< Zaburi 90 >
1 Lamo mar Musa ngʼat Nyasaye. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, isebedo kar dak marwa nyaka nene e tienge duto.
A Prayer by Moses, the Man of God. Lord! a dwelling-place, hast, thou, become to us, From generation to generation:
2 Kane pok gode obetie kata kane pok ichweyo piny gi ji modak e iye, to isebedo ka in Nyasaye nyaka nene kendo manyaka chiengʼ.
Before, the mountains, were born, Or thou hadst brought forth the earth and the world, Even, from age to age, thou, [wast] GOD.
3 Idwoko dhano e lowo, kiwacho niya, “Doguru e lowo un koth dhano.”
Thou causest man to return unto dust, And hast said—Return, ye sons of Adam!
4 Nimar higni alufu achiel e nyimi chalo gi odiechiengʼ manyoro mosekalo, kata gi sa mar otieno.
For, a thousand years, in thine eyes, [are], As yesterday, in that it passed away, Or [as] a watch in the night.
5 Iywoyo dhano ilalgo nono ka nindo mar tho terogi; gichalo gi lum mangʼich mar okinyi,
Thou hast snatched them away, A sleep, do they become, In the morning, [they are] like grass that shooteth up,
6 ma kata obedo ni loth ka ngʼich gokinyi to godhiambo to ner kendo two.
In the morning, it sprouteth and shooteth up, By the evening, it is cut down and withered.
7 Mirimbi tiekowa kendo kecho mikechogo kodwa bwogowa.
For we are consumed in thine anger, And, in thy wrath, are we dismayed;
8 Iseketo richowa e nyimi, ee, richowa ma watimo lingʼ-lingʼ ineno seche duto.
Thou hast set, Our iniquities before thee, Our secret near the luminary of thy face.
9 Ndalowa kadho piyo nikech mirimbi; hikwa rumo piyo gi chir.
For, all our days, decline in thy wrath, —We end our years like a sigh.
10 Ndalowa en piero abiriyo kata piero aboro, ka ringrewa otegno; to kata kamano ndalogo duto opongʼ gi chandruok kod kuyo, nimar gikalo piyo, kendo gilal nono.
The days of our years, have, in them, three score years and ten, And, if, by reason of strength, they have fourscore years, Yet, their boast, is labour and sorrow, For it hath passed quickly, and we have flown away.
11 En ngʼa mongʼeyo teko mar mirimbi? Nimar gero mari nigi teko machalo gi teko ma luori kelo.
Who knoweth the strength of thine anger? Even, according to the fear of thee, is thy wrath!
12 Omiyo puonjwa kwano ndalowa kare, mondo wabed gi chuny mariek.
How to number our days, so grant us to know, That we may win us a heart that hath wisdom.
13 Ibiro siko kikecho nyaka karangʼo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye? Lokri, kech jatichni.
Return, Yahweh, oh how long? And have compassion upon thy servants;
14 Romwa gokinyi gi herani ma ok rem, mondo wawer gi ilo kendo wabed mamor ndalowa duto.
Satisfy us, in the morning, with thy lovingkindness, That we may shout aloud and be glad, Throughout all our days.
15 Mi wabed mamor amingʼa mana kaka isemiyo waneno malit, marom gi higni ma wasenene chandruok.
Make us glad, according to, The days thou hast humbled us, The years we have seen misfortune:
16 Mad tijeni nere gi jotichni, mad duongʼni nyisre ne nyithindi.
Let thy work, appear unto thy servants, And, thy majesty, upon their children;
17 Mad ngʼwono mar Ruoth Nyasachwa obed kodwa; yie igurnwa tich mar lwetwa, ee gurnwa tich mar lwetwa.
And let the delightfulness of Adonay our God be upon us, —And, the work of our hands, establish thou upon us, Yea, the work of our hands, establish thou it.
