Leviticus 6
1 Jahweh sprak tot Moses:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying—
2 Wanneer iemand zondigt en een vergrijp tegen Jahweh pleegt, door tegenover zijn naaste te loochenen, dat hem iets is toevertrouwd of in bewaring is gegeven, dat iets door hem is geroofd of van zijn naaste afgeperst;
When any person, shall sin, and shall commit a trespass against Yahweh, —and shall withhold something of the truth from his neighbour in respect of a deposit, or a pledge or anything plundered, or shall use extortion with his neighbour;
3 of door te loochenen, dat hij iets heeft gevonden, wat verloren was; wanneer hij de loochening van een van deze dingen, waarin een mens kan zondigen, met een valse eed bekrachtigt,
or shall find something lost and shall withhold something of the truth therein, and shall swear to a falsehood, —as regardeth a single thing of all that a son of earth may do, to commit sin thereby;
4 en zo zondigt en schuld op zich laadt, dan moet hij teruggeven, wat geroofd, of afgeperst, of hem toevertrouwd was, of wat verloren was en hij terugvond,
and so it shall come about that he shall commit sin and then become aware of his guilt, then shall he return the plunder which he had plundered, or the extortion which he had extorted, or the deposit that was deposited with him, —or the lost thing which he hath found:
5 en waarover hij een valse eed heeft afgelegd. Hij moet het ten volle vergoeden, met een vijfde der waarde erbij, en het op de dag van zijn schuldoffer aan den eigenaar betalen.
or in anything as to which he hath been swearing to a falsehood, then shall he make it good in the principal thereof, and the fifth part thereof, shall he add thereunto, —to whomsoever it belongeth, to him, shall he give it in the day he becometh aware of his guilt;
6 Bovendien moet hij voor Jahweh de waarde van een gaven ram uit het kleinvee als zijn schuldoffer naar den priester brengen.
but, his guilt-bearer, itself, shall he bring in unto Yahweh, —a ram without defect out of the flock by thine estimate as a guilt-bearer, unto the priest.
7 Zo zal de priester verzoening voor hem verkrijgen voor het aanschijn van Jahweh, en zal hem vergiffenis worden geschonken voor alles, wat hij misdreven heeft.
So shall the priest put a propitiatory-covering over him before Yahweh, and it shall be forgiven him, —on account of any one thing, of all which one might do, so as to become guilty therein.
8 Jahweh sprak tot Moses:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:
9 Geef aan Aäron en zijn zonen het volgende bevel: Dit is de wet op het brandoffer! Het brandoffer moet heel de nacht door tot aan de morgen op de vuurhaard van het altaar blijven liggen, en het altaarvuur moet daarop blijven branden.
Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the ascending-sacrifice, —the same, is the ascending-sacrifice, which is upon the hearth, upon the altar, all the night until the morning, —and the fire of the altar, shall be kept burning therein.
10 Dan moet de priester zijn linnen tuniek aandoen en over zijn lichaam het linnen heupkleed aantrekken, vervolgens de as wegruimen, waartoe het brandoffer op het altaar door het vuur is verteerd, en die naast het altaar werpen.
So then the priest shall put on his upper garment of linen, and, breeches of linen, shall he put on over his flesh, then shall he take up the fat-ashes, whereto the fire consumeth the ascending-sacrifice on the altar, —and shall put them beside the altar.
11 Dan moet hij zijn kleren uittrekken en andere aandoen, en de as op een reine plek buiten de legerplaats brengen.
Then shall he put off his garments, and put on other garments, —and shall carry forth the fat-ashes unto the outside of the camp, unto a clean place,
12 Het vuur op het altaar moet brandend blijven, en mag niet worden gedoofd. Iedere ochtend moet de priester daarop hout ontsteken, het brandoffer erop leggen, en de vette stukken van de vredeoffers daarop in rook doen opgaan.
And, the fire on the altar, shall be kept burning therein, it shall not be suffered to go out, but the priest shall kindle up thereon pieces of wood, morning by morning, —and shall set in order thereupon the ascending-sacrifice, and shall make a perfume thereon with the fat-pieces of the peace-offerings:
13 Altijd moet het vuur op het altaar blijven branden; het mag nooit worden gedoofd.
fire, shall continually be kept burning on the altar, it shall not be suffered to go out.
14 Dit is de wet op het spijsoffer! De zonen van Aäron moeten het voor het aanschijn van Jahweh voor het altaar brengen.
And, this, is the law of the meal-offering, —the sons of Aaron shall bring it near before Yahweh, unto the front of the altar.
15 Dan moet een van hen een handvol meelbloem van het spijsoffer nemen en iets van de daarbij horende olie, met al de wierook, die bij het spijsoffer hoort, en het op het altaar als een welriekend reukoffer voor Jahweh in rook doen opgaan.
