Genesis 35
1 Daarna zeide God tot Jakob: Maak u op, trek op naar Beth-El, en woon aldaar; en maak daar een altaar dien God, Die u verscheen, toen gij vluchttet voor het aangezicht van uw broeder Ezau.
And he said God to Jacob arise go up Beth-el and dwell there and make there an altar to the God who appeared to you when fleeing you from before Esau brother your.
2 Toen zeide Jakob tot zijn huisgezin, en tot allen, die bij hem waren: Doet weg de vreemde goden, die in het midden van u zijn, en reinigt u, en verandert uw klederen;
And he said Jacob to household his and to all who [were] with him remove [the] gods of foreignness which in midst of you and purify yourselves and change clothes your.
3 En laat ons ons opmaken, en optrekken naar Beth-El; en ik zal daar een altaar maken dien God, Die mij antwoordt ten dage mijner benauwdheid, en met mij geweest is op den weg, die ik gewandeld heb.
So let us arise and we may go up Beth-el so I may make there an altar to the God who answered me on [the] day of distress my and he has been with me on the journey which I have gone.
4 Toen gaven zij Jakob al die vreemde goden, die in hun hand waren, en de oorsierselen, die aan hun oren waren, en Jakob verborg ze onder den eikeboom, die bij Sichem is.
And they gave to Jacob all [the] gods of foreignness which [were] in hand their and the rings which [were] in ears their and he hid them Jacob under the oak which [was] near Shechem.
5 En zij reisden heen; en Gods verschrikking was over de steden, die rondom hen waren, zodat zij de zonen van Jakob niet achterna jaagden.
And they set out and it was - [the] terror of God on the cities which [were] around them and not people pursued after [the] sons of Jacob.
6 Alzo kwam Jakob te Luz, hetwelk is in het land Kanaan (dat is Beth-El), hij en al het volk, dat bij hem was.
And he came Jacob Luz towards which [is] in [the] land of Canaan that [is] Beth-el he and all the people which [was] with him.
7 En hij bouwde aldaar een altaar, en noemde die plaats El Beth-El; want God was hem aldaar geopenbaard geweest, als hij voor zijns broeders aangezicht vlood.
And he built there an altar and he called the place El Beth-el for there they had revealed themselves to him God when fled he from before brother his.
8 En Debora, de voedster van Rebekka, stierf, en zij werd begraven onder aan Beth-El; onder dien eik, welks naam hij noemde Allon-Bachuth.
And she died Deborah [the] suckling-nurse of Rebekah and she was buried from under to Beth-el under the oak and someone called name its Allon Bacuth.
9 En God verscheen Jakob wederom, als hij van Paddan-Aram gekomen was; en Hij zegende hem.
And he appeared God to Jacob again when came he from Paddan Aram and he blessed him.
10 En God zeide tot hem: Uw naam is Jakob, uw naam zal voortaan niet Jakob genoemd worden, maar Israel zal uw naam zijn; en Hij noemde zijn naam Israel.
And he said to him God name your [is] Jacob not it will be called (name your *LBH(a)*) again Jacob that except Israel it will be name your and he called name his Israel.
11 Voorts zeide God tot hem: Ik ben God de Almachtige! wees vruchtbaar, en vermenigvuldig! Een volk, ja, een hoop der volken zal uit u worden, en koningen zullen uit uw lenden voortkomen.
And he said to him God I [am] God Almighty be fruitful and multiply a nation and a company of nations it will be from you and kings from loins your they will come out.
12 En dit land, dat Ik aan Abraham en Izak gegeven heb, dat zal Ik u geven; en aan uw zaad na u zal Ik dit land geven.
And the land which I gave to Abraham and to Isaac to you I will give it and to offspring your after you I will give the land.
13 Toen voer God van hem op in die plaats, waar Hij met hem gesproken had.
And he went up from with him God at the place where he had spoken with him.
14 En Jakob stelde een opgericht teken op in die plaats, waar Hij met hem gesproken had, een stenen opgericht teken; en hij stortte daarop drankoffer, en goot olie daarover.
