Leviticus 25
1 Jahweh sprak op de berg Sinaï tot Moses:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses on [the] mountain of Sinai saying.
2 Beveel de Israëlieten, en zeg hun: Wanneer ge in het land zijt gekomen, dat Ik u geven zal, dan moet ook het land ter ere van Jahweh sabbat houden.
Speak to [the] people of Israel and you will say to them if you will go into the land which I [am] about to give to you and it will cease the land a sabbath to Yahweh.
3 Zes jaren kunt ge uw akker bezaaien, zes jaren uw wijngaard snoeien, en de opbrengst ervan inzamelen.
Six years you will sow field your and six years you will prune vineyard your and you will gather produce its.
4 Maar in het zevende jaar moet het land volkomen rust houden, een sabbat ter ere van Jahweh; uw akker moogt ge dan niet bezaaien en uw wijngaard niet snoeien.
And in the year seventh a sabbath of sabbath observance it will belong to the land a sabbath to Yahweh field your not you will sow and vineyard your not you will prune.
5 En wat vanzelf opschiet na de vorige oogst moogt ge niet oogsten, de druiven van uw ongesnoeide wijnstok niet plukken; het is een jaar van rust voor het land.
[the] self-sown grain of Harvest your not you will harvest and [the] grapes untrimmed vines your not you will gather grapes a year of sabbath observance it will belong to the land.
6 Wat tijdens de rust van het land vanzelf groeit, mag echter door u worden gegeten, door u, uw slaaf, uw slavin, uw dagloner, door den inboorling en vreemdeling onder u;
And it will belong [the] sabbath of the land to you to food to you and to [male] slave your and to female slave your and to hired laborer your and to resident alien your who are sojourning with you.
7 ook door het vee en het wild in uw land mag heel die opbrengst worden gegeten.
And to livestock your and to the animal[s] which [is] in land your it will be all produce its to eat.
8 Bovendien moet gij zeven weken van jaren tellen, dus zeven maal zeven jaren, zodat ge een tijd van zeven jaarweken of negen en veertig jaren krijgt.
And you will count for yourself seven sabbaths of years seven years seven times and they will be to you [the] days of seven [the] sabbaths of years nine and forty year[s].
9 Dan moet ge op de tiende dag van de zevende maand bazuingeschal doen klinken; en op de verzoendag door heel uw land de bazuin laten schallen.
And you will cause to pass through a ram's horn of [the] sound of a loud blast in the month seventh on the ten of the month on [the] day of atonement you will cause to pass a ram's horn in all land your.
10 Zo moet ge het vijftigste jaar heiligen! Ge moet in het land bevrijding afkondigen voor al zijn bewoners; het is een jubeljaar voor u, waarin ieder van u in zijn bezit moet worden hersteld en naar zijn familie kan terugkeren.
And you will set apart as holy [the] year of the fifty year and you will proclaim liberty in the land for all inhabitants its a jubilee it it will be to you and you will return each one to possession his and each one to clan his you will return.
11 Het vijftigste jaar is een jubeljaar voor u, waarin ge niet moogt zaaien, wat vanzelf opschiet niet oogsten, en van de ongesnoeide wijnstok niet plukken;
A jubilee it [the] year of the fifty year it will be to you not you will sow and not you will harvest self-sown grain its and not you will gather grapes untrimmed vines its.
12 want het is een jubeljaar, en het moet heilig voor u zijn. Maar wat op het veld vanzelf groeit, moogt ge opeten.
For [is] a jubilee it a holy thing it will be to you from the field you will eat produce its.
13 In dat jubeljaar moet ieder van u in zijn bezit worden hersteld.
In [the] year of the jubilee this you will return each one to possession his.
14 Wanneer ge dus iets aan een ander verkoopt of iets van hem koopt, moogt ge elkaar niet benadelen.
And if you will sell a thing sold to fellow citizen your or you will buy from [the] hand of fellow citizen your may not you maltreat each brother his.
