1 Jahweh sprak tot Moses en Aäron:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.
2 Neemt van de Levieten het volledig getal der Kehatieten op naar hun geslachten en families,
Lift up [the] head of [the] descendants of Kohath from among [the] descendants of Levi to clans their to [the] house of ancestors their.
3 van dertig jaar af tot vijftig jaar toe, en wel iedereen die in staat is om dienst te verrichten bij de openbaringstent.
From a son of thirty year[s] and up-wards and to a son of fifty year[s] every [one who] comes for the service to do work in [the] tent of meeting.
4 De taak der Kehatieten in de openbaringstent strekt zich tot het hoogheilige uit.
This [is] [the] service of [the] descendants of Kohath in [the] tent of meeting [the] holy thing of the holy things.
5 Wanneer het kamp wordt opgebroken, moeten Aäron en zijn zonen naar binnen gaan, het voorhangsel afnemen en de ark des Verbonds er mee bedekken;
And he will go Aaron and sons his when sets out the camp and they will take down [the] curtain of the screen and they will cover with it [the] ark of the testimony.
6 daaroverheen moeten zij een dek van gelooide huiden leggen, daarover nog een geheel violet kleed uitspreiden, en er de draagstokken aan zetten.
And they will put over it a covering of skin of dolphin and they will spread out a covering of an entirety of violet stuff from to above and they will put in poles its.
7 Ook over de tafel van de toonbroden moeten zij een violet kleed spreiden, en daarop de schotels, pannen, schalen en bekers voor de plengoffers plaatsen, terwijl ook het bestendig brood daarop moet liggen;
And over - [the] table of the presence they will spread out a covering of violet stuff and they will put on it the dishes and the pans and the bowls and [the] jugs of the drink offering and [the] bread of continuity on it it will be.
8 daaroverheen moeten zij een karmozijnen kleed spreiden, het met een dekkleed van gelooide huiden bedekken, en er de draagstokken aan zetten.
And they will spread out over them a covering of scarlet stuff of scarlet and they will cover it with a covering of skin of dolphin and they will put in poles its.
9 Dan moeten zij een violet kleed nemen, de kandelaar er mee bedekken met zijn lampen, snuiters, tangen, bakjes en alle vaatwerk voor de olie, waarmee zij hem verzorgen,
And they will take - a covering of violet stuff and they will cover [the] lampstand of the light and lamps its and tongs its and fire-pans its and all [the] vessels of oil its which they will serve it by them.
10 hem met al zijn benodigdheden in een dekkleed van gelooide huiden wikkelen, en op een draagbaar zetten.
And they will put it and all articles its into a covering of skin of dolphin and they will put [it] on the carrying frame.
11 Ook over het gouden altaar moeten zij een violet kleed spreiden, het met een dekkleed van gelooide huiden bedekken, en er de draagstokken aan zetten.
And over - [the] altar of gold they will spread out a covering of violet stuff and they will cover it with a covering of skin of dolphin and they will put in poles its.
12 Daarna moeten zij alle benodigdheden nemen, waarmee zij de dienst in het heiligdom verrichten, op een violet kleed zetten, ze bedekken met een dekkleed van gelooide huiden, en op een draagbaar zetten.
And they will take all [the] articles of service which they will serve by them in the holy place and they will put [them] into a covering of violet stuff and they will cover them with a covering of skin of dolphin and they will put [them] on the carrying frame.
13 Vervolgens moeten zij het altaar van as reinigen, en er een purperen kleed over heen spreiden;
And they will take away [the] ashes from the altar and they will spread out over it a covering of purple cloth.
14 daarop alle benodigdheden plaatsen, waarmee zij de dienst aan het altaar verrichten, de vuurpotten, vorken, schoppen, offerschalen, en alle vaatwerk van het altaar; daaroverheen een dekkleed van gelooide huiden spreiden, en er de draagstokken aan zetten.
And they will put on it all articles its which they will serve at it by them the fire-pans the forks and the shovels and the bowls all [the] articles of the altar and they will spread out over it a covering of skin of dolphin and they will put in poles its.
15 Eerst wanneer bij het opbreken van het kamp Aäron en zijn zonen gereed zijn gekomen met het bedekken van de heilige zaken en al wat daartoe behoort, mogen de Kehatieten binnen komen, om ze te vervoeren. Zij mogen de heilige zaken niet aanraken; anders zouden zij sterven. Dit is het gedeelte van de openbaringstent, dat door de Kehatieten moet worden gedragen.
And he will finish Aaron and sons his to cover the holy place and all [the] articles of the holy place when sets out the camp and after thus they will come [the] descendants of Kohath to carry [them] and not they will touch the holy thing and they will die these [things] [are] [the] burden of [the] descendants of Kohath in [the] tent of meeting.
