Deuteronomium 30
1 Maar wanneer al deze woorden met zegen en vloek, die ik u heb voorgehouden, over u zijn gekomen, en gij ze te midden der volken, waarheen Jahweh, uw God, u zal hebben verdreven, ter harte zult nemen,
And it will be that they will come on you all the things these the blessing and the curse which I have set before you and you will bring [them] back to heart your in all the nations where he has banished you Yahweh God your there towards.
2 wanneer gij u dan bekeert tot Jahweh, uw God, en gij met uw kinderen van ganser harte en met heel uw ziel Hem gehoorzaamt in alles, wat ik u heden gebood,
And you will turn back to Yahweh God your and you will listen to voice his according to all that I [am] commanding you this day you and children your with all heart your and with all being your.
3 dan zal Jahweh, uw God, uw lot ten beste keren, zich uwer ontfermen, en u weer bijeen brengen uit alle volken, waarheen Jahweh, uw God, u verstrooide.
And he will turn back Yahweh God your captivity your and he will have compassion on you and he will return and he will gather you from all the peoples where he has scattered you Yahweh God your there towards.
4 En al waart ge verbannen naar het eind van de hemel, Jahweh, uw God, brengt u vandaar bijeen en haalt u vandaar terug.
If he will be banished [one] your at [the] end of the heavens from there he will gather you Yahweh God your and from there he will bring you.
5 Jahweh, uw God, zal u terugbrengen naar het land, dat uw vaderen hebben bezeten; gij zult het bezitten en Hij zal u nog meer weldaden bewijzen en nog talrijker maken dan uw vaderen.
And he will bring you Yahweh God your to the land which they took possession of ancestors your and you will take possession of it and he will do good to you and he will make great you more than ancestors your.
6 Dan zal Jahweh, uw God, uw hart en dat van uw kroost besnijden, om Jahweh, uw God, met heel uw hart en heel uw ziel te beminnen, opdat gij weer opleeft.
And he will circumcise Yahweh God your heart your and [the] heart of offspring your to love Yahweh God your with all heart your and with all being your for [the] sake of life your.
7 Dan zal Jahweh, uw God, al deze vervloekingen over uw vijanden brengen, over hen, die u haten en u hebben vervolgd;
And he will put Yahweh God your all the oaths these on enemies your and on [those who] hate you who they have persecuted you.
8 dan zult gij weer naar Jahweh luisteren, en al zijn geboden, die ik u heden geef, onderhouden.
And you you will turn and you will listen to [the] voice of Yahweh and you will do all commandments his which I [am] commanding you this day.
9 Dan zal Jahweh, uw God, u overvloed schenken in al het werk uwer handen, in de vrucht van uw schoot, de vrucht van uw runderen, en de vrucht van uw grond. Want Jahweh zal er weer vreugde in vinden, u goed te doen, zoals Hij er vreugde in vond, goed te doen aan uw vaderen,
And he will make abound you Yahweh God your in all - [the] work of hand your in [the] fruit of womb your and in [the] fruit of livestock your and in [the] fruit of ground your to good for - he will turn Yahweh to rejoice on you for good just as he rejoiced on ancestors your.
10 omdat gij luistert naar Jahweh, uw God, zijn geboden en bepalingen onderhoudt, die in dit wetboek staan opgetekend, en met heel uw hart en met heel uw ziel u bekeert tot Jahweh, uw God.
If you will listen to [the] voice of Yahweh God your to keep commandments his and statutes his that is written in [the] book of the law this if you will return to Yahweh God your with all heart your and with all being your.
11 Waarachtig, de geboden, die ik u heden geef, zijn voor u niet te hoog of buiten uw bereik.
For the commandment this which I [am] commanding you this day not [is too] difficult it for you and not [is] far away it.
12 Zij liggen niet in de hemel, zodat gij kunt zeggen: "Wie stijgt voor ons op naar de hemel, om ze voor ons te gaan halen en ons te verkonden, opdat wij ze kunnen volbrengen?"
Not [is] in the heavens it to say who? will he go up for us the heavens towards so he may fetch it for us so he may make hear us it so we may do it.
13 Ze liggen niet aan de overkant van de zee, zodat gij kunt zeggen: "Wie steekt voor ons over naar de andere kant van de zee, om ze voor ons te gaan halen en ze ons te verkonden, opdat wij ze kunnen volbrengen?"
And not [is] from [the] other side of the sea it to say who? will he pass over for us to [the] other side of the sea so he may fetch it for us so he may make hear us it so we may do it.
14 Neen, het woord is voor u heel dichtbij; het ligt in uw mond en uw hart, zodat gij het ook kunt volbrengen.
For [is] near to you the word very in mouth your and in heart your to do it.
15 Zie, ik heb u heden leven en geluk, dood en ongeluk voorgehouden.
See I set before you this day life and good and death and evil.
16 Zo gij luistert naar de geboden van Jahweh, uw God, die ik u heden geef, zo gij Jahweh, uw God, bemint, zijn wegen bewandelt en zijn geboden, bepalingen en voorschriften onderhoudt, dan zult gij leven, en talrijk worden, en zal Jahweh, uw God, u zegenen in het land, dat gij thans in bezit gaat nemen.
(If you will listen to [the] commandments of Yahweh God your *X*) which I [am] commanding you this day to love Yahweh God your to walk in ways his and to keep commandments his and statutes his and judgments his and you will live and you will increase and he will bless you Yahweh God your in the land where you [are] about to go there towards to take possession of it.
17 Zo gij echter uw hart afwendt en niet wilt luisteren, zo gij u laat verleiden, om vreemde goden te aanbidden en te dienen,
And if it will turn away heart your and not you will listen and you will be drawn aside and you will bow down to gods other and you will serve them.
18 dan kondig ik u heden aan, dat gij geheel te gronde zult gaan, en gij niet lang zult blijven in het land, dat gij aan de overkant van de Jordaan in bezit gaat nemen.
I tell to you this day that certainly you will perish! not you will prolong! days on the land where you [are] about to pass over the Jordan to go there towards to take possession of it.
19 Ik roep heden plechtig hemel en aarde tegen u tot getuigen, dat ik u leven en dood, zegen en vloek heb voorgehouden! Kies dus het leven, opdat gij en uw kroost het leven moogt hebben,
I call as witnesses against you this day the heavens and the earth life and death I have set before you blessing and curse and you will choose life so that you may live you and offspring your.
20 door Jahweh, uw God, te beminnen, Hem te gehoorzamen, aan Hem u te hechten. Want daarvan hangt uw leven af en uw lang verblijf in het land, dat Jahweh onder ede beloofd heeft, aan uw vaderen, aan Abraham, Isaäk en Jakob te geven.
By loving Yahweh God your by listening to voice his and by cleaving to him for he [is] life your and [the] length of days your to dwell on the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob to give to them.
