1 Kings 6
1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the sons of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Jehovah.
E sucedeu que no ano de quatrocentos e oitenta, depois de sairem os filhos de Israel do Egito, no ano quarto do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mês de ziv (este é o mês segundo), começou a edificar a casa do Senhor.
2 And the house which king Solomon built for Jehovah, the length of it was sixty cubits, and the breadth of it twenty, and the height of it thirty cubits,
E a casa que o rei Salomão edificou ao Senhor era de sessenta côvados de comprimento, e de vinte côvados de largura, e de trinta côvados de altura.
3 and the porch in front of the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, and ten cubits was the breadth of it in front of the house.
E o pórtico diante do templo da casa era de vinte côvados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e de dez côvados de largura diante da casa.
4 And he made windows of fixed lattice-work for the house.
E fez à casa janelas de vista estreita.
5 And against the wall of the house he built stories round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle. And he made side-chambers round about.
Edificou em redor da parede da casa câmaras, em redor das paredes da casa, tanto do templo como do oráculo: e assim lhe fez câmaras colaterais em redor.
6 The lowest story was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad, for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.
A câmara de baixo era de cinco côvados de largura, e a do meio de seis côvados de largura, e a terceira de sete côvados de largura; porque pela parte de fora da casa em redor fizera encostos, para não travarem das paredes da casa.
7 And the house, when it was being built, was built of stone made ready at the quarry. And there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was being built.
E edificava-se a casa com pedras preparadas, como as traziam se edificava; de maneira que nem martelo, nem machado, nem nenhum outro instrumento de ferro se ouviu na casa quando a edificavam.
8 The door for the middle side-chambers was in the right side of the house. And they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.
A porta da câmara do meio estava à banda direita da casa, e por corações se subia à do meio, e da do meio à terceira.
9 So he built the house, and finished it. And he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
Assim pois edificou a casa, e a aperfeiçoou: e cobriu a casa com pranchões e taboados de cedro.
10 And he built the stories against all the house, each five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
Também edificou as câmaras a toda a casa de cinco côvados de altura, e as travou com a casa com madeira de cedro.
11 And the word of Jehovah came to Solomon, saying,
Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Salomão, dizendo:
12 Concerning this house that thou are building, if thou will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with thee, which I spoke to David thy father.
Quanto a esta casa que tu edificas, se andares nos meus estatutos, e fizeres os meus juízos, e guardares todos os meus mandamentos, andando neles, confirmarei para contigo a minha palavra, a qual falei a David, teu pai;
13 And I will dwell among the sons of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.
E habitarei no meio dos filhos de Israel, e não desampararei o meu povo de Israel.
14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
Assim edificou Salomão aquela casa, e a aperfeiçoou.
15 And he built the walls of the house inside with boards of cedar. From the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood. And he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.
Também cobriu as paredes da casa por dentro com tábuas de cedro; desde o soalho da casa até ao teto tudo cobriu com madeira por dentro: e cobriu o soalho da casa com tábuas de faia.
16 And he built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the walls of the ceiling. He built them for it inside, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.
Edificou mais vinte côvados de tábuas de cedro nos lados da casa, desde o soalho até às paredes: e por dentro lhas edificou para o oráculo, para o Santo dos santos,
17 And the house, that is, the temple in front of the oracle, was forty cubits long.
Era pois a casa de quarenta côvados, a saber: o templo interior.
18 And there was cedar on the house inside, carved with knops and open flowers. All was cedar; there was no stone seen.
E o cedro da casa por dentro era lavrado de botões e flores abertas: tudo era cedro, pedra nenhuma se via.
19 And he prepared an oracle in the midst of the house inside, to set there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.
E por dentro da casa interior preparou o oráculo, para pôr ali a arca do concerto do Senhor.
20 And inside the oracle was a space of twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height of it. And he overlaid it with pure gold. And he covered the altar with cedar.
E o oráculo no interior era de vinte côvados de comprimento, e de vinte côvados de largura, e de vinte côvados de altura: e o cobriu de ouro puro: também cobriu de cedro o altar.
21 So Solomon overlaid the house inside with pure gold. And he drew chains of gold across before the oracle, and he overlaid it with gold.
E cobriu Salomão a casa por dentro de ouro puro: e com cadeias de ouro pôs um véu diante do oráculo, e o cobriu com ouro.
22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold until all the house was finished. Also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold.
Assim toda a casa cobriu de ouro, até acabar toda a casa: também todo o altar que estava diante do oráculo cobriu de ouro.
23 And in the oracle he made two cherubim of olive-wood, each ten cubits high.
E no oráculo fez dois cherubins de madeira olearia, cada um da altura de dez côvados.
24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub. From the outermost part of the one wing to the outermost part of the other were ten cubits.
E uma aza dum cherubim era de cinco côvados, e a outra aza do cherubim de outros cinco côvados; dez côvados havia desde a extremidade de uma das suas asas até à extremidade da outra das suas asas.
25 And the other cherub was ten cubits; both of the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
Assim era também de dez côvados o outro cherubim: ambos os cherubins eram de uma mesma medida e dum mesmo talhe.
26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so it was of the other cherub.
A altura dum cherubim de dez côvados, e assim a do outro cherubim.
27 And he set the cherubim inside the inner house. And the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall. And their wings touched each another in the middle of the house.
E pôs a estes cherubins no meio da casa de dentro; e os cherubins estendiam as asas, de maneira que a aza dum tocava na parede, e a aza do outro cherubim tocava na outra parede: e as suas asas no meio da casa tocavam uma na outra.
28 And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.
E cobriu de ouro os cherubins.
29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside.
E todas as paredes da casa em redor lavrou de esculturas e entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, por dentro e por fora.
30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside.
Também cobriu de ouro o soalho da casa, por dentro e por fora.
31 And for the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive-wood. The lintel and door-posts were a fifth part of the wall.
E à entrada do oráculo fez portas de madeira olearia: o umbral de cima com as hombreiras faziam a quinta parte da parede.
32 So he made two doors of olive-wood. And he carved upon them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold. And he spread the gold upon the cherubim, and upon the palm trees.
Também as duas portas eram de madeira olearia; e lavrou nelas entalhes de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, os quais cobriu de ouro: também estendeu ouro sobre os cherubins e sobre as palmas.
33 So he also made for the entrance of the temple door-posts of olive-wood out of a fourth part of the wall,
E assim fez à porta do templo hombreiras de madeira olearia, da quarta parte da parede.
34 and two doors of fir-wood. The two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
E eram as duas portas de madeira de faia; e as duas folhas de uma porta eram dobradiças, assim como eram também dobradiças as duas folhas entalhadas das outras portas.
35 And he carved thereon cherubim and palm trees and open flowers. And he overlaid them with gold fitted upon the graven work.
E as lavrou de cherubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, e as cobriu de ouro acomodado ao lavor.
36 And he built the inner court with three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams.
Também edificou o pátio interior de três ordens de pedras lavradas e de uma ordem de vigas de cedro.
37 In the fourth year the foundation of the house of Jehovah was laid, in the month Ziv.
No ano quarto se pôs o fundamento da casa do Senhor, no mês de ziv.
38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all the parts of it, and according to all the fashion of it. So he was seven years in building it.
E no ano undécimo, no mês de Bul, que é o mês oitavo, se acabou esta casa com todos os seus aparelhos, e com tudo o que lhe convinha: e a edificou em sete anos.
