1 Maskil mar Ethan ja-Ezra. Abiro wer nyaka chiengʼ kuom (hera) maduongʼ mar Jehova Nyasaye; abiro nyiso ji gi dhoga mi gingʼe kuom adierani e tienge duto.
An Instructive Psalm, by Ethan the Ezrahite. The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, age-abidingly will I sing, To generation after generation, will I make known thy faithfulness with my mouth.
2 Abiro nyiso ratiro ni herani ogurore motegno nyaka chiengʼ; kendo ni ne iguro adierani e polo owuon.
For I said, To times age-abiding, shall lovingkindness be built up, As for the heavens, thou wilt establish thy faithfulness therein.
3 Ne iwacho niya, “Asetimo muma gi ngʼata ma ayiero, asesingora ne Daudi jatichna ni,
I have solemnised a covenant, for my chosen one, I have sworn unto David my servant:
4 ‘Anachung kothi nyaka chiengʼ kendo anagur lochni motegno e tienge duto.’” (Sela)
Unto times age-abiding, will I establish thy seed, And will build up, unto generation after generation, thy throne. (Selah)
5 Polo pako timbeni miwuoro kod adierani, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, e dier chokruok mar jomaler.
So shall the heavens praise thy wondrousness, O Yahweh, —Yea, thy faithfulness, in the convocation of holy ones.
6 Koso en ngʼa e kor polo minyalo pimo gi Jehova Nyasaye? En ngʼa e dier chwech mag polo machalo gi Jehova Nyasaye?
For whom, in the skies, can one compare unto Yahweh? [Or] can one liken unto Yahweh, among the sons of the mighty?
7 E buch jomaler Nyasaye oluor gi luor maduongʼ; olich moloyo chwech duto molwore.
A GOD inspiring awe in the circle of the holy ones, exceedingly, And to be reverenced above all who are round about him.
8 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye Maratego en ngʼa machalo kodi? In Jehova Nyasaye iratego kendo adierani olwori.
O Yahweh, God of hosts! Who, like thee, is mighty, O Yah! With thy faithfulness round about thee:
9 In giteko ewi nam magingore; ka apakane dhwolore malo, to ikweyogi.
Thou, rulest over the swelling of the sea, When the rolling waves thereof lift themselves, Thou, dost bid them be still:
10 Ne ingʼinyo Rahab mana ka kitundu, kendo ne ikeyo wasiki gi badi maratego.
Thou, hast crushed—as one slain—Rahab, With thy strong arm, hast thou scattered thy foes.
11 Polo gin magi, kendo piny bende en mari. In ema ne imiyo piny obetie kaachiel gi gik moko duto manie iye.
Thine, are the heavens, Yea, thine, the earth, The world and the fulness thereof, Thou, didst found them;
12 Ne ichweyo nyandwat gi milambo; Tabor gi Hermon pako nyingi gi wer gi mor.
The north and the south, Thou, didst create them, —Tabor and Hermon, with thy Name, shall shout for joy:
13 In-gi bat maratego, lweti bende otegno, kendo lweti ma korachwich nigi duongʼ.
Thine is an arm with might, Strong is thy hand, High is thy right hand;
14 Tim makare gi adiera e mise mag lochni; (hera) gi ber otelo e nyimi.
Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of thy throne, Lovingkindness and faithfulness, go before thy face.
15 Ogwedh joma osepuonjore goyoni sigio mar mor, jogo mawuotho buti e lerni, yaye Jehova Nyasaye.
How happy are the people who know the joyful sound! O Yahweh! in the light of thy countenance, shall they firmly march along;
16 Giil odiechiengʼ duto nikech nyingi; gidhialo timni makare.
In thy Name, shall they exult all the day, And, in thy righteousness, shall they be exalted.
17 Nimar in e duongʼgi gi tekogi, kendo isedhialo tungwa kuom ngʼwononi.
For, the beauty of their strength, thou art, And, in thine acceptance, shall our horns be exalted.
18 Adier, kuodi marwa en mar Jehova Nyasaye, ruodhwa en mar Jal Maler mar Israel.
For, to Yahweh, belongeth our Shield, And, to the Holy One of Israel, belongeth our King.
19 Kinde moko ne iwuoyo e yor fweny, mine iwacho ne jogi ma jo-adiera niya, “Asesidho teko kuom jalweny, asemiyo wuowi moro matin duongʼ e dier ji.
