Ezra 2
1 Dit zijn de bewoners der provincie, die weggetrokken zijn uit de ballingschap in Babel, waarheen Nabukodonosor, de koning van Babel, hen had weggevoerd, en die zijn teruggekeerd naar Jerusalem in Juda, iedereen naar zijn eigen stad.
These also are the sonnes of the prouince, that went vp out of the captiuitie (whome Nebuchadnezzar King of Babel had caried away vnto Babel) and returned to Ierusalem, and to Iudah, euery one vnto his citie,
2 Het zijn degenen, die teruggekomen zijn met Zorobabel, Jesjóea, Nehemias, Seraja, Reëlaja, Mordekai, Bilsjan, Mispar, Bigwai, Rechoem en Baäna. Het aantal mannen uit het volk van Israël was als volgt:
Which came with Zerubbabel, to wit, Ieshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Biguai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel was,
3 de zonen van Parosj telden een en twintighonderd twee en zeventig man;
The sonnes of Parosh, two thousand, an hudreth seuentie and two:
4 de zonen van Sjefatja, driehonderd twee en zeventig;
The sonnes of Shephatiah, three hundreth, seuentie and two:
5 de zonen van Arach, zevenhonderd vijf en zeventig;
The sonnes of Arah, seuen hundreth, and seuentie and fiue:
6 de zonen van Páchat-Moab, de zonen namelijk van Jesjóea en Joab, acht en twintighonderd en twaalf;
The sonnes of Pahath Moab, of the sonnes of Ieshua and Ioab, two thousand, eight hundreth and twelue:
7 de zonen van Elam, twaalfhonderd vier en vijftig;
The sonnes of Elam, a thousande, two hundreth and foure and fiftie:
8 de zonen van Zattoe, negenhonderd vijf en veertig;
The sonnes of Zattu, nine hundreth and fiue and fourtie:
9 de zonen van Zakkai, zevenhonderd zestig;

10 de zonen van Bani, zeshonderd twee en veertig;

12 de zonen van Azgad, twaalfhonderd twee en twintig;

13 de zonen van Adonikam, zeshonderd zes en zestig;
The sonnes of Adonikam, sixe hundreth, three score and sixe:
14 de zonen van Bigwai, tweeduizend zes en vijftig;
The sonnes of Biguai, two thousand, and sixe and fiftie:
15 de zonen van Adin, vierhonderd vier en vijftig;
The sonnes of Adin, foure hundreth and foure and fiftie:
16 de zonen van Ater, uit de familie van Chizki-ja, acht en negentig;
The sonnes of Ater of Hizkiah, ninetie and eight:
17 de zonen van Besai, driehonderd drie en twintig;
The sonnes of Bezai, three hundreth and three and twentie:
18 de zonen van Jora, honderd en twaalf;
The sonnes of Iorah, an hudreth and twelue:
19 de zonen van Chasjoem, tweehonderd drie en twintig;
The sonnes of Hasshum, two hundreth and three and twentie:
20 de zonen van Gibbar, vijf en negentig;
The sonnes of Gibbar, ninetie and fiue:
21 de burgers van Betlehem, honderd drie en twintig;