15 Naar het aantal jaren. dat het jubeljaar nog uitblijft, naar het aantal oogstjaren berekend, zult gij van een ander kopen, en zal hij ook aan u verkopen.
By [the] number of years after the jubilee you will buy from with fellow citizen your by [the] number of [the] years of produce he will sell [it] to you.
16 Zijn het nog veel jaren, dan moet ge naar verhouding een hogere koopprijs geven, maar zijn het er nog slechts weinig, dan kunt ge die naar verhouding verminderen; want hij verkoopt u slechts het aantal oogsten.
To [the] mouth of - [the] abundance of the years you will increase purchase price its and to [the] mouth of [the] being small of the years you will make small purchase price its for [the] number of produce he [is] selling to you.
17 Ge moogt dus elkaar niet benadelen, maar gij zult uw God vrezen. Want Ik ben Jahweh, uw God!
And not you will maltreat anyone fellow citizen his and you will fear from God your for I [am] Yahweh God your.
18 Zo ge naar mijn wetten leeft, en mijn geboden onderhoudt en volbrengt, zult ge onbezorgd in het land wonen,
And you will do statutes my and judgments my you will keep and you will do them and you will dwell on the land to security.
19 en zal het u zijn vruchten geven, zodat ge volop kunt eten en er onbezorgd kunt wonen.
And it will give the land fruit its and you will eat to abundance and you will dwell to security on it.
20 En wanneer ge zegt: Wat zullen we in het zevende jaar eten, daar we niet mogen zaaien, noch oogsten?
And if you will say what? will we eat in the year seventh here! not we will sow and not we will gather produce our.
21 dan zal Ik in het zesde jaar zo mijn zegen over u uitstorten, dat het u een oogst voor drie jaren zal opleveren.
And I will command blessing my for you in the year sixth and it will make the produce for [the] three the years.
22 In het achtste jaar zult ge zaaien, en nog van de vorige oogst kunnen eten; tot de oogst van het negende jaar binnenkomt, zult ge nog van de vorige eten.
And you will sow the year eighth and you will eat from the produce old harvest until - the year ninth until comes produce its you will eat old harvest.
23 Ook moogt ge de grond niet voorgoed verkopen; want de grond behoort Mij: gij zijt slechts vreemden en gasten bij Mij.
And the land not it will be sold to perpetuity for [belongs] to me the land for [are] sojourners and resident aliens you with me.
24 Daarom moet ge in heel het land, dat ge bezit, het recht van terugkoop van de grond laten gelden.
And in all [the] land of possession your [the] right of redemption you will give of the land.
25 Wanneer dus uw broeder is verarmd, zodat hij van zijn bezit moet verkopen, dan moet zijn naaste losser komen, en terugkopen, wat zijn broeder heeft verkocht.
If he will become impoverished brother your and he will sell some of possession his and he will come kinsman-redeemer his near to him and he will redeem [the] thing sold of brother his.
26 Heeft iemand geen losser, maar kan hijzelf de middelen vinden, die voor de terugkoop nodig zijn,
And anyone if not he will belong to him a kinsman-redeemer and it will reach hand his and he will find according to [the] sufficiency of redemption its.
27 dan moet hij, de jaren sinds de verkoop in aanmerking nemend, de overige jaren vergoeden aan hem, wien hij verkocht; zo zal hij in zijn bezit worden hersteld.
And he will calculate [the] years of sale its and he will repay the surplus to the person whom he sold [it] to him and he will return to possession his.
28 Wanneer hij geen voldoende middelen kan vinden, om hem te betalen, dan blijft het verkochte tot aan het jubeljaar in het bezit van den koper. Maar in het jubeljaar komt het vrij, en wordt hij weer in zijn bezit hersteld.
And if not it has found hand his sufficiency to repay to him and it will be thing sold his in [the] hand of the [one who] bought it until [the] year of the jubilee and it will go out in the jubilee and he will return to possession his.
