Jesaja 1
1 Het gezicht van Jesaja, den zoon van Amoz, hetwelk hij zag over Juda en Jeruzalem, in de dagen van Uzzia, Jotham, Achaz en Hizkia, de koningen van Juda.
[the] vision of Isaiah [the] son of Amoz which he saw on Judah and Jerusalem in [the] days of Uzziah Jotham Ahaz Hezekiah [the] kings of Judah.
2 Hoort, gij hemelen! en neem ter ore, gij aarde! want de HEERE spreekt: Ik heb kinderen groot gemaakt en verhoogd; maar zij hebben tegen Mij overtreden.
Hear O heavens and give ear O earth for Yahweh he has spoken children I have brought up and I have raised and they they have rebelled against me.
3 Een os kent zijn bezitter, en een ezel de krib zijns heren; maar Israel heeft geen kennis, Mijn volk verstaat niet.
It knows an ox owner its and a donkey [the] feeding trough of owner its Israel not it knows people my not it considers carefully.
4 Wee het zondige volk, het volk van zware ongerechtigheid, het zaad der boosdoeners, de verdervende kinderen! Zij hebben den HEERE verlaten, zij hebben den Heilige Israels gelasterd, zij hebben zich vervreemd, wijkende achterwaarts.
Woe to! - a nation [which] sins a people heavy of iniquity of spring [who] do evil children [who] behave corruptly they have forsaken Yahweh they have spurned [the] holy [one] of Israel they have become estranged back part.
5 Waartoe zoudt gij meer geslagen worden? Gij zoudt des afvals des te meer maken; het ganse hoofd is krank, en het ganse hart is mat.
Concerning what? will you be struck again will you increase? rebellion all [the] head [is] for sickness and all [the] heart [is] faint.
6 Van de voetzool af tot het hoofd toe is er niets geheels aan hetzelve; maar wonden, en striemen, en etterbuilen, die niet uitgedrukt noch verbonden zijn, en geen derzelve is met olie verzacht.
From [the] sole of [the] foot and to [the] head there not in it [is] soundness bruise[s] and welt[s] and wound[s] fresh not they have been pressed out and not they have been bound up and not it has been softened with oil.
7 Uw aardrijk is een verwoesting, uw steden zijn met het vuur verbrand; uw land verteren de vreemden in uw tegenwoordigheid, en een verwoesting is er, als een omkering door de vreemden.
Land your [is] a desolation cities your [have been] burned fire ground your to before you strangers [are] devouring it and desolation [is] like [the] overthrow of strangers.
8 En de dochter van Sion is overgebleven als een hutje in den wijngaard, als een nachthutje in den komkommerhof, als een belegerde stad.
And she has been left [the] daughter of Zion like a shelter in a vineyard like a watchman's hut in a cucumber field like a city besieged.
9 Zo niet de HEERE der heirscharen ons nog een weinig overblijfsel had gelaten, als Sodom zouden wij geworden zijn; wij zouden Gomorra gelijk zijn geworden.
If not Yahweh of hosts he had left to us survivor[s] like a little like Sodom we were Gomorrah we were like.
10 Hoort des HEEREN woord, gij oversten van Sodom! neemt ter ore de wet onzes Gods, gij volk van Gomorra!
Hear [the] word of Yahweh O rulers of Sodom give ear to [the] instruction of God our O people of Gomorrah.
11 Waartoe zal Mij zijn de veelheid uwer slachtoffers? zegt de HEERE; Ik ben zat van de brandoffers der rammen, en het smeer der vette beesten, en heb geen lust aan het bloed der varren, noch der lammeren, noch der bokken.
Why? to me [the] multitude of sacrifices your he says Yahweh I have been surfeited burnt offerings of rams and [the] fat of fatlings and [the] blood of bulls and lambs and goats not I am pleased.
12 Wanneer gijlieden voor Mijn aangezicht komt te verschijnen, wie heeft zulks van uw hand geeist, dat gij Mijn voorhoven betreden zoudt?
If you come to present yourselves presence my who? did he require this from hand your to trample courts my.
13 Brengt niet meer vergeefs offer, het reukwerk is Mij een gruwel; de nieuwe maanden, en sabbatten, en het bijeenroepen der vergaderingen vermag Ik niet, het is ongerechtigheid, zelfs de verbodsdagen.
Not you must repeat to bring an offering of worthlessness incense [is] an abomination it to me new moon and sabbath [the] calling of convocation[s] not I am able to endure wickedness and solemn assembli[es].
14 Uw nieuwe maanden en uw gezette hoogtijden haat Mijn ziel, zij zijn Mij tot een last; Ik ben moede geworden, die te dragen.