22 de burgers van Netofa, zes en vijftig;
The men of Netophah, sixe and fiftie:
23 de burgers van Anatot, honderd acht en twintig;
The men of Anothoth, an hundreth and eight and twentie:
24 de burgers van Azmáwet, twee en veertig;
The sonnes of Azmaueth, two and fourtie:
25 de burgers van Kirjat-Jearim, Kefira en Beërot, zevenhonderd drie en veertig;
The sonnes of Kiriath-arim, of Chephirah, and Beeroth, seuen hundreth and three and fourtie:
26 de burgers van Rama en Géba, zeshonderd een en twintig;
The sonnes of Haramah and Gaba, six hundreth, and one and twentie:
27 de burgers van Mikmas, honderd twee en twintig;
The men of Michmas, an hundreth and two and twentie:
28 de burgers van Betel en Ai, tweehonderd drie en twintig;
The sonnes of Beth-el and Ai, two hundreth, and three and twentie:
29 de burgers van Nebo, twee en vijftig;
The sonnes of Nebo, two and fiftie:
30 de zonen van Magbisj, honderd zes en vijftig;
The sonnes of Magbish, an hundreth and sixe and fiftie:
31 de zonen van den anderen Elam, twaalfhonderd vier en vijftig;
The sonnes of the other Elam, a thousand, and two hundreth, and foure and fiftie:
32 de zonen van Charim, driehonderd en twintig;
The sonnes of Harim, three hundreth and twentie:
33 de burgers van Lod, Chadid en Ono, zevenhonderd vijf en twintig;
The sonnes of Lod-hadid, and Ono, seuen hundreth, and fiue and twentie:
34 de burgers van Jericho, driehonderd vijf en veertig;
The sonnes of Iericho, three hundreth and fiue and fourtie:
35 de zonen van Senaä, zes en dertighonderd dertig.
The sonnes of Senaah, three thousand, sixe hundreth and thirtie.
36 De priesters: de zonen van Jedaja, uit het geslacht van Jesjóea telden negenhonderd drie en zeventig man;
The Priests: of the sonnes of Iedaiah of the house of Ieshua, nine hundreth seuentie and three:
37 de zonen van Immer, duizend twee en vijftig;
The sonnes of Immer, a thousand and two and fiftie:
38 de zonen van Pasjchoer, twaalfhonderd zeven en veertig;
The sonnes of Pashur, a thousand, two hundreth and seuen and fourtie:
39 de zonen van Charim, duizend zeventien.
The sonnes of Harim, a thousande and seuenteene.
40 De levieten: de zonen van Jesjóea, Kadmiël en Hodawja telden vier en zeventig man.
The Leuites: the sonnes of Ieshua, and Kadmiel of the sonnes of Hodauiah, seuentie and foure.
41 De zangers: de zonen van Asaf telden honderd acht en twintig man.
The Singers: the sonnes of Asaph, an hundreth and eight and twentie.
42 De poortwachters: de zonen van Sjalloem, de zonen van Ater, de zonen van Talmon, de zonen van Akkoeb, de zonen van Chatita en de zonen van Sjobai telden tezamen honderd negen en dertig man.
The sonnes of the porters: the sonnes of Shallum, the sonnes of Ater, the sonnes of Talmon, the sonnes of Akkub, the sonnes of Hatita, the sonnes of Shobai: all were an hundreth and nine and thirtie.
43 De tempelknechten waren: de zonen van Sicha; de zonen van Chasoefa; de zonen van Tabbaot;
The Nethinims: the sonnes of Ziha, the sonnes of Hasupha, the sonnes of Tabbaoth,
44 de zonen van Keros; de zonen van Siaha; de zonen van Padon;
The sonnes of Keros, the sonnes of Siaha, the sonnes of Padon,
45 de zonen van Lebana; de zonen van Chagaba; de zonen van Akkoeb;
The sonnes of Lebanah, the sonnes of Hagabah, the sonnes of Akkub,
46 de zonen van Chagab; de zonen van Sjamlai; de zonen van Chanan;
The sonnes of Hagab, the sonnes of Shamlai, the sonnes of Hanan,
47 de zonen van Giddel; de zonen van Gáchar; de zonen van Reaja;