29 Wanneer iemand een woonhuis in een ommuurde stad verkoopt, houdt hij het recht van terugkoop, tot er een jaar na de verkoop is verstreken; een jaar duurt dus het recht van terugkoop.
And anyone if he will sell a house of dwelling of a city of a wall and it will be right of redemption its until is finished [the] year of sale its days it will be right of redemption its.
30 Wanneer echter na een vol jaar een huis, dat in een ommuurde stad ligt, nog niet is teruggekocht, blijft het voorgoed het eigendom van den koper en zijn geslacht, en komt ook in het jubeljaar niet vrij.
And if not it will be redeemed until is completed to it a year complete and it will stand the house which [is] in the city which ([belongs] to it *Q(K)*) a wall to perpetuity to the [one who] bought it to generations his not it will go out in the jubilee.
31 Maar huizen in dorpen, die niet door een muur zijn omringd, moeten tot het akkerland worden gerekend. Daarvoor is terugkoop altijd mogelijk, en in het jubeljaar komen zij vrij.
And [the] houses of the villages which not [belongs] to them a wall round about to [the] field of the land it will be reckoned a right of redemption it will belong to it and in the jubilee it will go out.
32 De huizen die de levieten in de levietensteden bezitten, kunnen altijd door hen worden teruggekocht.
And [the] cities of the Levites [the] houses of [the] cities of possession their a right of redemption of perpetuity it will belong to the Levites.
33 Koopt echter niemand der levieten het terug, dan komt het verkochte huis zo het in een stad ligt, die aan de levieten behoort, toch in het jubeljaar vrij. Want de huizen van de levietensteden blijven hun bezit te midden van de Israëlieten.
And that he will redeem one of the Levites and it will go out [the] sale of [the] house and [the] city of possession his in the jubilee for [the] houses of [the] cities of the Levites it [is] possession their in among [the] people of Israel.
34 De weidegrond, die tot hun steden behoort, mag niet worden verkocht, want die vormt voor hen een onvervreemdbaar bezit.
And [the] field of [the] pasture land of cities their not it will be sold for [is] a possession of perpetuity it to them.
35 Wanneer uw broeder, die bij u woont, verarmt en in nood raakt, moet ge hem ondersteunen, zodat hij bij u kan leven, evengoed als een vreemdeling of een inboorling.
And if he will become impoverished brother your and it will slip hand his with you and you will strengthen him a sojourner and a resident alien and he will live with you.
36 Ge moogt geen rente of woekerwinst van hem nemen; maar ge zult uw God vrezen, en uw broeder bij u laten leven.
May not you take from with him interest and profit and you will fear from God your and he will live brother your with you.
37 Geef uw geld niet tegen rente, en leg geen woekerwinst op levensmiddelen.
Silver your not you will give to him for interest and for profit not you will give food your.
38 Ik ben Jahweh, uw God, die u uit Egypte heb geleid, om u het land Kanaän te geven, en uw God te zijn.
I [am] Yahweh God your who I brought out you from [the] land of Egypt to give to you [the] land of Canaan to become for you God.
39 Wanneer uw broeder, die bij u woont, zo is verarmd, dat hij zich als slaaf aan u heeft verkocht, moogt ge hem toch geen slavendienst laten verrichten,
And if he will become impoverished brother your with you and he will sell himself to you not you will labor by him [the] labor of a slave.
40 maar moet hij als een loonarbeider, of een inboorling bij u blijven. Tot het jubeljaar zal hij dus bij u in dienst zijn,
Like a hired laborer like a resident alien he will be with you until [the] year of the jubilee he will serve with you.
41 dan zal hij met zijn zonen vrij van u heengaan, naar zijn familie terugkeren en in zijn vaderlijk bezit worden hersteld.
And he will go out from with you he and sons his with him and he will return to clan his and to [the] possession of ancestors his he will return.
42 Want ze zijn mijn dienaars, die Ik uit Egypte heb geleid; zij mogen dus niet als slaven worden verkocht.
For [are] servants my they whom I brought out them from [the] land of Egypt not they will be sold a sale of a slave.
