2 And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.
To e higa mar adek Jehoshafat ruodh Juda nodhi neno ruodh Israel.
3 And the king of Israel said to his servants, Know ye that Ramoth-gilead is ours, and we are still, and do not take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?
Ruodh Israel nosenyiso jodonge niya, “Donge ungʼeyo ni Ramoth Gilead en marwa to onge gima watimo mondo wakawe kuom ruodh Aram?”
4 And he said to Jehoshaphat, Will thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou are, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.
Omiyo nopenjo Jehoshafat, “Ibiro dhi konya kedo gi jo-Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshafat nodwoko ruodh Israel niya, “Wan joka ngʼato achiel, joga gin jogi, faresena gin fareseni.”
5 And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Inquire first, I pray thee, for the word of Jehovah.
To Jehoshafat bende nowachone ruodh Israel niya, “Mokwongo penj ane Jehova Nyasaye wachni.”
6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.
Omiyo ruodh Israel nochoko jonabi kanyakla maromo ji mia angʼwen, mopenjogi niya, “Bende anyalo dhi kedo gi jo-Ramoth Gilead, koso kik adhi?” Negidwoke niya “Dhiyo nikech Jehova Nyasaye nochiwe e lwet ruoth.”
7 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we may inquire of him?
To Jehoshafat nopenjo niya, “Donge nitie janabi mar Jehova Nyasaye ka ma dwapenj wach?”
8 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, there is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah, Micaiah the son of Imlah, but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
Ruodh Israel nodwoko Jehoshafat niya, “Pod nitie ngʼato achiel manyalo penjonwa Jehova Nyasaye wach, to ok adware nikech ok okor gimoro amora maber kuoma, to kinde duto mana gik maricho. Nyinge en Mikaya wuod Imla.” Jehoshafat nodwoko niya, “Ruoth ok onego iwach kamano.”
9 Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah.
Omiyo ruodh Israel noluongo achiel kuom jodonge mowachone niya, “Dhi piyo iom Mikaya wuod Imla.”
10 Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria. And all the prophets were prophesying before them.

13 And the messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak thou good.
Jaote mane odhi luongo Mikaya nowachone niya “Jonabi duto osekoro wach achiel machalre, kagiwacho ni gima ber biro timore ni ruoth. In bende yie ikor wach maber kaka gisekorono.”
14 And Micaiah said, As Jehovah lives, what Jehovah says to me, that I will speak.
To Mikaya nowacho niya, “Akwongʼora gi nying Jehova Nyasaye mangima ni, anyalo mana nyise gima Jehova Nyasaye owachona.”
15 And when he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go up and prosper, and Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king.
Kane Mikaya ochopo, ruoth nopenje niya, “Bende wanyalo dhi mondo waked gi jo-Ramoth Gilead, koso kik wadhi?” Nodwoke niya, “Ked kodgi kendo iyud loch nimar Jehova Nyasaye osechiwe e lwet ruoth.”
16 And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?
Ruoth nowachone niya, “Nyaka karangʼo ma anaketi mondo ikwongʼrina gi nying Jehova Nyasaye ni iwacho adiera ma ok miriambo?”
17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And Jehovah said, These have no master, let them return every man to his house in peace.
Eka Mikaya nodwoke niya, “Ne aneno jo-Israel duto koke ewi gode mana kaka rombe maonge jakwath, kendo Jehova Nyasaye nowacho ni, ‘Jogi onge gi ruoth. Yie iwe ngʼato ka ngʼato odhi e dalane gi kwe.’”
18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?
Ruodh Israel nowachone Jehoshafat niya, “Donge nawachoni ni ok okorna gik mabeyo, to okoro mana gik maricho?”
19 And Micaiah said, Therefore hear thou the word of Jehovah. I saw Jehovah sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
Mikaya nodhi nyime kawacho niya, “Kuom mano winj wach Jehova Nyasaye: Naneno Jehova Nyasaye kobet e kom duongʼne gi jopolo duto kochungʼ molwore, e bade korachwich kendo e bade koracham.

22 And Jehovah said to him, With what? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shall entice him, and shall also prevail. Go forth, and do so.
“Jehova Nyasaye nopenje niya, ‘Ere kaka ibiro hoye?’ “Nodwoke niya, ‘Abiro dhi mondo abed roho mar miriambo e dho jonabi mage duto.’ “Jehova Nyasaye nodwoke niya, ‘Dhiyo kendo itim kamano nikech in ema ibiro hoye mi iloye.’
23 Now therefore, behold, Jehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and Jehovah has spoken evil concerning thee.
“Omiyo koro sani Jehova Nyasaye oseketo roho mar miriambo e dho jonabigi duto. Jehova Nyasaye osengʼadoni buch masira.”
24 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way did the Spirit of Jehovah go from me to speak to thee?
Eka Zedekia wuod Kenana noa malo mopamo lemb Mikaya. Nopenje niya, “En yo mane ma Roho mar Jehova Nyasaye noluwo kobiro wuoyo kodi?”
25 And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shall see on that day when thou shall go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
Mikaya nodwoke niya, “Ibiro fwenyo chiengʼ ma iniring kidhi pondo e ot maiye.”
26 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son,

28 And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, Jehovah has not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, ye peoples, all of you.
Mikaya nowachone niya, “Kidwogo kingima, to kara ok asewuoyo gi dho Jehova Nyasaye.” Bangʼe nomedo wacho niya, “Winjuru wechena, un ji duto!”
29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.
Omiyo ruodh Israel gi Jehoshafat ruodh Juda nodhi Ramoth Gilead.
30 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and go into the battle, but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
