Jeremia 11
1 Het woord, dat Jahweh tot Jeremias richtte:
The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh saying.
2 Hoor de woorden van dit Verbond, en predik ze aan de mannen van Juda en de bewoners van Jerusalem.
Hear [the] words of the covenant this and you will speak them to everyone of Judah and to [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem.
3 Dit moet ge hun zeggen: Zo spreekt Jahweh, Israëls God! Vervloekt een ieder, die niet luistert naar de woorden van dit Verbond,
And you will say to them thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel [is] cursed the person who not he will hear [the] words of the covenant this.
4 dat Ik uw vaderen heb voorgeschreven, toen Ik ze uit het land van Egypte, die ijzeroven, heb geleid. Ik heb toen gezegd: Luistert naar Mij, en doet al wat Ik u gebied; dan zult ge mijn volk, en Ik zal uw God zijn.
Which I commanded ancestors your on [the] day brought out I them from [the] land of Egypt from [the] furnace of iron saying listen to voice my and you will do them according to all that I will command you and you will become for me a people and I I will become for you God.
5 Zo heb Ik de eed gestand gedaan, die Ik aan uw vaderen heb gezworen, om hun een land te geven, dat druipt van melk en honing, zoals het heden nog is. Ik gaf ten antwoord: Zo is het, Jahweh!
So as to carry out the oath which I swore to ancestors your to give to them a land flowing of milk and honey like the day this and I answered and I said amen - O Yahweh.
6 En Jahweh zeide tot mij: Verkondig dit alles aan de steden van Juda en in Jerusalems straten! Dit moet ge zeggen: Luistert naar de woorden van dit Verbond, en onderhoudt ze ook.
And he said Yahweh to me proclaim all the words these in [the] cities of Judah and in [the] streets of Jerusalem saying hear [the] words of the covenant this and you will do them.
7 Want sinds Ik uw vaderen uit Egypteland leidde, tot heden toe, heb Ik ‘s morgens vroeg en ‘s avonds laat ze steeds maar bezworen: Luistert naar Mij!
For certainly I warned ancestors your on [the] day brought up I them from [the] land of Egypt and until the day this rising early and warning saying listen to voice my.
8 Maar ze hebben niet geluisterd, niet willen horen; allen zijn de verstoktheid gevolgd van hun boos gemoed. Daarom bracht Ik over hen al de bedreigingen van dit Verbond, dat Ik hun had voorgeschreven, maar dat ze niet onderhielden.
And not they listened and not they inclined ear their and they walked everyone in [the] stubbornness of own heart their evil and I brought on them all [the] words of the covenant this which I commanded to do and not they did.
9 En weer sprak Jahweh tot mij: Er bestaat een complot onder de mannen van Juda en de bewoners van Jerusalem.
And he said Yahweh to me it has been found a conspiracy among everyone of Judah and among [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem.
10 Ze zijn teruggekeerd tot de vroegere zonden van hun vaders, die naar mijn woorden niet wilden horen; ook zij zijn vreemde goden nagelopen, om die te dienen. Het huis van Israël en het huis van Juda hebben het Verbond verkracht, dat Ik met hun vaders had gesloten.
They have returned to [the] iniquities of ancestors their former who they refused to hear words my and they they have walked after gods other to serve them they have broken [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah covenant my which I made with ancestors their.
11 Daarom spreekt Jahweh: Ik zal ze! Ik zal rampen over hen brengen, waaraan men niet kan ontsnappen. En als ze dan tot Mij roepen, zal Ik niet naar hen horen.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to bring to them a calamity which not they will be able to go out from it and they will cry out to me and not I will listen to them.
12 Dan zullen de steden van Juda en de bewoners van Jerusalem tot de goden schreeuwen, voor wie ze wierook hebben gebrand; maar die zullen ze niet kunnen redden, als hun ramp is gekomen.
And they will go [the] cities of Judah and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and they will cry out to the gods which they [are] making smoke to them and certainly not they will deliver them at [the] time of calamity their.
13 Juda, al hebt ge dan evenveel goden als steden; Jerusalem, al richt ge zoveel altaren op als ge straten bezit: altaren voor de Schande, altaren om aan Báal te offeren!
For [the] number of cities your they are gods your O Judah and [the] number of [the] streets of Jerusalem you have made altars to the shameful thing altars to make smoke to Baal.
14 En ook gij moet dan niet voor dit volk gaan bidden, geen klaag- of smeekbede voor hen opstieren; want Ik luister niet, wanneer ze tot Mij roepen, als hun ramp is gekomen.
And you may not you pray for the people this and may not you lift up for them a cry of entreaty and a prayer for not I [will be] listening at [the] time call out they to me for calamity their.
15 Wat heeft mijn geliefde in mijn huis te maken, Als ze schanddaden doet? Of zouden gelofte en heilig vlees Uw rampspoed ver van u houden, Dat gij u zo zeker voelt?
What? to beloved [one] my in house my doing it plan the many [people] and flesh of holiness they will pass away from on you for wickedness your then you will rejoice.
16 Een groene olijf met heerlijke vruchten Had Jahweh u genoemd; Maar onder donderend geraas Heeft Hij vuur gelegd aan zijn blaren, En verbranden zijn takken!
An olive tree luxuriant beautiful of fruit of form he called Yahweh name your to [the] sound of - a rainstorm great he has kindled a fire on it and they are bad branches its.
17 Jahweh der heirscharen, die u had geplant, Bedreigt u met rampen: Om de misdaad van het huis van Israël en Juda, Die ze bedreven, om Mij te tergen, Door wierook voor Báal te branden!
And Yahweh of hosts who planted you he has spoken on you evil on account of [the] evil of [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah which they have done for themselves to provoke to anger me by making smoke to Baal.
18 Jahweh, Gij hebt het mij bekend gemaakt, zodat ik het weet, Gij hebt mij hun toeleg doen zien;
And Yahweh he made known to me and I knew! then you showed me deeds their.
19 Ik zelf was als een argeloos lam, Dat naar de slachtbank wordt geleid. Ik wist niet eens, dat zij aanslagen tegen mij smeedden: Komt, laten we de boom in zijn volle kracht vellen, Hem uit het land der levenden rukken, Zodat zijn naam niet meer wordt genoemd.
And I [had been] like a lamb a tame one [which] it is led to slaughter and not I knew that on me - they had planned plans let us destroy [the] tree with bread its and let us cut off him from [the] land of [the] living and name his not may it be remembered again.
20 Jahweh der heirscharen, rechtvaardige Rechter, Die harten en nieren doorgrondt: Laat mij zien, hoe Gij wraak op hen neemt, Want U vertrouw ik mijn recht toe.
And O Yahweh of hosts [who] judges righteousness [who] tests kidneys and heart let me see vengeance your from them for to you I have made known case my.
21 Daarom spreekt Jahweh van de mannen van Anatot, Die mijn leven belagen, en zeggen: Niet langer zult ge in Jahweh’s Naam profeteren, Zo ge door onze hand niet wilt sterven.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh on [the] people of Anathoth who are seeking life your saying not you must prophesy in [the] name of Yahweh and not you will die by hand our.
22 Waarachtig, zo spreekt Jahweh der heirscharen: Zie, Ik kom op hen af; Hun jongemannen zullen sterven door het zwaard, Hun zonen en dochters van honger.
Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to visit [judgment] on them the young men they will die by the sword sons their and daughters their they will die by famine.
23 Niets blijft van hen over, Wanneer Ik rampen ga brengen Over Anatots mannen In hun jaar van vergelding!
And a remnant not it will belong to them for I will bring calamity to [the] people of Anathoth [the] year of punishment their.