16 Bovendien moet Elazar, de zoon van den priester Aäron, zorg dragen voor de olie van de kandelaar, de wierook, het altijddurend spijsoffer en de zalfolie; hij heeft dus de zorg voor heel de tabernakel en alles wat daarin is, voor de heilige zaken en haar toebehoren.
And [the] oversight of Eleazar - [the] son of Aaron the priest [is] [the] oil of the light and [the] incense of the perfume and [the] grain offering of continuity and [the] oil of anointing [the] oversight of all the tabernacle and all that [is] in it with [the] holy place and with equipment its.
17 En Jahweh sprak tot Moses en Aäron:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.
18 Zorgt er voor, dat de tak van het Kehatietengeslacht niet uit de kring der Levieten wordt uitgeroeid.
May not you cut off [the] tribe of [the] clans of the Kohathite[s] from among the Levites.
19 Doet dus voor hen als volgt, opdat zij leven en niet sterven, wanneer zij het hoogheilige naderen. Aäron en zijn zonen moeten naar binnen gaan, en ieder van hen aanwijzen, wat hij te doen heeft, en wat hij moet dragen.
And this - do for them and they will live and not they will die when draw near they [the] holy thing of the holy things Aaron and sons his they will go and they will appoint them a man a man on service his and to burden his.
20 Zelf mogen zij niet binnengaan, om zelfs maar een ogenblik de heilige zaken te zien; anders zouden zij sterven.
And not they will go to see as a swallowing the holy thing and they will die.
21 Jahweh sprak tot Moses:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
22 Neem ook het volledig getal van de Gersjonieten op naar hun families en hun geslachten;
Lift up [the] head of [the] descendants of Gershon also they to [the] house of ancestors their to clans their.
23 van dertig jaar af tot vijftig jaar toe moet gij allen inschrijven, die in staat zijn dienst te verrichten bij de openbaringstent.
From a son of thirty year[s] and up-wards to a son of fifty year[s] you will enroll them every [one who] goes to serve service to serve service in [the] tent of meeting.
24 Dit zal de taak zijn van het geslacht der Gersjonieten bij de dienst en bij het vervoer.
This [is] [the] service of [the] clans of the Gershonite[s] to serve and for carrying.
25 Zij moeten de tentdoeken van de tabernakel dragen, de openbaringstent, haar dekkleden, de bedekking van gelooide huiden, die daaroverheen ligt, het tapijt voor de ingang van de openbaringstent,
And they will carry [the] curtains of the tabernacle and [the] tent of meeting covering its and [the] covering of the dolphin which [is] over it from to above and [the] screen of [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting.
26 de gordijnen van de voorhof en het tapijt bij de ingang der poort van de voorhof, die rond de tabernakel en het altaar ligt, en de touwen met alle benodigdheden voor het werk; alles wat daarmee moet gebeuren, zullen zij verrichten.
And [the] curtains of the courtyard and [the] screen of - [the] entrance of - [the] gate of the courtyard which [is] at the tabernacle and at the altar all around and ropes their and all [the] articles of service their and all that it will be done for them and they will serve.
27 Al het werk van de zonen der Gersjonieten moet steeds op aanwijzing van Aäron en zijn zonen geschieden, zowel bij het vervoer, als bij de dienst; al wat ze hebben te dragen, moet ge hun stuk voor stuk aanwijzen.
On [the] mouth of Aaron and sons his it will be all [the] service of [the] descendants of the Gershonite[s] for all carrying their and for all service their and you will assign to them a duty all carrying their.
28 Dit zal de taak van het geslacht van de zonen der Gersjonieten zijn bij de openbaringstent, en hun werkzaamheden zullen onder leiding staan van Itamar, den zoon van den priester Aäron.
This [is] [the] service of [the] clans of [the] descendants of the Gershonite[s] in [the] tent of meeting and duty their [is] in [the] hand of Ithamar [the] son of Aaron the priest.
29 Ook de Merarieten moet ge inschrijven naar hun geslachten en families.
[the] descendants of Merari to clans their to [the] house of ancestors their you will enroll them.
30 Van dertig jaar af tot vijftig jaar toe moet ge allen inschrijven, die in staat zijn, dienst te verrichten bij de openbaringstent.
From a son of thirty year[s] and up-wards and to a son of fifty year[s] you will enroll them every [one who] comes for the service to serve [the] service of [the] tent of meeting.
31 Dit zal hun taak zijn bij het vervoer en de werkzaamheden aan de openbaringstent: de schotten van de tabernakel met de bindlatten, de palen met hun voetstukken,
And this [is] [the] duty of carrying their for all service their in [the] tent of meeting [the] frames of the tabernacle and bars its and pillars its and bases its.
32 de palen van de voorhof rondom met hun voetstukken, pinnen en touwen, met wat er verder toe behoort en al de werkzaamheden daaraan verbonden; stuk voor stuk moet ge hun aanwijzen, wat ze hebben te dragen.
And [the] pillars of the courtyard all around and bases their and tent pegs their and ropes their to all articles their and to all service their and by names you will assign [the] equipment of [the] duty of carrying their.
33 Dit zal de taak zijn van het geslacht der Merarieten, en al hun werkzaamheden aan de openbaringstent zullen onder leiding staan van Itamar, den zoon van den priester Aäron.
This [is] [the] service of [the] clans of [the] descendants of Merari to all service their in [the] tent of meeting in [the] hand of Ithamar [the] son of Aaron the priest.
34 Daarna schreven Moses, Aäron en de leiders der gemeenschap alle zonen der Kehatieten in naar hun geslachten en families,
And he enrolled Moses and Aaron and [the] leaders of the congregation [the] descendants of the Kohathite[s] to clans their and to [the] house of ancestors their.
35 van dertig jaar af tot vijftig jaar toe, die geschikt waren om de dienst bij de openbaringstent te verrichten.
From a son of thirty year[s] and up-wards and to a son of fifty year[s] every [one who] comes for the service for service in [the] tent of meeting.
36 Naar hun geslachten geteld, bedroeg hun aantal tweeduizend zevenhonderd vijftig man.
And they were enrolled [men] their to clans their two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 Dit waren alle ingeschrevenen der Kehatietengeslachten, die dienst moesten doen bij de openbaringstent, en die Moses en Aäron hadden ingeschreven, zoals Jahweh het door Moses bevolen had.
These [were] [the] enrolled [men] of [the] clans of the Kohathite[s] every [one who] serves in [the] tent of meeting whom he enrolled Moses and Aaron on [the] mouth of Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses.
38 Alle ingeschrevenen van de Gersjonieten naar hun geslachten en families,
And [the] enrolled [men] of [the] descendants of Gershon to clans their and to [the] house of ancestors their.
39 van dertig jaar af tot vijftig jaar toe, die geschikt waren om dienst te verrichten bij de openbaringstent,
From a son of thirty year[s] and up-wards and to a son of fifty year[s] every [one who] comes for the service for service in [the] tent of meeting.
40 bedroegen tweeduizend zeshonderd dertig man, naar hun geslachten en families geteld.
And they were enrolled [men] their to clans their to [the] house of ancestors their two thousand and six hundred and thirty.
41 Dit waren alle gemonsterden van de Gersjonietengeslachten, die dienst moesten doen bij de openbaringstent, en die Moses en Aäron hadden ingeschreven, zoals Jahweh het door Moses bevolen had.
These [were] [the] enrolled [men] of [the] clans of [the] descendants of Gershon every [one who] serves in [the] tent of meeting whom he enrolled Moses and Aaron on [the] mouth of Yahweh.
42 Alle ingeschrevenen van de Merarietengeslachten naar hun geslachten en families,

44 bedroegen drieduizend tweehonderd man, naar hun geslachten geteld.
And they were enrolled [men] their to clans their three thousand and two hundred.
45 Dit waren de ingeschrevenen van de Merarietengeslachten, die Moses en Aäron hadden ingeschreven, zoals Jahweh het door Moses bevolen had.
These [were] [the] enrolled [men] of [the] clans of [the] descendants of Merari whom he enrolled Moses and Aaron on [the] mouth of Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses.
46 Alle ingeschreven Levieten, die Moses en Aäron met de leiders van Israël naar hun geslachten en families hadden ingeschreven,
All those enrolled whom he enrolled Moses and Aaron and [the] leaders of Israel the Levites to clans their and to [the] house of ancestors their.
47 van dertig jaar af tot vijftig jaar toe, en die geschikt waren voor het dienstwerk, en het vervoer van de openbaringstent,
From a son of thirty year[s] and up-wards and to a son of fifty year[s] every [one who] comes to serve a service of a service and a service of carrying in [the] tent of meeting.
48 telden achtduizend vijfhonderd tachtig man.
And they were enrolled [men] their eight thousand and five hundred and eighty.
49 Zoals Jahweh het door Moses bevolen had, gaf men ieder zijn taak voor de dienst en het vervoer, en werden zij ingeschreven, zoals Jahweh het Moses bevolen had.
On [the] mouth of Yahweh someone enrolled them by [the] hand of Moses a man a man on service his and on burden his and enrolled [men] his whom he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
