Mattheüs 10
1 En Zijn twaalf discipelen tot Zich geroepen hebbende, heeft Hij hun macht gegeven over de onreine geesten, om dezelve uit te werpen, en om alle ziekte en alle kwale te genezen.
And having summoned the twelve disciples of Him He gave to them authority over spirits unclean so as to cast out them and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 De namen nu der twaalf apostelen zijn deze: de eerste, Simon, gezegd Petrus, en Andreas, zijn broeder; Jakobus, de zoon van Zebedeus, en Johannes, zijn broeder;
And of the twelve apostles the names are these: first Simon who is being named Peter and Andrew the brother of him, (and *no*) James the [son] of Zebedee and John the brother of him,
3 Filippus en Bartholomeus; Thomas en Mattheus, de tollenaar; Jakobus, de zoon van Alfeus, en Lebbeus, toegenaamd Thaddeus;
Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector, James the [son] of Alphaeus and (Lebbaeus which having been called *K*) Thaddaeus,
4 Simon Kananites, en Judas Iskariot, die Hem ook verraden heeft.
Simon the Zealot and Judas (*no*) Iscariot the [one] also having betrayed Him.
5 Deze twaalf heeft Jezus uitgezonden, en hun bevel gegeven, zeggende: Gij zult niet heengaan op den weg der heidenen, en gij zult niet ingaan in enige stad der Samaritanen.
These twelve sent forth Jesus having instructed them saying; Into [the] way of the Gentiles not shall go off and into any city of [the] Samaritans not shall enter;
6 Maar gaat veel meer heen tot de verloren schapen van het huis Israels.
do go however rather to those sheep the already perishing of [the] house of Israel.
7 En heengaande predikt, zeggende: Het Koninkrijk der hemelen is nabij gekomen.
Going on also do proclaim saying that Has drawn near the kingdom of the heavens.
8 Geneest de kranken; reinigt de melaatsen; wekt de doden op; werpt de duivelen uit. Gij hebt het om niet ontvangen, geeft het om niet.
[Those] ailing do heal, dead do raise, lepers do cleanse, demons do cast out; freely you received, freely do give.
9 Verkrijgt u noch goud, noch zilver, noch koper geld in uw gordels;
Neither may take along gold nor silver nor copper in the belts of you,
10 Noch male tot den weg, noch twee rokken, noch schoenen, noch staf; want de arbeider is zijn voedsel waardig.
nor provision-bag for [the] way nor [take] two tunics nor sandals nor a staff; worthy [is] for the workman of the provisions of him (is. *k*)
11 En in wat stad of vlek gij zult inkomen, onderzoekt, wie daarin waardig is; en blijft aldaar, totdat gij daar uitgaat.
into whatever now when city or village you may enter, do inquire who in it worthy is and there and there do remain until when you may go forth.
12 En als gij in het huis gaat, zo groet hetzelve.
Entering now into the house do greet it.
13 En indien dat huis waardig is, zo kome uw vrede over hetzelve, maar indien het niet waardig is, zo kere uw vrede weder tot u.
And if indeed shall be the house worthy, should come the peace of you upon it; only however unless it shall be worthy, the peace of you (to *NK(o)*) you should return.
14 En zo iemand u niet zal ontvangen, noch uw woorden horen, uitgaande uit dat huis of uit dezelve stad, schudt het stof uwer voeten af.
And who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) unless shall receive you nor shall he hear the words of you, going forth out of the house or of the city that do shake off the dust of the feet of you!
15 Voorwaar zeg Ik u: Het zal den lande van Sodom en Gomorra verdragelijker zijn in den dag des oordeels, dan dezelve stad.
Amen I say to you; More tolerable it will be for [the] land of Sodom and of Gomorrah on day of judgment than the city for that.
16 Ziet, Ik zende u als schapen in het midden der wolven; zijt dan voorzichtig gelijk de slangen, en oprecht gelijk de duiven.
Behold I myself send forth you as sheep in [the] midst of wolves; do be therefore shrewd as the serpents and innocent as the doves.
17 Maar wacht u voor de mensen; want zij zullen u overleveren in de raadsvergaderingen, en in hun synagogen zullen zij u geselen.
do beware however of men; they will deliver for you into courts and in the synagogues of them they will flog you;
18 En gij zult ook voor stadhouders en koningen geleid worden, om Mijnentwil, hun en den heidenen tot getuigenis.
and before governors also and kings you will be brought on account of Me for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
19 Doch wanneer zij u overleveren, zo zult gij niet bezorgd zijn, hoe of wat gij spreken zult; want het zal u in dezelve ure gegeven worden, wat gij spreken zult.
When then (they may deliver up *N(k)O*) you, not may be anxious how or what you may speak; it will be given for you in that [very] hour what (you may say; *N(k)O*)
20 Want gij zijt het niet, die spreekt, maar het is de Geest uws Vaders, Die in u spreekt.
Not for you yourselves are [the] ones speaking but the Spirit of the Father of you who is speaking through you.
21 En de ene broeder zal den anderen broeder overleveren tot den dood, en de vader het kind, en de kinderen zullen opstaan tegen de ouders, en zullen hen doden.
Will deliver up now brother brother to death and father child; And will rise up children against parents and will put to death them.
22 En gij zult van allen gehaat worden om Mijn Naam; maar die volstandig zal blijven tot het einde, die zal zalig worden.
