1 Peter 5
1 I, a fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and a partaker of the glory going be revealed, exhort the elders among you:
Ey aranızda olan ağsaqqallar! Mən də sizin kimi ağsaqqal və Məsihin əzablarının şahidiyəm, zühur edəcək izzətə də şərikəm. Sizə yalvarıram,
2 Tend ye the flock of God among you, watching over, not by obligation, but willingly, nor greedily, but readily,
Allahın sizə həvalə etdiyi sürüsünü otarın. Ona zorla yox, könüllü və Allahı razı salan tərzdə, haqsız qazanca həris olmadan, həvəslə nəzarət edin.
3 nor as domineering over the lots, but becoming examples of the flock.

4 And when the chief Shepherd is made known, ye will receive the unfading crown of glory.

5 Likewise younger men should be subordinate to the elder men. And all being subordinate to each other, clothe yourselves with humility, because God sets himself against the haughty, but gives grace to the lowly.
Eyni ilə, siz də, ey gənclər, ağsaqqallara tabe olun. Hamınız bir-birinizə itaətkarlıq göstərin. Çünki «Allah məğrurlara qarşıdır, itaətkarlara isə lütf göstərər».
6 Therefore be lowered under the mighty hand of God, so that he may lift you up in time,
Allahın qüdrətli əli altında özünüzü aşağı tutun, onda Allah sizi vaxtı çatanda ucaldacaq.
7 having cast all your concern upon him, because he cares for you.
Bütün qayğı yükünüzü Ona ötürün, çünki O sizin qayğınıza qalır.
8 Be sober, be vigilant. Your opponent the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom to devour.
Ayıq durun, oyaq olun. Çünki düşməniniz olan iblis nərildəyən və kimisə aşırmaq istəyən aslan kimi dolaşır.
9 Whom resist, steadfast in the faith, knowing the same sufferings are to be accomplished in the world by your brotherhood.
Möhkəm imanla ona qarşı durun. Bilin ki, bütün dünyada bacı-qardaşlarınız da eyni cür əzab çəkirlər.
10 And may the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus (after suffering a little while) himself thoroughly prepare you. He will establish, strengthen, and provide a foundation. (aiōnios g166)

12 By Silvanus, the faithful brother to you, as I reckon, I wrote because of a few things, exhorting and testifying this to be the true grace of God in which ye stand.