43 Behandel hen niet met hardheid, maar vrees uw God.
Not you will rule over him with harshness and you will fear from God your.
44 Uw slaven en slavinnen, die uw eigendom zullen zijn, kunt ge u kopen uit de volken, die u omringen.
And [male] slave your and female slave your who they will belong to you from with the nations which [are] around you from them you will buy a [male] slave and a female slave.
45 Ook van de kinderen der inboorlingen, die onder u wonen, kunt ge er kopen, en uit hun families, die ze bij u in het land hebben verwekt. Dezen zullen uw eigendom zijn,
And also some of [the] children of the resident aliens who sojourn with you from them you will buy and from clan their which [is] with you which they have fathered in land your and they will belong to you to a possession.
46 en gij kunt ze aan uw zonen vermaken als erfelijk bezit. Hen moogt ge voor altijd slavendienst laten verrichten; maar de Israëlieten, uw broeders, moogt ge niet met hardheid behandelen.
And you will give as an inheritance them to sons your after you to take possession of a possession for ever by them you will labor and over brothers your [the] people of Israel each over brother his not you will rule over him with harshness.
47 Wanneer een vreemdeling of een inboorling rijk wordt, en uw broeder daarentegen, die bij hem woont, zo verarmt, dat hij zich aan den vreemdeling, den inboorling of aan iemand van hun familie moet verkopen,
And if it will reach [the] hand of a sojourner and a resident alien with you and he will become impoverished brother your with him and he will sell himself to a sojourner a resident alien with you or to a member of [the] clan of a sojourner.
48 dan heeft hij, nadat hij zich heeft verkocht, het recht van vrijkoop. Een van zijn broers kan hem loskopen,
After he has sold himself a right of redemption it will belong to him one of brothers his he will redeem him.
49 of iemand van zijn familie, zijn oom, zijn neef of een van zijn naaste bloedverwanten. Of zo hij de middelen heeft, kan hij zichzelf loskopen.
Or uncle his or [the] son of uncle his he will redeem him or any of [the] relative[s] of flesh his from clan his he will redeem him or it has reached hand his and he will redeem himself.
50 Hij moet dan met den koper de tijd berekenen van het jaar af, dat hij zich aan hem heeft verkocht, tot aan het jubeljaar, en de som, waarvoor hij zich wil terugkopen, moet in verhouding staan tot dat aantal jaren: de tijd, dat hij bij hem bleef, moet berekend worden als die van een loonarbeider.
And he will calculate with [the] [one who] bought him from [the] year he sold himself to him until [the] year of the jubilee and it will be [the] silver of sale his by [the] number of years according to [the] days of a hired laborer he will be with him.
51 Zo het nog veel jaren zijn, moet hij een evenredig bedrag van de koopsom als losgeld terugbetalen.
If still many in the years to mouth their he will repay redemption his some of [the] silver of purchase his.
52 Zo er nog maar weinig jaren over zijn tot aan het jubeljaar, moet hij ze eveneens berekenen, en naar verhouding van zijn jaren het losgeld betalen.
And if few it remains in the years until [the] year of the jubilee and he will calculate for himself according to [the] mouth of years his he will repay redemption his.
53 Hij zal dus bij hem zijn als iemand die per jaar voor loon arbeidt, en door den ander onder uw ogen niet met hardheid worden behandeld.
Like a hired laborer of a year in a year he will be with him not he will rule over him with harshness to eyes your.
54 Maar ook als hij niet op deze manier wordt vrijgekocht, zal hij toch met zijn zonen in het jubeljaar vrijkomen.
And if not he will be redeemed in these [ways] and he will go out in [the] year of the jubilee he and sons his with him.
55 Want de kinderen Israëls zijn mijn dienaren; mijn slaven zijn het, die Ik uit het land van Egypte heb geleid. Ik ben Jahweh, uw God!
For of me [the] people of Israel [are] servants [are] servants my they whom I brought out them from [the] land of Egypt I [am] Yahweh God your.