New moons your and appointed feasts your it hates self my they have become on me a burden I am weary to bear [them].
15 En als gijlieden uw handen uitbreidt, verberg Ik Mijn ogen voor u; ook wanneer gij het gebed vermenigvuldigt, hoor Ik niet; want uw handen zijn vol bloed.
And when spread out you hands your I will hide eyes my from you also for you will multiply prayer not I [will be] hearing hands your blood they are full.
16 Wast u, reinigt u, doet de boosheid uwer handelingen van voor Mijn ogen weg, laat af van kwaad te doen.
Wash cleanse yourselves remove [the] wickedness of deeds your from before eyes my cease to do evil.
17 Leert goed te doen, zoekt het recht, helpt den verdrukte, doet den wees recht, handelt de twistzaak der weduwe.
learn To do good seek justice set right [the] oppressor vindicate [the] fatherless conduct a case for [the] widow.
18 Komt dan, en laat ons samen rechten, zegt de HEERE; al waren uw zonden als scharlaken, zij zullen wit worden als sneeuw, al waren zij rood als karmozijn, zij zullen worden als witte wol.
Come please so let us argue our case together he says Yahweh though they are sins your like scarlet like snow they will become white though they are red like crimson like wool they will be.
19 Indien gijlieden willig zijt en hoort, zo zult gij het goede dezes lands eten;
If you will be willing and you will obey [the] good thing[s] of the land you will eat.
20 Maar indien gij weigert, en wederspannig zijt, zo zult gij van het zwaard gegeten worden; want de mond des HEEREN heeft het gesproken.
And if you will refuse and you will rebel [the] sword you will be eaten for [the] mouth of Yahweh it has spoken.
21 Hoe is de getrouwe stad tot een hoer geworden! Zij was vol recht, gerechtigheid herbergde daarin, maar nu doodslagers.
How! it has become a prostitute a town faithful full of justice righteousness it lodged in it and now murderers.
22 Uw zilver is geworden tot schuim; uw wijn is vermengd met water.
Silver your it has become dross drink your [has been] mixed with water.
23 Uw vorsten zijn afvalligen, en metgezellen der dieven, een ieder van hen heeft geschenken lief, en zij jagen de vergeldingen na; den wezen doen zij geen recht, en de twistzaak der weduwen komt voor hen niet.
Leaders your [are] rebels and companions of thieves all of it [is] loving a bribe and [is] pursuing rewards [the] fatherless not they vindicate and [the] lawsuit of a widow not it comes to them.
24 Daarom spreekt de Heere, HEERE der heirscharen, de Machtige Israels: O wee! Ik zal Mij troosten van Mijn wederpartijders. Ik zal Mij wreken van Mijn vijanden.
Therefore [the] utterance of the lord Yahweh of hosts [the] mighty one of Israel woe! I will ease myself from foes my and I will avenge myself from enemies my.
25 En Ik zal Mijn hand tegen u keren, en Ik zal uw schuim op het allerreinste afzuiveren, en Ik zal al uw tin wegnemen.
And I will turn hand my on you so I may refine like potash dross your and I will remove all slag your.
26 En Ik zal u uw rechters wedergeven, als in het eerste, en uw raadslieden als in den beginne; daarna zult gij een stad der gerechtigheid, een getrouwe stad, genoemd worden.
And I will restore judges your as at the former [time] and counselors your as at the beginning after thus it will be called to you [the] city of righteousness a town faithful.
27 Sion zal door recht verlost worden, en haar wederkerenden door gerechtigheid.
Zion with justice it will be redeemed and repentant [ones] its with righteousness.
28 Maar er zal verbreking zijn der overtreders, en der zondaars te zamen; en die den HEERE verlaten, zullen omkomen.
And a crushing of rebels and sinners together and [those who] forsake Yahweh they will come to an end.
29 Want zij zullen beschaamd worden om der eiken wil, die gijlieden begeerd hebt, en gij zult schaamrood worden, om der hoven wil, die gij verkoren hebt.
For they will be ashamed from [the] oaks which you have desired and you may be abashed from the gardens which you have chosen.
30 Want gij zult zijn als een eik, welks bladeren afvallen, en als een hof, die geen water heeft.
For you will be like an oak [which is] withering leafage its and like a garden which water not [belongs] to it.
31 En de sterke zal wezen tot grof vlas, en zijn werkmeester tot een vonk, en zij zullen beiden te zamen branden, en er zal geen uitblusser wezen.
And he will become the strong [person] tow and work his a spark and they will burn both of them together and there not [will be one who] extinguishes.