And you will be hated by all on account of the name of Me; the [one] however having endured to [the] end, he will be saved.
23 Wanneer zij u dan in deze stad vervolgen, vliedt in de andere; want voorwaar zeg ik u: Gij zult uw reis door de steden Israels niet geeindigd hebben, of de Zoon des mensen zal gekomen zijn.
Whenever then they may persecute you in the city one, do flee to (a different; *N(k)O*) Amen for I say to you; certainly not shall you have completed the cities of Israel until when may come the Son of Man.
24 De discipel is niet boven den meester, noch de dienstknecht boven zijn heer.
Not is a disciple above the teacher nor [is] a servant above the master of him.
25 Het zij den discipel genoeg, dat hij worde gelijk zijn meester, en de dienstknecht gelijk zijn heer. Indien zij den Heere des huizes Beelzebul hebben geheten, hoeveel te meer Zijn huisgenoten!
[It is] sufficient for the disciple that he may become as the teacher of him and the servant as the master of him. If the master of the house Beelzebul (they called on, *N(k)O*) how much more those house members of him?
26 Vreest dan hen niet; want er is niets bedekt, hetwelk niet zal ontdekt worden, en verborgen, hetwelk niet zal geweten worden.
Not therefore do fear them; no [thing] for is concealed which not will be revealed or hidden which not will be known.
27 Hetgeen Ik u zeg in de duisternis, zegt het in het licht; en hetgeen gij hoort in het oor, predikt dat op de daken.
What I tell you in the darkness do speak in the light, and what in the ear you hear do proclaim upon the housetops!
28 En vreest u niet voor degenen, die het lichaam doden, en de ziel niet kunnen doden; maar vreest veel meer Hem, Die beide ziel en lichaam kan verderven in de hel. (Geenna g1067)
And not (do be afraid *N(k)O*) of those killing the body, the however soul not being able to kill; (do be afraid *N(k)O*) however rather the [One] being able both (*o*) soul and (*o*) body to destroy in hell. (Geenna g1067)
29 Worden niet twee musjes om een penningsken verkocht? En niet een van deze zal op de aarde vallen zonder uw Vader.
Surely two sparrows for an assarion are sold? And one of them not will fall to the ground apart from the Father of you!
30 En ook uw haren des hoofds zijn alle geteld.
Of you now even the hairs of the head all numbered are.
31 Vreest dan niet; gij gaat vele musjes te boven.
Not therefore (do fear; *N(k)O*) than many sparrows are worth more you yourselves.
32 Een iegelijk dan, die Mij belijden zal voor de mensen, dien zal Ik ook belijden voor Mijn Vader, Die in de hemelen is.
Everyone therefore who will confess in Me myself before men, will confess also I myself also I myself in him before the Father of Mine who [is] in (the *no*) heavens.
33 Maar zo wie Mij verloochend zal hebben voor de mensen, dien zal Ik ook verloochenen voor Mijn Vader, Die in de hemelen is.
Whoever now maybe may deny Me before men, will deny I myself also I myself also him before the Father of Mine who [is] in (the *no*) heavens.
34 Meent niet, dat Ik gekomen ben, om vrede te brengen op de aarde; Ik ben niet gekomen om vrede te brengen, maar het zwaard.
Not may you think that I came to bring peace to the earth; not I came to bring peace but a sword.
35 Want Ik ben gekomen, om den mens tweedrachtig te maken tegen zijn vader, en de dochter tegen haar moeder, en de schoondochter tegen haar schoonmoeder.
I came for to set at variance A man against the father of him and a daughter against the mother of her and a daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law of her;
36 En zij zullen des mensen vijanden worden, die zijn huisgenoten zijn.
And enemies of the man the household of him.
37 Die vader of moeder liefheeft boven Mij, is Mijns niet waardig; en die zoon of dochter liefheeft boven Mij, is Mijns niet waardig.
The [one] loving father or mother above Me myself not is of Me worthy, and the [one] loving son or daughter above Me myself not is of Me worthy;
38 En die zijn kruis niet op zich neemt, en Mij navolgt, is Mijns niet waardig.
And he who not takes the cross of him and follows after Me, not is of Me worthy.
39 Die zijn ziel vindt, zal dezelve verliezen; en die zijn ziel zal verloren hebben om Mijnentwil, zal dezelve vinden.
The [one] having found the life of him will lose it and the [one] having lost the life of him on account of Me will find it.
40 Die u ontvangt, ontvangt Mij; en die Mij ontvangt, ontvangt Hem, Die Mij gezonden heeft.
The [One] receiving you Me myself receives, and the [one] Me myself receiving he receives the [One] having sent Me.
41 Die een profeet ontvangt in den naam eens profeten, zal het loon eens profeten ontvangen; en die een rechtvaardige ontvangt in den naam eens rechtvaardigen, zal het loon eens rechtvaardigen ontvangen.
The [one] receiving a prophet in [the] name of a prophet [the] reward of a prophet will receive, and the [one] receiving a righteous [man] in [the] name of a righteous [man] [the] reward of a righteous [man] will receive.
42 En zo wie een van deze kleinen te drinken geeft alleenlijk een beker koud water, in den naam eens discipels, voorwaar zeg Ik u, hij zal zijn loon geenszins verliezen.
And who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) shall give to drink to one of the little ones of these a cup of cold [water] only in [the] name of a disciple, Amen I say to you; certainly not shall he lose the reward of him.
