Job 18
1 Toen antwoordde Bildad, de Suhiet, en zeide:
And he answered Bildad the Shuhite and he said.
2 Hoe lang is het, dat gijlieden een einde van woorden zult maken? Merkt op, en daarna zullen wij spreken.
Until when? - will you make! ends of words you will consider and after we will speak.
3 Waarom worden wij geacht als beesten, en zijn onrein in ulieder ogen?
Why? are we regarded like cattle are we considered stupid? in view your.
4 O gij, die zijn ziel verscheurt door zijn toorn! Zal om uwentwil de aarde verlaten worden, en zal een rots versteld worden uit haar plaats?
O [one who] tears self his in anger his ¿ for sake your may it be abandoned [the] earth so it may move? a rock from place its.
5 Ja, het licht der goddelozen zal uitgeblust worden, en de vonk zijns vuurs zal niet glinsteren.
Also [the] light of wicked [people] it is extinguished and not it shines [the] flame of fire his.
6 Het licht zal verduisteren in zijn tent, en zijn lamp zal over hem uitgeblust worden.
[the] light It grows dark in tent his and lamp his above him it is extinguished.
7 De treden zijner macht zullen benauwd worden, en zijn raad zal hem nederwerpen.
They are restricted [the] steps of vigor his and it throws down him own plan[s] his.
8 Want met zijn voeten zal hij in het net geworpen worden, en zal in het wargaren wandelen.
For he is caught in a net by feet his and on a network he walks about.
9 De strik zal hem bij de verzenen vatten; de struikrover zal hem overweldigen.
It takes hold on a heel a trap it takes hold on him a snare.
10 Zijn touw is in de aarde verborgen, en zijn val op het pad.

11 De beroeringen zullen hem rondom verschrikken, en hem verstrooien op zijn voeten.
All around they terrify him sudden terror and they scatter him to feet his.
12 Zijn macht zal hongerig wezen, en het verderf is bereid aan zijn zijde.
It is hungry trouble his and disaster [is] prepared for stumbling his.
13 De eerstgeborene des doods zal de grendelen zijner huid verteren, zijn grendelen zal hij verteren.
It consumes [the] parts of skin his it consumes parts his [the] firstborn of death.
14 Zijn vertrouwen zal uit zijn tent uitgerukt worden; zulks zal hem doen treden tot den koning der verschrikkingen.
He is torn away from tent his trust his and it makes march him to [the] king of sudden terror.
15 Zij zal wonen in zijn tent, waar zij de zijne niet is; zijn woning zal met zwavel overstrooid worden.
It dwells in tent his because not [belonging] to him it is scattered over estate his sulfur.
16 Van onder zullen zijn wortelen verdorren, en van boven zal zijn tak afgesneden worden.
Beneath roots his they are dried up and above it withers branch[es] his.
17 Zijn gedachtenis zal vergaan van de aarde, en hij zal geen naam hebben op de straten.
Memory his it perishes from [the] earth and not a name [belongs] to him on [the] face of [the] street.
18 Men zal hem stoten van het licht in de duisternis, en men zal hem van de wereld verjagen.
People drive him from light into darkness and from [the] world they chase away him.
19 Hij zal geen zoon, noch neef hebben onder zijn volk; en niemand zal in zijn woningen overig zijn.
Not posterity [belongs] to him and not progeny [is] among people his and there not [is] a survivor in sojourning-places his.
20 Over zijn dag zullen de nakomelingen verbaasd zijn, en de ouden met schrik bevangen worden.
On day his they are appalled [those] behind and [those] before they take hold of a shudder.
21 Gewisselijk, zodanige zijn de woningen des verkeerden, en dit is de plaats desgenen die God niet kent.
Surely these [are] [the] dwelling places of an evil-doer and this [is the] place of [one who] not he knows God.
