Psalmen 93

1 Jahweh is Koning! Jahweh heeft Zich met hoogheid bekleed, En met kracht Zich omgord. De aarde staat onwankelbaar vast,

The Lord reigneth, and is clothed with maiestie: the Lord is clothed, and girded with power: the world also shall be established, that it cannot be mooued.

2 Maar vóór alle tijd staat uw troon; Gij zijt van eeuwigheid af!

Thy throne is established of olde: thou art from euerlasting.

3 De stromen verheffen, o Jahweh, De stromen verheffen hun stem, De stromen verheffen hun bruisen.

The floodes haue lifted vp, O Lord: the floodes haue lifted vp their voyce: the floods lift vp their waues.

4 Maar boven het druisen der machtige wateren, Boven de ontzaglijke branding der zee, Zijt Gij ontzaglijk in den hoge, o Jahweh!

The waues of ye sea are marueilous through the noyse of many waters, yet the Lord on High is more mightie.

5 Onveranderlijk blijven uw wetten, Heiligheid past aan uw huis, Tot in lengte van dagen, o Jahweh!

Thy testimonies are very sure: holinesse becommeth thine House, O Lord, for euer.
