1 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes the brother,
೧ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತದಂತೆ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಿಂದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪೌಲನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಸೊಸ್ಥೆನನೂ,
2 to the congregation of God that is at Corinth, to called men, to holy men who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus with all in every place who call upon the name of our the Lord Jesus Christ-both ours and theirs.
೨ಕೊರಿಂಥದಲ್ಲಿನ ದೇವರ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತರಾದವರಿಗೂ, ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಲು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಿಗೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ನಾಮಸ್ಮರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬರೆಯುವುದು ಏನೆಂದರೆ,
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
೩ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯೂ, ಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ಉಂಟಾಗಲಿ.
4 I thank my God always about you, for the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus,
೪ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಕೃಪೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
5 that in everything ye were enriched in him, in all speech and in all knowledge.
೫ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನುಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
6 Just as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,
೬ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
7 so that ye come behind in not one gift, waiting for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
೭ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಆತ್ಮೀಕ ಕೃಪಾವರದ ಕೊರತೆಯೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,
8 who will also confirm you until the end, irreproachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
೮ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೂ ದೃಢಪಡಿಸುವನು.
9 God is faithful through whom ye were called for the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
೯ತನ್ನ ಮಗನೂ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿರುವ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಅನ್ಯೋನ್ಯತೆಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದ ದೇವರು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನು.
10 Now I beseech you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and there be no divisions among you, but ye may be thoroughly prepared in the same mind and in the same understanding.
೧೦ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೊಂದಾಣಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು, ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿನ್ನತೆಗಳಿರಬಾರದೆಂದು, ನೀವು ಒಂದೇ ಮನಸ್ಸೂ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದೇ ಉದ್ದೇಶವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಐಕ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
11 For it was declared to me about you, my brothers, by those of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
೧೧ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳು ಜಗಳಗಳುಂಟೆಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಖ್ಲೋಯೆಯ ಜನರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿತು.
12 Now I say this. That each of you actually say, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.
೧೨ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ನಾನಿದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಕೆಲವರು, “ನಾನು ಪೌಲನವನು,” ಇಲ್ಲವೆ, “ನಾನು ಅಪೊಲ್ಲೋಸನವನು,” ಅಥವಾ, “ನಾನು ಕೇಫನವನು,” ಇಲ್ಲವೆ, ನಾನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನಂತೆ.
13 Has Christ been divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or were ye immersed in the name of Paul?
೧೩ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೋ? ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೇರಿದವನು ಪೌಲನೋ? ಪೌಲನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರೋ?
14 I thank God that I immersed none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
೧೪ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಪನಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಗಾಯನಿಗೂ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತಾರಿಗೂ ನಾನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
15 lest some man should say that I immersed in my name.
೧೫ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರೆಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಹೇಳಲಾರರು. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
16 And I also immersed the household of Stephanas. Besides, I know not whether I immersed any other.
೧೬ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸ್ತೆಫನನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಸಹ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೊರತು ಇನ್ನಾರಿಗೂ ನಾನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿಸಿದಂತೆ ತೋರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
17 For Christ sent me not to immerse, but to preach the good news, not in wisdom of speech lest the cross of Christ would be emptied.
೧೭ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಲ್ಲ ಆದರೆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ. ಅದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗೆ ಸಾರಿದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಮಾತಿನ ಚತುರತೆಯಿಂದ ನಿರರ್ಥಕವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.
18 For the message of the cross is of course foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is a power of God.
೧೮ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಸಂದೇಶವು ನಾಶನದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವಾಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಮಗೆ ಇದು ದೇವರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will frustrate the understanding of those of understanding.
೧೯“ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆನು, ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ವಿಫಲಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು.” ಎಂದು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
20 Where is a wise man? Where is a scholar? Where is a researcher of this age? Did not God make foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn g165)
೨೦ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಇಹಲೋಕದ ತರ್ಕವಾದಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ದೇವರು ಇಹಲೋಕದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲವೇ? (aiōn g165)
21 For since in the wisdom of God the world did not know God through its wisdom, it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.
೨೧ಲೋಕವು ತನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ; ಮೂರ್ಖತನವೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಬೋಧನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನಂಬುವವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಹಿತವೆಂದು ತೋರಿತು.
22 And because Jews demand a sign and Greeks search for wisdom,
೨೨ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಗ್ರೀಕರು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ;
23 but we proclaim Christ crucified, it is truly to Jews a stumbling-block and to Gentiles foolishness.
೨೩ನಾವಾದರೋ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಸಂದೇಶವು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿಘ್ನವೂ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರೀಕರಿಗೆ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
24 But to them, to the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
೨೪ಆದರೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಕರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರಾದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗಾಗಲಿ, ಗ್ರೀಕರಿಗಾಗಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೇ ದೇವರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಆಗಿರುವಾತನೆಂದು ನಾವು ಸಾರುತ್ತೇವೆ.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weak thing of God is stronger than men.
೨೫ದೇವರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದದ್ದು, ದೇವರ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಯು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಬಲಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
26 For notice your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to flesh, not many powerful, not many eminent.
೨೬ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದಾಗ ನೀವು ಹೇಗಿದ್ದೀರೆಂದು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿರಿ. ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರಬಲರೂ ಅನೇಕರಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕುಲೀನರೂ ಅನೇಕರಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
27 But God chose the foolish things of the world, so that he might humiliate the wise, and God chose the weak things of the world, so that he might humiliate the powerful.
೨೭ದೇವರು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ದೇವರು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಅಶಕ್ತರನ್ನು, ಬಲಹೀನರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
28 And God chose the common things of the world, and the disdained things, and the things that are not, so that he might make useless the things that are,
೨೮ದೇವರು ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀಳಾದವರನ್ನೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಯಾದವರನ್ನೂ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗಣನೆಗೆ ಬಾರದವರನ್ನು, ನಿಂದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
29 so that no flesh may boast before God.
೨೯ಹೀಗಿರಲು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಆಸ್ಪದವಿಲ್ಲ.
30 But ye are his, in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
೩೦ದೇವರು ಈ ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಈಗ ನೀವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ, ನೀತಿಯೂ, ಶುದ್ಧಿಯೂ, ಮತ್ತು ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯು ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
31 so that, just as it is written, He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.
೩೧“ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವವನು ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡಲಿ” ಎಂಬ ವೇದೋಕ್ತಿ ನೆರವೇರುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು.
