Job 12
1 Maar Job antwoordde en zeide:
And he answered Job and he said.
2 Trouwens, omdat gijlieden het volk zijt, zo zal de wijsheid met ulieden sterven!
Truly that you [are the] people and with you it will die wisdom.
3 Ik heb ook een hart even als gijlieden, ik zwicht niet voor u; en bij wien zijn niet dergelijke dingen?
Also [belongs] to me a heart - like you not [am] falling I more than you and with whom? [are] there not like these [things].
4 Ik ben het, die zijn vriend een spot is, maar roepende tot God, Die hem verhoort; de rechtvaardige en oprechte is een spot.
A laughingstock to friend his - I am [one who] called to God and he answered him [is] a laughingstock a righteous [person] a blameless [person].
5 Hij is een verachte fakkel, naar de mening desgenen, die gerust is; hij is gereed met den voet te struikelen.
[belongs] to Disaster contempt to [the] thought of [one] at ease a push [belongs] to [those who] are sliding of foot.
6 De tenten der verwoesters hebben rust, en die God tergen, hebben verzekerdheden, om hetgene God met Zijn hand toebrengt.
They are at peace [the] tents - of destroyers and securiti [belong] to provokers of God to [those] whom he has brought God in hand his.
7 En waarlijk, vraag toch de beesten, en elkeen van die zal het u leren; en het gevogelte des hemels, dat zal het u te kennen geven.
And but ask please [the] animals so it may teach you and [the] bird[s] of the heavens so it may tell to you.
8 Of spreek tot de aarde, en zij zal het u leren; ook zullen het u de vissen der zee vertellen.
Or complain to the earth so it may teach you and they may recount to you [the] fish of the sea.
9 Wie weet niet uit alle deze, dat de hand des HEEREN dit doet?
Who? not does it know among all these for [the] hand of Yahweh it has done this.
10 In Wiens hand de ziel is van al wat leeft, en de geest van alle vlees des mensen.
[he] whom [is] in Hand his [the] life of every living [thing] and [the] breath of all flesh of humankind.
11 Zal niet het oor de woorden proeven, gelijk het gehemelte voor zich de spijze smaakt?
¿ Not an ear words does it test and a palate food it tastes itself.
12 In de stokouden is de wijsheid, en in de langheid der dagen het verstand.
[is] with Aged [people] wisdom and [is with] length of days understanding.
13 Bij Hem is wijsheid en macht; Hij heeft raad en verstand.
[are] with Him wisdom and might [belong] to him counsel and understanding.
14 Ziet, Hij breekt af, en het zal niet herbouwd worden; Hij besluit iemand, en er zal niet opengedaan worden.
There! he tears down and not it will be rebuilt he shuts on a person and not it will be opened.
15 Ziet, Hij houdt de wateren op, en zij drogen uit; ook laat Hij ze uit, en zij keren de aarde om.
There! he holds back the waters so they may be dry and he lets loose them and they may devastate [the] earth.
16 Bij Hem is kracht en wijsheid; Zijns is de dwalende, en die doet dwalen.
[are] with Him strength and sound wisdom [belong] to him [one who] goes astray and [one who] leads astray.
17 Hij voert de raadsheren beroofd weg, en de rechters maakt Hij uitzinnig,
[he is] leading away Counselors barefoot and judges he makes look foolish.
18 Den band der koningen maakt Hij los, en Hij bindt den gordel aan hun lenden.
[the] correction of Kings he loosens and he bound a loincloth on loins their.
19 Hij voert de oversten beroofd weg, en de machtigen keert Hij om.
[he is] leading away Priests barefoot and [people] long established he overturns.
20 Hij beneemt den getrouwen de spraak, en der ouden oordeel neemt Hij weg.
[he is] removing A lip of trusted [ones] and [the] discernment of elders he takes away.
21 Hij giet verachting over de prinsen uit, en Hij verslapt den riem der geweldigen.
[he is] pouring Contempt on noble [people] and [the] belt of strong people he loosens.
22 Hij openbaart de diepten uit de duisternis, en des doods schaduwe brengt Hij voort in het licht.
[he is] revealing Unfathomable [things] from darkness and he brought out to the light deep darkness.
23 Hij vermenigvuldigt de volken, en verderft ze; Hij breidt de volken uit, en leidt ze.
[he is] making great the Nations and he destroyed them [he is] spreading out the nations and he led them.
24 Hij neemt het hart van de hoofden des volks der aarde weg, en doet hen dwalen in het woeste, waar geen weg is.
[he is] removing [the] heart of [the] leaders of [the] people of The earth and he made wander them in a wasteland not a path.
25 Zij tasten in de duisternis, waar geen licht is; en Hij doet hen dwalen, als een dronkaard.
They grope darkness and not light and he made wander them like drunkard.
