1 Lino lusyomo nkuba akasimpe kazintu zilangilidwe alimwi abwini bwazintu zitaboneko.
Now faith is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see.
2 Aboobo nkaambo kacheechi basikale bakatambulika nkaambo kalusyomo lwabo.
For by this, the people of old were attested.
3 Kwiinda mulusyomo tumvwisisya kuti nyika yakalengwa akulayilila kwaLez, kutondezya kuti iziboneka tezyakalengwa kuzwa kuzintu zyakali kuboneka. (aiōn g165)
By faith, we understand that the ages were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible. (aiōn g165)
4 Nkaambo kalusyomo Abbelu wakapa Leza chipayizyo chibotu kwiinda cha Keyini, nkakasunkwa aacho kukuba mululami alimwi Leza wakambula kabotu aatala anguwe nkaambo kazipayizyo zyakwe, alimwi kwiinda mulusyomo Abbelu uchambuula nikuba kuti ulifwide.
By faith, Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he was attested as righteous, God testifying with respect to his gifts; and though he died he still speaks through it.
5 Nkaambo kalusyomo Inoki wakatolwa biyo kujulu katabwene lufu. “Taakajanika nkaambo Leza wakamubweza.” Awo katana tolw, kwakaba bukmaboni bwakuti wakali wabotezya Leza.

Now without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
7 Ndusyomo lwakachita kuti Nowa, nakali wapegwa mulumbe wakujulu aatala azintu zikatalina boneka mukuba abulemu buli abunaLeza wakayaka bwaato ktui afutule mpuli yakwe. Mukuchita oobu wakiipa mulandu nyika eelyo wakaba simulyazina wabululami buza alusyomo.
By faith, Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared a box-shaped ship for the salvation of his household, through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
8 Ndusyomo lwakachita kuti Abbulamu, nakiitwa wakateelela wiinka kubusena, oobo mbwakelede kutambula mbuuli lukono. Wakazwa wiinka, katanzi nkwaali kuya.
By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going.
9 Ndusyomo lwakachita kuti akale munyika yechisyomezyo mbuli muzwa kule. Wakakala mumatente antoomwe aAyizeki aJekkobbu, basimulyazinanyina kuchisyomezyo chomwe biyo.
By faith, he sojourned in a land of promise, as a foreigner, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.
10 Nkaambo wakali kulangilila kugunzi lilaantalisyo mubambi amuyaki wazyo kali nguLeza.
For he looked for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
11 Mulusyomo - alimwi Sala lwakwe wakali ngomwa wakatambula kukonzya kumita mwana mubuchembele bwakwe, mukubona kasyomekede oyo wakapa chisyomezyo. Kulimubuzyo wakutii lwakali lusyomo lwaAbbulahamu na kana lwaSala lwakali kuboneka awa. Mulusyomo Sala, nikuba kuti wakali wachembala, wakatambula nguzu zyakuzyala mwana, nkaambo wakabona kasyomekede oyo wakapa chisyomezyo.
By faith, even barren Sarah herself received power to conceive when she was past age, and gave birth, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
12 Aboobo kuzwa kumwalumi oyu omwe alimwiwakali wamba kufwa - kwakazyalwa bana bingi mbuuli nyenyeezi zya julu alimwi batabaliki mbuuli luseese lwakumbali alwizi.

14 Kuli aabo baamba zintu ziliboobu babika antaanganana kuti bayandula nyika yakukala.
For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.
15 Nikwali kuti bakali kuyeeya nyika njibakazwa kulinjiyo bali kunoowujana mweenya wakubweeda.
If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.
16 Pesi mbuuli mbuzibede bayndula nyika mbotu kwiinda, nkokuti, yakujulu. Aboobo Leza takwe nsoni akwambwa kuti nguLeza wabo, mbuli kuti wakaba bambila muunzi.
Instead, they were longing for a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
17 Nguwakali mwana wakwe omwe biyo ngwakapedekezy, ooyo wakatambula zisyomezyo.
By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac; and he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son;
18 Ezi zyakambilwa Abbulahamu, “mazyalane aako ayowuzikwa kwindila muli Ayizeki”
even he to whom it was said, "In Isaac will your descendants be called;"
19 Abbulahamu wakayeeya kuti Leza wakalikukonzya kumubusya Ayizeki kuzwa kubafu, alimwi kwaambisya mumaboneno aakwe wakamutambulalubo kuzwa kulimbabo.
concluding that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Figuratively speaking, he also did receive him back from the dead.
20 Ayizeki wakalongezya Jekkobbu aIsawu kwindilila mulusyomo aatala azintu zyakachiyobuza.
By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even concerning things to come.
21 Kwindila mulusyomo Jakkobbu naakaba afwiifwi akufwa wakalongezya banabaJOzefu balombe umwi awumwi. Jekkobbu wakakomba, kakoteme aamufunko wakwe.
By faith, Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and bowed over the top of his staff.
22 Kwindila mulusyomo Jozef, mamanino aakwe naakab aafwifwi, wakambuula atala akulonga kwabana ba - Isilayeli kuzwa ku - Igipite alimwi wakabalayilila aatala amafuwa akwe.

By faith, Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
24 Kwakkali kwiindila mulusyomo kuti Mozesi, naakakomena wakakkaka kwambwa kuti mwana waFalo.
By faith, Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter,
25 Wakasala kupenzegwa antoomwe abantu baLeza kwiinda kulibotzya abunone bwachibi chindi chinini.
choosing rather to share ill treatment with God's people, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time;
26 Wakayeya kuti kusampulwa kwakutobela Kkilisito bwakali buvubi bupati kwiinda buvubi bwaIgipita. Nkaambo menso aakwe wakaabikide kubulumbu bwakwe.
considering the abuse suffered for the Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
27 Mulusyomo Mozesi wakazwa Igipita. Takwe nakayoowa bukkali bwaMwaam. Takwe nakayowa bukkali bwaMwaam, nkaambo wakakalatila aanga wakali mubwene ooyo uutabonwi.
By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

And what more should I say? For the time would fail me if I told of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets;
33 Kwakali kwindila mulusyomo kuti bakazunda zisi, bendelezya, bululami, alimwi bakatambula zisyomezyo. Bakajala milomo yabalavu,
who, through faith subdued kingdoms, worked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 akuzima nguzu zyamililo, bakaloboka kuyaswa asumu, bakaponesegwa kumalwazi bakaba basinguzu munkondo, akuzunda basilumamba bamazwa kule.
quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, grew mighty in war, and caused foreign armies to flee.

39 Nikuba kuti boonse bantu aaba bakalitambwidwe aLeza nkaambo kalusyomo lwabo, taakwe nibakachitambula chisyomezyo.
These all, having had testimony given to them through their faith, did not receive the promise,
40 Leza wakatubambila chimwi chintu chibotu kwiinda, kuchitila kuti kuboneke aanoli tetwaliwo tebali kunoomaninizigwa pe.
God having provided some better thing concerning us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