48 de zonen van Resin; de zonen van Nekoda; de zonen van Gazzan;
The sonnes of Rezin, the sonnes of Nekoda, the sonnes of Gazzam,
49 de zonen van Oezza; de zonen van Paséach; de zonen van Besai;
The sonnes of Vzza, the sonnes of Paseah, the sonnes of Besai,
50 de zonen van Asna; de zonen van Meoenim; de zonen van Nefoesim;
The sonnes of Asnah, the sonnes of Meunim, the sonnes of Nephusim,
51 de zonen van Bakboek; de zonen van Chakoefa; de zonen van Charchoer;
The sonnes of Bakbuk, the sonnes of Hakupa, the sonnes of Harhur,
52 de zonen van Basloet; de zonen van Mechida; de zonen van Charsja;
The sonnes of Bazluth, the sonnes of Mehida, the sonnes of Harsha,
53 de zonen van Barkos; de zonen van Sisera; de zonen van Témach;
The sonnes of Barcos, the sonnes of Sisara, the sonnes of Thamah,
54 de zonen van Nesiach; de zonen van Chatifa.
The sonnes of Neziah, the sonnes of Hatipha,
55 De zonen van Salomons slaven waren: de zonen van Sotai; de zonen van Soféret; de zonen van Perida;
The sonnes of Salomons seruantes: the sonnes of Sotai, the sonnes of Sophereth, the sonnes of Peruda,
56 de zonen van Jaäla; de zonen van Darkon; de zonen van Giddel;
The sonnes of Iaalah, the sonnes of Darkon, the sonnes of Giddel,
57 de zonen van Sjefatja; de zonen van Chattil; de zonen van Pokéret-Hassebajim; de zonen van Ami.
The sonnes of Shephatiah, the sonnes of Hattil, the sonnes of Pochereth Hazzebaim, the sonnes of Ami.
58 De tempelknechten telden met de zonen van Salomons slaven tezamen driehonderd twee en negentig man.
All the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruants were three hundreth ninetie and two.
59 De volgende zijn wel mee opgetrokken uit Tel-Mélach, Tel-Charsja, Keroeb, Addon en Immer, maar ze konden hun familie- en stamboom niet overleggen als bewijs, dat zij tot Israël behoorden. Het waren:
And these went vp from Telmelah, and from Telharsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer, but they could not discerne their fathers house and their seede, whether they were of Israel.
60 de zonen van Delaja; de zonen van Tobi-ja; de zonen van Nekoda: zeshonderd twee en vijftig man.
The sonnes of Delaiah, the sonnes of Tobiah, the sonnes of Nekoda, six hundreth and two and fiftie.
61 Uit de priesterzonen: de zonen van Chabaja; de zonen van Hakkos; de zonen van Barzillai, die getrouwd was met een der dochters van Barzillai uit Gilad, en naar hem werd genoemd.
And of the sonnes of the Priestes, the sonnes of Habaiah, the sonnes of Coz, the sonnes of Barzillai: which tooke of the daughters of Barzillai the Giliadite to wife, and was called after their name.
62 Daar zij, hoe ze ook zochten, hun geslachtsregister niet konden vinden, werden zij van de priesterlijke bediening uitgesloten,
These sought their writing of the genealogies, but they were not founde: therefore were they put from the Priesthood.
63 en verbood hun de landvoogd, van de heilige spijzen te eten, totdat er een priester met de Oerim en Toemmim zou optreden.
And Tirshatha saide vnto them, that they should not eate of the most holy thing, tell there rose vp a Priest with Vrim and Thummim.
64 De hele gemeente bestond uit twee enveertigduizend driehonderd zestig personen.
The whole Congregation together was two and fourtie thousande, three hundreth and threescore,
65 Hierbij kwamen nog zevenduizend driehonderd zeven en dertig slaven en slavinnen, en tweehonderd zangers en zangeressen.
Beside their seruants and their maydes: of whome were seuen thousande, three hundreth and seuen and thirtie: and among them were two hundreth singing men and singing women.
66 Men bezat zevenhonderd zes en dertig paarden, tweehonderd vijf en veertig muilezels,
Their horses were seuen hundreth, and sixe and thirtie: their mules, two hundreth and fiue and fourtie:
67 vierhonderd vijf en dertig kamelen en zesduizend zevenhonderd twintig ezels.
Their camels foure hundreth, and fiue and thirtie: their asses, sixe thousand, seuen hundreth and twentie.
68 Toen men bij de tempel van Jahweh te Jerusalem was aangekomen, brachten sommige familiehoofden vrijwillige schenkingen voor de tempel van God, om hem op zijn plaats te doen herrijzen.
And certeine of the chiefe fathers, when they came to the house of the Lord, which was in Ierusalem, they offred willingly for the house of God, to set it vp vpon his fundation.
69 Ook droeg men naar vermogen bij aan het fonds, dat voor de eredienst was bestemd: voor een en zestigduizend drachmen7 aan goud, voor vijfduizend mina aan zilver, en honderd priestergewaden.
They gaue after their abilitie vnto the treasure of the worke, euen one and threescore thousand drammes of golde, and fiue thousand pieces of siluer, and an hundreth Priests garments.
70 Daarna gingen de priesters, de levieten met een deel van het volk, de zangers, de poortwachters en de tempelknechten zich te Jerusalem vestigen, en de rest van Israël in hun steden.
So the Priests and the Leuites, and a certeine of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
