1 Ngʼat modak ei kar pondo mar Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo biro yudo yweyo e bwo tipo mar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego.
He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, In the shade of the Mighty lodgeth habitually,
2 Ngʼat ma kamano nyalo wacho kuom Jehova Nyasaye niya, “En e kar pondona kendo en e ohingana, en e Nyasacha ma ageno kuome.”
He is saying of Jehovah, 'My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,'
3 Jehova Nyasaye biro resi adier kuom gik mochikigo mondo ohinyi kendo kuom tuoche maricho maneko.
For He delivereth thee from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence.
4 Obiro umi gi bwombene, kendo ibiro yudo konyruok e bwo bwombene; adierane biro bedoni ka okumba kendo ka siro.
With His pinion He covereth thee over, And under His wings thou dost trust, A shield and buckler [is] His truth.
5 Ok iniluor masira mar otieno, kata asere machielore godiechiengʼ,
Thou art not afraid of fear by night, Of arrow that flieth by day,
6 kata tuoche maricho maliwo ji e mudho, kata tho matieko ngima ji e dier odiechiengʼ tir.
Of pestilence in thick darkness that walketh, Of destruction that destroyeth at noon,
7 Ji alufu achiel nyalo podho e bathi, ee, ji alufu apar nyalo riere e badi korachwich, to in onge moro ma nochop buti.
There fall at thy side a thousand, And a myriad at thy right hand, Unto thee it cometh not nigh.
8 Iningʼigi angʼiya gi wengeni kendo inine kikumo joma timbegi richo.
But with thine eyes thou lookest, And the reward of the wicked thou seest,
9 Ka iwacho niya, “Jehova Nyasaye e kar pondona,” kendo iketo Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo kar dakni,
(For Thou, O Jehovah, [art] my refuge, ) The Most High thou madest thy habitation.
10 to onge gimoro amora marach ma notimreni, kendo onge masira ma nosud machiegni gi odi.
Evil happeneth not unto thee, And a plague cometh not near thy tent,
11 Nimar obiro miyo malaika mage chik nikech in mondo giriti e yoreni duto;
For His messengers He chargeth for thee, To keep thee in all thy ways,
12 gibiro tingʼi malo e lwetgi, mondo kik ichwany tiendi e kidi.
On the hands they bear thee up, Lest thou smite against a stone thy foot.
13 Ininyon sibuor gi thuond fu; adier ininyon sibuor maratego gi thuol maduongʼ man-gi kwiri marach.
On lion and asp thou treadest, Thou trampest young lion and dragon.
14 Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya, “Abiro rese nikech ohera; abiro rite nikech ohulo nyinga.
Because in Me he hath delighted, I also deliver him — I set him on high, Because he hath known My name.
15 Enoluonga, kendo anadwoke; anabed kode e chandruok, adier, anakonye kendo anamiye duongʼ.
He doth call Me, and I answer him, I [am] with him in distress, I deliver him, and honour him.
16 Anami odag amingʼa kendo ananyise warruokna.”
With length of days I satisfy him, And I cause him to look on My salvation!
