Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, to the assembly of Thessalonians in God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Luzyalo kulindinywe aluumuno luzwa kuliLeza Taatesu aMwami Jesu Kkilisito.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

3 Twelede kupa kulumba lyoonse kuliLeza nkambo kenu, nobakwesu, mbuli mbukwelede, nkaambo lusyomo lwanu lulikukkomena bwindilide abwindilide, alimwi aluyando nwebo ndumulalo kuli umwi awumwi lulikuyungizigwa.

We always ought to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as it is fitting, because your faith increases greatly, and the love of each one of you all abounds to one another,

4 Elyo iswe lwesu tulalidundilizya atala andinywe mumbungano yaLeza nkambo lukakatila alusyomo muliwonse masukusyo aanu, amumapenzi aayo ngimuswanana awo.

so that we ourselves glory in you in the assemblies of God, for your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you bear—

5 Eechi nchitondezyo chalubeta lwaLeza lusalala, kuchitila kuti mukeele loko kubwami bwaLeza mbumulikupenzegwa biyo.

a token of the righteous judgment of God, for your being counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer,

6 Nkambokako, chililuleme kuliLeza kubwedezya mapenzi kuli baabo bamupenzya,

since [it is] a righteous thing with God to give back to those troubling you—tribulation,

7 akubwedezegwa kulindinywe aabo bapenzegwa andiswe, elyo mwami Jesu nayolibonya kuzwa kujulu abangelo bakwe basinguzu.

and to you who are troubled—rest with us in the revelation of the Lord Jesus from Heaven, with messengers of His power,

8 Mubbalabala lyamulilo, uyobwedezya zibi kulibabo batamwizi Leza akuli babo batalemeki kujwi lyamwami wesu Jesu.

in flaming fire, giving vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ,

9 Bayopengana achisubulo chalunyonyoko lutamanikuzwa kunembo lyaMwami akuzwa kubulemu bwanguzuzyakwe. (aiōnios g166)

who will suffer justice—continuous destruction—from the face of the LORD, and from the glory of His strength, (aiōnios g166)

10 Uyochita eezi nayoboola mubuzuba obo kuti akalumbayizigwe mubantu bakwe basalala akulumbayizigwa abantu boonse abo bamusyoma, nkaambo bukamboni bwesu kulindinwe bakasyoma.

when He may come to be glorified in His holy ones, and to be wondered at by all those believing—because our testimony was believed among you—in that day;

11 Nkaambo kazezi tulamukombela chakutaleka, nkokuti Leza wesu akalangisisye lokokubwitwe bwenu, anguzu zyakwe uyozuzikizya wonse makanze mabotu ayoonse milimu yalusyomo.

for which we also always pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling, and may fulfill all the good pleasure of goodness, and the work of faith in power,

12 Tukomba boobu kuchitila kuti zina lyamwami Jesu lilumbayizigwe mulindinywe andinywe mulinguwe, kwiinda muluzyalo lwa Leza a Mwami Jesu Kkilisito.

that the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
