< Mateyo 19 >

1 Kwakaba kuti Jesu amane majwi ay, wakazwa ku Galili waya kuchisi cha Judiya mutala amulonga wa Jodani.
When Jesus had finished saying these things, he departed from Galilee and came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 Makamu makamu akamutobela, mpawo wakabaponia nkukoko.
Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Ba Falisi bakaza kuli nguwe, bamusunka, baamba kuli nguwe, “chili mumulawu kuti mwalumi aleke mwanakazi wakwe, katakwe kaambo.
Then the Pharisees came up to Jesus and tested him by asking him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
4 Jesu wakasandula akwaamba, “sa temwakabala kuti oyo wakabalenga kuzwa kumatalikilo wakabalenga baalumi a abanakazi?”
He answered them, “Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning ‘made them male and female,’
5 Alubo oyo iwakabelnga wakati, 'Nkambo kaako Mwalumi uyosiiya wisi abanyina akukakatila kumwanakazi wakwe, aba bobile babe nyama imwi.
and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
6 Lino tabachili babili, pesi nyama imwi. Nkinkaako echo Leza nchakaswaniizya, kutabi muntu uchipambukanya.”
So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
7 Bakati kulinguwe, “Nkaambonzi elyo Mozesi wakatulayilila kuti apegwe lugwalo lwakulekana mpawo amuleke?”
They said to him, “Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away?”
8 Wakati kuli mbabo, “Nkaambo kabuyumu bwamyooyo yenu, Mozesi wakamuzumizya kuleka banakazi benu, pesi kumatalikilo tekwakali munzila eyo pe.
He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
9 Ndamwambila, kufumbwa uleka mwanakazi wakwe, kunze kwamakani abuvule, akuyo kwata uumbi, wachita bumambi; amwalumi ukwata mwanakazi wakalekwa wachita bumambi.”
I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, and marries another, commits adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”
10 Basikwiiya bakati kuli Jesu, “Na kuti ntwaambo twamwalumi amwanakazi wakwe, tachili chibotu kukwata.”
His disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 Pesi Jesu wakati kuli mbabo, “Teensi bonse batambula kaambo aka, pesi kuli baabo luzutu bapedwe.
But Jesus said to them, “Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it is given.
12 Nkambo nkubali bazibe bakachitwa bazibe abantu, alimwi mpubali bazibe bakalichita bazibe lwabo beni nkambo ka Bwami bwakujulu kuli ooyo ukonzya kutambula injiisyo eyi, muleke ayitambule.”
For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever is able to accept this should accept it.”
13 Lino bana baniini bakaletwa kuli nguwenkuti abaampe amaboko akukomba, pesi basikwiiya bakwe bakabakasya babakalalila.
Then little children were brought to Jesus so that he might lay his hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 Pesi Jesu wakaamba wati, “Amuzumizye bana banini, mutabakasyi kuti baze kuli ndime, nkambo Bwami bwakujulu mbubwabo bali boobu.”
Yet Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
15 Wakabika maboko aakwe alimbabo mpawo wakabasiya.
And after laying his hands on them, he departed from there.
16 Amubona, mwalumi wakaza kuli Jesu akwamba kuti, “Muyiisi, nchichili chintu chibotu nchindinga ndilachita kuti ndibe abuumi ibutamani?” (aiōnios g166)
And behold, a man came and said to him, “Good Teacher, what good thing must I do to have eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
17 Jesu wakati kuli nguwe, Nkamboonzi niwandibuzya atala chitegwa nchibotu? Kunze kwachintu chimwi, pesi na koyanda kunjila mubuumi, baamba milayizyo.”
Jesus said to him, “Why do yoʋ call me good? No one is good except God alone. But if yoʋ wish to enter life, keep the commandments.”
18 Oyu mwalumi wakati kuli nguwe, milayizyo nzi?” Utajayi, utachiti bumambi, utabbi, utapi bukamboni bwakubeja,
The man said to him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “Yoʋ shall not murder, Yoʋ shall not commit adultery, Yoʋ shall not steal, Yoʋ shall not give false testimony,
19 lemeka wuuso abanyoko akuyanda ngoyakilene anguwe mbuli lwako omwini.”
Honor yoʋr father and yoʋr mother, and, Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.”
20 Mwalumi mukubusi wakati kuli nguwe, “Zyoonse ezi zintu ndakazilemeka. Ndichiyanaanzi?”
The young man said to him, “I have kept all these commandments from the time I was a young boy; what do I still lack?”
21 Jesu wakamwambila wati, “Na koyanda kuti ulondoke, koya, ukawuzye lubono lwako, akuyopa bachete, mpawo uyooba abuvubi kujulu, lino uboole, unditobele.”
Jesus said to him, “If yoʋ wish to be perfect, go sell what yoʋ have and give to the poor, and yoʋ will have treasure in heaven; then come follow me.”
22 Pesi eelyo mwalumi mukubusi nakamvwa Jesu nzyakaamba, wakayinka kawuside, nkambo wakalijisi imbono nyiingi.
But when the young man heard this, he went away sorrowful, for he had many possessions.
23 Jesu wakaambila basikwiiya bakwe, “Kasimpe ndamwambila, nchiyumu kumuvubi kuti akanjile kubwami bwakujulu.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 Alimwi ndamwambila kuti, nkutete kunkamela kunjila muliso lyaneleti kwinda kuti muvubi anjile mubwami bwa Leza.”
Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 Lino basikwiiya nibakamvwa oobo, bakagambilwa loko, akwaamba kuti, “Ino ngwani ukoonzya kuyofutulwa?”
When his disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and said, “Who then can be saved?”
26 Jesu wakabalanga akwaamba kuti, 'kubantu tachikonzeki, pesi kuli Leza zintu zyoonse zilakonzeka.”
Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Mpawo Pita wakavwiila akwamba kuti “Langa, twasiya zintu zyesu zyoonse twatobela nduwe. Ani mpawo tukajanenzi?”
Then Peter said to him in response, “Behold, we have left everything and followed yoʋ; what then will there be for us?”
28 Jesu wakati kuli mbabo, “Ndamwambila kasimpe kuti, muchiindi chiza Mwana a Muntu nayokkala achuno chakwe chabulemu, inywe nimwakanditobela muzokkala azyuno zilikkumi azibili, mukabeteke misyobo ili kkumi ayibili ya Izilayeli.
Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, when all things are made new and the Son of Man sits on his throne of glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Woonse oyo iwakasiide maanda, babunyiina, bachizi, wisi, banyina niiba myuunda nkambo kazina lyangu uyotambula tuli mbuli mwanda umwi akukona buumi ibutamani. (aiōnios g166)
And everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife, children, or fields for my name's sake, will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
30 Pesi bataanzi baanji bayoba bakumamanino, abakumamanino bayoba batanzi.
But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
