுலுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
20 And Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
௨0அப்பொழுது சவுல்: தாவீதைக் கொண்டுவர காவலரை அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் கூட்டத்தையும், சாமுவேல் அவர்களின் தலைவனாக நிற்கிறதையும் கண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது சவுலினுடைய காவலர்களின்மேல் தேவனுடைய ஆவி இறங்கியதால் அவர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள்.
21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.
௨௧இது சவுலுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டபோது, அவன் வேறே காவலரை அனுப்பினான்; அவர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள்; மூன்றாம் முறையும் சவுல் காவலரை அனுப்பினான்; அவர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள்.
22 Then he also went to Ramah, and came to the great well that is in Secu. And he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.
௨௨அப்பொழுது அவனும் ராமாவுக்குப் போய், சேக்குவிலிருக்கிற பெரிய கிணற்றின் அருகே வந்து, சாமுவேலும் தாவீதும் எங்கே என்று கேட்டான்; அதோ ராமாவிலுள்ள நாயோதிலே இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டது.
23 And he went there to Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
௨௩அப்பொழுது ராமாவிலுள்ள நாயோதிற்குப் போனான்; அவன் மேலும் தேவனுடைய ஆவி இறங்கியதால் அவன் ராமாவிலுள்ள நாயோதிலே சேரும் வரை, தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே நடந்துவந்து,
24 And he also stripped off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
௨௪தானும் தன்னுடைய உடைகளை கழற்றிப்போட்டு, சாமுவேலுக்கு முன்பாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி, அன்று பகல்முழுவதும் இராமுழுவதும் உடை இல்லாமல் விழுந்துகிடந்தான்; எனவே, சவுலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவனோ என்பார்கள்.
