Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go, return each of you to her mother's house. May the LORD deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead, and with me.

would you then wait until they were grown? Would you then refrain from having husbands? No, my daughters, for it grieves me much for your sakes, for the hand of the LORD has gone out against me."
14 Kane giwinjo ma, ne giywak kendo. Eka Orpa nogone wuon odgi oriti, to Ruth to notwere kode.
They lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law and returned to her people, but Ruth clung to her.

She said to them, "Do not call me Naomi. Call me Marah; for Shaddai has dealt very bitterly with me.
21 Ne adhi ka an-gi gik moko duto, to Jehova Nyasaye oseduoga ka an-gi lweta nono. Uluonga ni Naomi nangʼo? Jehova Nyasaye Maratego osechwada kendo osekuma malit.”
I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and Shaddai has afflicted me?"

So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, with her, who returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.
