1 Corinthians 4
1 Thus let a man regard us as of helpers of Christ, and managers of mysteries of God.
सही तो यह होगा कि हमें मसीह येशु का भंडारी मात्र समझा जाए, जिन्हें परमेश्वर के भेदों की ज़िम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है.
2 And beyond that, it is sought in managers that any man should be found faithful.
भंडारी को विश्वासयोग्य होना ज़रूरी है.
3 But it is a very small thing to me that I might be appraised by you or by a day of mankind. Yet neither do I appraise myself,
यह मेरी दृष्टि में महत्वहीन है कि मेरी परख तुम्हारे द्वारा की जाए या किसी न्यायालय द्वारा. बल्कि मैं स्वयं अपनी परख नहीं करता.
4 for I know nothing on myself. Yet I have not been made righteous in this, but he who appraises me is the Lord.
मेरी अंतरात्मा मुझमें कोई दोष नहीं पाती, फिर भी इससे मैं निर्दोष साबित नहीं हो जाता. प्रभु ही हैं, जो मेरी परख करते हैं.
5 Therefore do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make public the deliberations of the hearts. And then praise will come to each man from God.
इसलिये समय से पहले अर्थात् प्रभु के आगमन तक कोई किसी की परख न करे. प्रभु ही अंधकार में छिपे सच प्रकाशित करेंगे तथा वही मनुष्य के हृदय के उद्देश्य भी प्रकट करेंगे. तब परमेश्वर की ओर से हर एक व्यक्ति को प्रशंसा प्राप्त होगी.
6 Now these things, brothers, I applied to myself and Apollos for your sakes, so that in us ye might learn not to think above that which is written, so that ye may not be puffed up, one over the one against the other.
प्रिय भाई बहनो, मैंने तुम्हारे ही हित में अपना तथा अपोल्लॉस का उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया है कि इसके द्वारा तुम इस बात से संबंधित शिक्षा ले सको, “पवित्र अभिलेख की मर्यादा का उल्लंघन न करना.” कि तुम एक का पक्ष ले दूसरे का तिरस्कार न करने लगो.
7 For who makes thee different? And what have thou that thou did not receive? And also if thou received it, why do thou boast as not having received it?
कौन कहता है कि तुम अन्यों से श्रेष्ठ हो? क्या है तुम्हारे पास, जो तुम्हें किसी के द्वारा दिया नहीं गया? जब यह तुम्हें किसी के द्वारा ही दिया गया है तो तुम घमंड ऐसे क्यों भरते हो मानो यह तुम्हें किसी के द्वारा नहीं दिया गया?
8 Already ye are filled. Already ye have become rich. Ye reigned without us, and O that ye did indeed reign, so that we also might reign with you.
तुम तो यह सोचकर ही संतुष्ट हो गए कि तुम्हारी सारी ज़रूरतों की पूर्ति हो चुकी—तुम सम्पन्न हो गए हो, हमारे सहयोग के बिना ही तुम राजा बन गए हो! उत्तम तो यही होता कि तुम वास्तव में राजा बन जाते और हम भी तुम्हारे साथ शासन करते!
9 For I think God has exhibited us the apostles least, as men sentenced to die, because we became a spectacle to the world, both to agents and to men.
मुझे ऐसा लग रहा है कि परमेश्वर ने हम प्रेरितों को विजय यात्रा में मृत्यु दंड प्राप्त व्यक्तियों के समान सबसे अंतिम स्थान पर रखा है. हम सारी सृष्टि, स्वर्गदूतों तथा मनुष्यों के सामने तमाशा बन गए हैं.
10 We are foolish for the sake of Christ, but ye are wise in Christ. We are weak, but ye are strong. Ye are esteemed, but we are disreputable.
हम मसीह के लिए मूर्ख हैं, किंतु तुम मसीह में एक होकर बुद्धिमान हो! हम दुर्बल हैं और तुम बलवान! तुम आदर पाते हो और हम तिरस्कार!
11 As far as the present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are ill clothed, and are treated roughly, and are homeless.
इस समय भी हम भूखे-प्यासे और अपर्याप्त वस्त्रों में हैं, सताए जाते तथा मारे-मारे फिरते हैं.
12 And we toil, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;
हम मेहनत करते हैं तथा अपने हाथों से काम करते हैं. जब हमारी बुराई की जाती है, हम आशीर्वाद देते हैं; हम सताए जाते हैं किंतु धीरज से सहते हैं;
13 being slandered, we entreat. We became as trash of the world, an offscouring of all things, until now.
जब हमारी निंदा की जाती है तो हम विनम्रता से उत्तर देते हैं. हम तो मानो इस संसार का मैल तथा सबके लिए कूड़ा-कर्कट बन गए हैं.
14 I do not write these things shaming you, but I warn you as my beloved children.
यह सब मैं तुम्हें लज्जित करने के उद्देश्य से नहीं लिख रहा परंतु अपनी प्रिय संतान के रूप में तुम्हें सावधान कर रहा हूं.
15 For though ye have countless instructors in Christ, yet not many fathers. For in Christ Jesus I begot you through the good news.
मसीह में तुम्हारे दस हज़ार शिक्षक तो हो सकते हैं किंतु इतने पिता नहीं. में ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार के कारण मैं मसीह येशु में तुम्हारा पिता बन गया हूं.
16 I beseech you therefore, become followers of me.
मेरी तुमसे विनती है कि तुम मेरे जैसी चाल चलो.
17 Because of this I sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every congregation.
इसलिये मैंने तिमोथियॉस को तुम्हारे पास भेजा है, जो मेरा प्रिय तथा प्रभु में विश्वासयोग्य पुत्र है. वही तुम्हें मसीह येशु में मेरी जीवनशैली की याद दिलाएगा—ठीक जैसी शिक्षा इसके विषय में मैं हर जगह, हर एक कलीसिया में देता हूं.
18 But as of me not coming to you, some men are puffed up.
तुममें से कुछ तो अहंकार में फूले नहीं समा रहे मानो मैं वहां आऊंगा ही नहीं.
19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord should will, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.
यदि प्रभु ने चाहा तो, मैं शीघ्र ही तुम्हारे पास आऊंगा, तब न केवल इन अहंकारियों की शिक्षा परंतु उनका सामर्थ्य भी मेरे सामने स्पष्ट हो जाएगा.
20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
परमेश्वर का राज्य मात्र शब्दों में नहीं परंतु सामर्थ्य में निहित है.
21 What do ye want? Should I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of meekness?
तो क्या चाहते हो तुम? मैं तुम्हारे पास छड़ी लेकर आऊं या नम्रता के भाव में प्रेम के साथ?