And he set up Jacob a pillar at the place where he had spoken with him a pillar of stone and he poured out on it a drink offering and he poured on it oil.
15 En Jakob noemde den naam dier plaats, alwaar God met hem gesproken had, Beth-El.
And he called Jacob [the] name of the place where he had spoken with him there God Beth-el.
16 En zij reisden van Beth-El; en er was nog een kleine streek lands om tot Efrath te komen; en Rachel baarde, en zij had het hard in haar baren.
And they set out from Beth-el and it was yet [the] distance of the land to go Ephrathah and she gave birth Rachel and she had difficulties when gave birth she.
17 En het geschiedde, als zij het hard had in haar baren, zo zeide de vroedvrouw tot haar: Vrees niet; want deze zoon zult gij ook hebben!
And it was when had difficulties she when gave birth she and she said to her the midwife may not you be afraid for also this [one] for you [is] a son.
18 En het geschiedde, als haar ziel uitging (want zij stierf), dat zij zijn naam noemde Ben-oni; maar zijn vader noemde hem Benjamin.
And it was when went out life her for she died and she called name his Ben-Oni and father his he called him Benjamin.
19 Alzo stierf Rachel; en zij werd begraven aan den weg naar Efrath, hetwelk is Bethlehem.
And she died Rachel and she was buried on [the] way of Ephrathah that [is] Beth-lehem.
20 En Jakob richtte een gedenkteken op boven haar graf, dit is het gedenkteken van Rachels graf tot op dezen dag.
And he set up Jacob a pillar over grave her it [is] [the] pillar of [the] grave of Rachel until this day.
21 Toen verreisde Israel, en hij spande zijn tent op gene zijde van Migdal-Eder.
And he set out Israel and he pitched (tent his *Q(K)*) from beyond Migdal Eder.
22 En het geschiedde, als Israel in dat land woonde, dat Ruben heenging, en lag bij Bilha, zijns vaders bijwijf; en Israel hoorde het. En de zonen van Jakob waren twaalf.
And it was when dwelt Israel in the land that and he went Reuben (and he lay with *L(p)*) (Bilhah *L(p)*) [the] concubine of (father of his *L(p)*) and he heard (Israel. *L(p)*) And they were [the] sons of Jacob two [plus] ten.
23 De zonen van Lea waren: Ruben, Jakobs eerstgeborene, daarna Simeon, en Levi, en Juda, en Issaschar, en Zebulon.
[the] sons of Leah [the] firstborn of Jacob Reuben and Simeon and Levi and Judah and Issachar and Zebulun.
24 De zonen van Rachel: Jozef en Benjamin.
[the] sons of Rachel Joseph and Benjamin.
25 En de zonen van Bilha, Rachels dienstmaagd: Dan en Nafthali.
And [the] sons of Bilhah [the] maidservant of Rachel Dan and Naphtali.
26 En de zonen van Zilpa, Lea's dienstmaagd: Gad en Aser. Deze zijn de zonen van Jakob, die hem geboren zijn in Paddan-Aram.
And [the] sons of Zilpah [the] maidservant of Leah Gad and Asher these [were] [the] sons of Jacob who it was born to him in Paddan Aram.
27 En Jakob kwam tot Izak, zijn vader, in Mamre, te Kirjath-Arba, hetwelk is Hebron, waar Abraham als vreemdeling had verkeerd, en Izak.
And he came Jacob to Isaac father his Mamre Kiriath Arba that [is] Hebron where he had sojourned there Abraham and Isaac.
28 En de dagen van Izak waren honderd jaren, en tachtig jaren.
And they were [the] days of Isaac one hundred year[s] and eighty year[s].
29 En Izak gaf den geest en stierf, en werd verzameld tot zijn volken, oud en zat van dagen; en zijn zonen Ezau en Jakob begroeven hem.
And he expired Isaac and he died and he was gathered to people his an old [man] and satisfied of days and they buried him Esau and Jacob sons his.
