Psalmen 62
1 Een psalm van David, voor den opperzangmeester, over Jeduthun. Immers is mijn ziel stil tot God; van Hem is mijn heil.
To the choirmaster on Jeduthun a psalm of David. Only [is] with God silence being my [is] from him salvation my.
2 Immers is Hij mijn Rotssteen en mijn Heil, mijn Hoog Vertrek, ik zal niet grotelijks wankelen.
Only he [is] rock my and salvation my refuge my not I will be shaken much.
3 Hoe lang zult gijlieden kwaad aanstichten tegen een man? Gij allen zult gedood worden; gij zult zijn als een ingebogen wand, een aangestoten muur.
Until when? - will you attack on a person you will be murdered all of you like a wall bent down a fence pushed down.
4 Zij raadslagen slechts, om hem van zijn hoogheid te verstoten; zij hebben behagen in leugen; met hun mond zegenen zij; maar met hun binnenste vloeken zij. (Sela)
Surely from loftiness his - they have planned to thrust [him] down they are pleased with falsehood with mouth his they bless and in inner being their they curse (Selah)
5 Doch gij, o mijn ziel! zwijg Gode; want van Hem is mijn verwachting.
Only to God be silent O self my for that [is] from him hope my.
6 Hij is immers mijn Rotssteen en mijn Heil, mijn Hoog Vertrek; ik zal niet wankelen.
Only he [is] rock my and salvation my refuge my not I will be shaken.
7 In God is mijn Heil en mijn Eer; de Rotssteen mijner sterkte, mijn Toevlucht is in God.
[is] on God salvation my and honor my [the] rock of strength my refuge my [is] in God.
8 Vertrouw op Hem te aller tijd, o gij volk! Stort ulieder hart uit voor Zijn aangezicht; God is ons een Toevlucht. (Sela)
Trust in him at every time - O people pour out before him heart your God [is] a refuge of us (Selah)
9 Immers zijn de gemene lieden ijdelheid, de grote lieden zijn leugen; in de weegschaal opgewogen, zouden zij samen lichter zijn dan de ijdelheid.
Only - [are] a breath [the] children of humankind [are] falsehood [the] children of everyone in [the] balances to go up they [are] more than a breath together.
10 Vertrouwt niet op onderdrukking, noch op roverij; wordt niet ijdel, als het vermogen overvloedig aanwast, en zet er het hart niet op.
May not you trust in extortion and in robbery may not you put vain hope wealth - if it will bear fruit may not you set heart.
11 God heeft een ding gesproken, ik heb dit tweemaal gehoord: dat de sterkte Godes is.
One [time] - he has spoken God two [times] this I have heard that strength [belongs] to God.
12 En de goedertierenheid, o Heere! is Uwe; want Gij zult een iegelijk vergelden naar zijn werk.
And [belongs] to you O Lord covenant loyalty for you you repay to a person according to work his.
