< Jo-Rumi 6 >
1 En angʼo makoro wanyalo wacho? Dwadhi nyime ka watimo richo mondo eka ngʼwono omedre?
What should we say then? Should we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 Gima kamano kik timre! Kaka wan joma ne osetho kuom richo; ere kaka wanyalo dhi nyime kwadak e richo?
Absolutely not. We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
3 Koso donge ungʼeyo ni wan duto mane obatiswa kuom Kristo Yesu, nobatiswa e thone?
Or do you not know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4 Omiyo noyikwa kode e tho kuom batiso, mondo kaka Kristo nochier oa kuom joma otho kuom duongʼ mar Wuoro, e kaka wan bende onego wadagi e ngima manyien.
We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
5 Koseriw-wa kode kamano e thone, to ochuno ni ibiro riwwa kode bende e chierne.
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
6 Nimar wangʼeyo ni ngimawa machon nogur kode mondo ringruok mar richo okethi, kendo kik koro wabed wasumbini mag richo,
knowing this, that our old self was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
7 nikech ngʼato angʼata mosetho osegony kuom richo.
For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Koro ka wasetho gi Kristo, wan gi yie ni wabiro bedo mangima kode bende.
But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;
9 Nimar wangʼeyo ni kaka Kristo nochier oa kuom joma otho, ok onyal tho kendo, nikech tho koro onge gi teko kuome.
knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him.
10 Tho ma nothogo notho ne richo dichiel kendo mogik; to ngima ma ongimago, ongima ne Nyasaye.
For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
11 E kaka un bende nyaka ukwanru ni utho ne richo, to ungima ne Nyasaye ei Kristo Yesu.
In the same way, consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Emomiyo koro kik uyie mondo richo obed gi loch e ringreu matho ka uchopo gombone maricho.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
13 Kik uchiw fuonde ringreu mondo obed gima itimogo richo, to chiwreuru ni Nyasaye kaka joma osegol e tho moter e ngima; kendo chiwneuru fuonde mag ringreu mondo obed gik mitimogo timbe makare.
Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14 Nimar richo koro ok nobed gi loch kuomu, nikech koro ok un e bwo chik, to un e bwo ngʼwono.
For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.
15 To koro wanyalo wacho angʼo? Dwasik mana ka watimo atima richo nikech wan e bwo ngʼwono, to ok e bwo Chik? Ooyo, gima kamano kik timre!
What then? Should we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? Absolutely not.
16 Donge ungʼeyo ni ka uchiworu ni ngʼato mondo uwinje kaka wasumbini to un wasumbini mag jal muwinjono, bed ni un wasumbini mag richo, makelo tho, kata mag winjo wach, makelo tim makare.
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17 To erokamano ni Nyasaye nikech kata obedo ni yande ne un wasumbini mag richo, to ne umako kit puonj mane omiu gi chunyu duto.
But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were entrusted.
18 Osewenu richou mi koro udoko wasumbini ni tim makare.
Being made free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
19 Aketo wachni e yo ma dhano nyalo winjo nikech uyomyom kaka dhano. Mana kaka yande chon ne uchiwo fuonde ringreu doko wasumb timbe mochido, kendo ne richo mosiko medore ameda, e kaka koro owinjore uchiw fuonde ringreu obed wasumbini mag timbe makare makelo ngima maler.
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as slaves to righteousness for sanctification.
20 Kane un wasumbini mag richo, ne un thuolo korka tim makare.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21 En ohala manade mane uyudo e kindeno kuom gik makoro miyou wichkuotgi? Giko mar gigo en tho!
What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
22 To ka koro osegonyu kuom richo mi ubedo wasumbini mag Nyasaye, ohala muyudo kelo ngima maler ma gikone en ngima mochwere. (aiōnios )
But now, being made free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit of sanctification, and the result of everlasting life. (aiōnios )
23 Nikech misach richo en tho, to mich mar Nyasaye en ngima mochwere kuom Kristo Yesu Ruodhwa. (aiōnios )
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōnios )
