< Jo-Rumi 10 >
1 Jowetena, gima chunya dwaro kendo alamoe Nyasaye ne jo-Israel, en ni mondo giyud warruok.
Brothers, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for my countrymen, that they may be saved.
For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, only it is a zeal without knowledge.
3 Nikech ne gikia ngima makare ma aa kuom Nyasaye, gisetemo keto margi giwegi, ka gidagi rwako yor Nyasaye moketogo ji kare.
For because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness, and sought to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit themselves to the righteousness of God.
For to every believer Christ is an end of law as a means of righteousness.
5 Musa lero kuom ngima makare maa kuom Chik kama: “Ngʼat moluwo chikegi nobed mangima kuomgi.”
For Moses writes concerning the righteousness of the Law, saying, The man that doeth it shall live by it.
6 To ngima makare maa kuom yie to wacho niya, “Kik iwach e chunyi ni, ‘Ere ngʼama didhinwa e polo malo?’” (tiende ni, mondo olor Kristo piny),
But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way. Say not in thine heart, "Who shall ascend to heaven?" - that is, to bring Christ down;
7 “kata ni, ‘En ngʼa mabiro lor ei bur?’” (tiende ni, mondo ogol Kristo oa kuom joma otho). (Abyssos )
Nor,"who shall descend into the abyss?" - that is, to bring Christ up from the dead. (Abyssos )
8 To owacho nangʼo? “Wach ni machiegni kodu, en mana e dhou kendo e chunyu,” mano e wach yie mwalando.
But what does it say? The word is near thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart. That is the very word of faith which we preach;
9 Ka ihulo gi dhogi ni “Yesu en Ruoth,” kendo iyie ei chunyi ni Nyasaye nochiere oa kuom joma otho, to iniyud warruok.
Confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God actually raised him from the dead, and you will be saved.
10 Nimar chunyi ema iyiego mi keti kare kendo dhogi ema ihulogo mi iyud warruok.
For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 Mana kaka Muma wacho niya, “Ngʼato angʼata moyie kuome ok none wichkuot.”
The Scriptures say, Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile, because the same Lord Jesus is all over, and is rich unto all who call upon Him;
for Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
14 To ere kaka digiluong ngʼat mapok giyie kuome? Koso digiyie nadi kuom Ngʼat mapok giwinjo kuome? To giniwinj kuome nadi kaonge ngʼama oyalonigi?
How then shall thy call upon Him in whom they do not believe? And how are they to believe in One of whom they have never heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 To ere kaka digiyal wach kuome ka ok oorgi? Mana kaka ondiki niya, “Mano kaka en gima ber neno tiend joote makelo wach maber!”
And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring a glad gospel.
16 To jo-Israel duto ok oserwako Injilini. Nimar Isaya nowacho niya, “Ruoth, en ngʼa moseyie wach mwalando?”
And yet they did not all hearken to the good news; for Isaiah said, Lord, who hath believed our message?
17 Kuom mano, yie aa kuom wach miwinjo, kendo wach miwinjono en wach Kristo.
So faith comes from a message heard, and the message comes from the teaching of Christ.
18 To apenjo kama: Donge gisewinjo wach? Chutho, gisewinjo, nikech, “Dwondgi osedhi kuonde duto e piny, wechegi osechopo nyaka e tunge piny.”
But I ask, Did they fail to hear? Yes, truly, Their sound has gone out unto all the earth, And their words unto the ends of the world.
Mokwongo, Musa wacho niya, “Anami nyiego maku gi joma ok owinjore kwan ka oganda; anami mirima maku gi oganda maonge winjo.”
But I say, Did Israel not know? First Moses says. I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation; Against a Gentile nation, void of understanding, will I anger you.
20 Isaya to wuoyo gi chir niya, “Ne oyuda gi joma ne ok omanya. Ne afwenyora ne joma ne ok openja.”
But Isaiah speaks very boldly, I was found of those who were not seeking me, I was made manifest to those who were not asking for me.
21 To kuom Israel to owacho niya, “Odiechiengʼ duto aserieyo bedena ne oganda ma ok winj wach kendo ma wigi tek.”
But to Israel he says, All day long I have been spreading out my hands unto a disobedient and contrary people.