Then shall one lift up therefrom a handful of the fine meal of the meal-offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meal-offering, —and shall make a perfume at the altar, an altar-flame of a satisfying odour, shall the memorial thereof be, unto Yahweh.
16 De rest moeten Aäron en zijn zonen opeten. Ongedesemd moet het op een heilige plaats worden gegeten in de voorhof van de openbaringstent;
And the remainder thereof, shall Aaron and his sons eat, —as unleavened cakes, shall it be eaten, in a holy place, within the court of the tent of meeting, shall they eat it.
17 het mag dus niet gedesemd worden gebakken. Ik sta hun dit af als hun deel van mijn vuuroffers; het is hoogheilig, evenals het zonde en schuldoffer.
It shall not be baked into anything leavened, as their portion, have I given it, from among the altar-flames of Yahweh, —most holy, it is, like the sin-bearer, and like the guilt-bearer,
18 Alle kinderen van Aäron, die van het mannelijk geslacht zijn, mogen het eten. Het is voor uw nageslacht een eeuwig geldende wet met betrekking tot de vuuroffers van Jahweh: al wie ze aanraakt, moet als iets heiligs worden behandeld.
Any male among the sons of Aaron may eat it, an age-abiding statute to your generations from among the altar-flames of Yahweh, —every one that toucheth them shall be hallowed.
19 Jahweh sprak tot Moses:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying—
20 Dit is de offergave, die Aäron en zijn zonen Jahweh moeten brengen, wanneer zij worden gezalfd. Als dagelijks spijsoffer moeten zij een tiende efa meelbloem brengen; de ene helft des morgens, de andere helft des avonds.
This, is the oblation of Aaron and his sons, which they shall bring near unto Yahweh in the day when he is anointed, The tenth of an ephah of fine meal, as a continual meal-offering, —half thereof in the morning, and half thereof in the evening;
21 In een pan moet het met olie worden toebereid, ge moet het aangemaakt brengen; daarna moet ge het in stukken breken, en als een welriekend spijsoffer Jahweh aanbieden.
on a pan, with oil, shall it be made when well mingled, shalt thou bring it in, —in baked portions, as a meal-offering in pieces, shalt thou bring it near as a satisfying odour unto Yahweh.
22 Degene onder zijn zonen, die als zijn opvolger tot priester wordt gezalfd, moet dat doen; dit is een eeuwig geldende wet. Het moet geheel voor Jahweh in rook opgaan;
And the priest that is anointed in his stead from among his sons, shall prepare it, —[it is] an age-abiding statute, that unto Yahweh, shall a perfume, of the entire gift, be made:
23 want elk spijsoffer van een priester moet helemaal worden verbrand, en niets mag ervan worden genuttigd.
yea, every meal-offering of a priest, shall be, entire—it shall not be eaten.
24 Jahweh sprak tot Moses:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying—
25 Zeg aan Aäron en zijn zonen: Dit is de wet op het zondeoffer! Op de plaats, waar het brandoffer wordt geslacht, moet ook het zondeoffer voor het aanschijn van Jahweh worden geslacht; het is hoogheilig.
Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, This, is the law of the sin-bearer. In the place where the ascending-sacrifice is slain, shall the sin-bearer be slain, before Yahweh, most holy, it is.
26 De priester, die het zondeoffer opdraagt, moet het ook nuttigen. Op een heilige plaats in de voorhof van de openbaringstent moet het worden gegeten.
The priest who maketh it a sin-bearer, shall eat it, —in a holy place, shall it be eaten, in the court of the tent of meeting.
27 Iedereen, die het vlees ervan aanraakt, zal als iets heiligs worden behandeld; en wanneer iets van het bloed op een kleed spat, moet ge het bespatte kleed op een heilige plaats wassen.
Every one who toucheth the flesh thereof, shall be hallowed; and when one sprinkleth some of the blood thereof upon a garment, that whereon it was sprinkled, shalt thou wash in a holy place.
28 Wanneer het in een aarden vat is gekookt, moet dit worden gebroken; wanneer het in een bronzen vat is gekookt, moet dit worden geschuurd en met water uitgespoeld.
But, the earthen vessel wherein it is boiled, shall be broken, —or, if, in a vessel of bronze, it hath been boiled, then shall the vessel be scoured and rinsed in water.
29 Alle mannen onder de priesters mogen het eten; het is hoogheilig.
Any male among the priests may eat thereof, —most holy, it is.
30 Maar een zondeoffer, waarvan het bloed binnen de openbaringstent is gebracht, om er in het heiligdom de verzoeningsplechtigheid mee te verrichten, mag niet worden gegeten; dit moet in het vuur worden verbrand.
But, no sin-bearer whereof any of the blood is taken into the tent of meeting to make a propitiatory-covering in the sanctuary, shall be eaten, —with fire, shall it be consumed.