Then spakest thou in vision of thy men of lovingkindness, and saidst—I have laid help upon a mighty one, I have exalted one chosen from among the people;
20 Aseyudo Daudi jatichna; asewire gi moya maler.
I have found David my servant, With mine own holy oil, have I anointed him;
21 Lweta biro sire, adier, bada biro miye teko.
With whom my hand shall be firm, Yea, mine arm, shall strengthen him;
22 Onge ngʼama timbene richo moro amora mane ochune mondo ogolne osuru; onge ngʼama timbene richo moro amora ma nosande.
No foe shall make exactions on him, Nor shall, a son of perversity, humiliate him;
23 Abiro tieko chuth joma kedo kode koneno gi wangʼe, kendo abiro goyo wasike duto piny.
And I will shatter, from before him, his adversaries, And, them who hate him, will I smite;
24 Herana mar adier nobed kode, kendo tungene nomi duongʼ nikech nyinga.
And, my faithfulness and my lovingkindness, shall be with him, And, in my Name, exalted shall be his horn;
25 Abiro keyo lwete mi kwak nam, kendo lwete ma korachwich biro kwako aore.
And I will set, in the sea, his hand, And, in the rivers, his right hand;
26 Obiro luonga ni, ‘In Wuonwa kendo in Nyasacha, lwandana ma Jawarna.’
He, shall cry out unto me, My Father, thou art, My GOD, and my Rock of Salvation!
27 Bende abiro ketone nyathina makayo, ma en Jal motingʼ malo moloyo ruodhi duto mag piny.
Yea, I, will appoint him, firstborn, Most High to the kings of the earth!
28 Abiro siko ka ahere nyaka chiengʼ, kendo winjruok ma atimo kode ok norem mak ochopo ngangʼ.
Age-abidingly, will I keep for him my lovingkindness, And, my covenant, hath been made steadfast for him;
29 Abiro guro kothe nyaka chiengʼ, kendo lochne nosiki mana kaka polo osiko.
Therefore will I appoint, to futurity, his seed, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 “Kata ka yawuote nowe chikna ma ok giluwo yorena,
If his sons forsake my law, And, in my regulations, do not walk;
31 ka ok girito buchena kendo ka chikena otamogi luwo,
If, my statutes, they profane, And, my commandments, do not keep:
32 to anakum richogi gi luth, kendo anago kethogi gi chwat.
Then will I punish, with a rod, their transgression; And, with stripes, their iniquity:
33 Kata kamano ok anagol herana kuome, bende ok anatimne gima opogore gi adierana.
But, my lovingkindness, will I not frustrate from them, Neither will I falsify my faithfulness;
34 Ok anawe mak achopo winjruokna kode kata loko gima asewacho gi dhoga.
I will not violate my covenant, And that which hath proceeded out of my lips, will I not alter:
35 Asesingora dichiel kendo mogik kuom ler mara, kendo ok abi riambo ne Daudi,
One thing, have I sworn by my holiness, Verily, to David, will I not lie;
36 ni kothe nodhi nyime nyaka chiengʼ kendo lochne nosiki e nyima ka wangʼ chiengʼ;
His seed, age-abidingly, shall remain, And, his throne, be like the sun before me;
37 nogure mi osiki nyaka chiengʼ kaka dwe, ma en ranyisi madier e kor polo.” (Sela)
Like the moon, shall it be established unto times age-abiding, And, a witness, in the skies, hath been made sure. (Selah)
38 To in isekwedo, kendo iseweya, iyi osewangʼ matek gi ngʼati mowir.
Yet, thou thyself, hast cast off, and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine Anointed One!
39 Iselokori iweyo singruok mane itimo gi jatichni, kendo isechido osimbone ei buru.
Thou hast cast down the covenant of thy Servant, Thou hast profaned, to the earth, his crown;
40 Isegoyo ohingane duto piny kendo isemuko kuondege mochiel motegno mi olokore gunda.
Thou hast broken down all his defenses, Thou hast laid his fortresses in ruins;
41 Ji duto makalo bute oseyake; osedoko ngʼama jobute nyiero.
All the passers by the way, have plundered him, He hath become a reproach to his neighbours;
42 Isetingʼo lwedo ma korachwich mar wasike malo; isemiyo wasike duto oil.
Thou hast raised the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast gladdened all his enemies;
43 Bende isemiyo dho liganglane obedo madik kendo ok isekonye e kedo.
Yea thou hast turned the edge of his sword, Neither hast thou caused him to stand in the battle;
44 Isemiyo duongʼne orumo kendo isewito lochne piny.
Thou hast brought to an end his splendour, And, his throne—to the ground, hast thou hurled;
45 Isengʼado ndalo mag tin-ne odoko machiek; isemiyo oneno wichkuot maduongʼ. (Sela)
Thou hast shortened the days of his youths, —Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
46 Nyaka karangʼo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye? Ibiro pando wangʼi nyaka chiengʼ koso? Mirimbi biro liel ka mach nyaka karangʼo?
How long, O Yahweh, Wilt thou hide thyself utterly? Shall thine indignation, burn like fire?
47 Parie kaka ngimana rumo piyo. Neye kaka ne ichweyo dhano duto kayiem!
Remember how short-lived, I, am, Wherefore, in vain, hast thou created all the sons of Adam?
48 En ngʼa manyalo bedo mangima nyaka chiengʼ mak oneno tho? Koso en ngʼa manyalo resore owuon e teko mar liel? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
Who is the man that shall live, and not see death? That can deliver his soul from the hand of hades. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, tinde ere herani maduongʼ machon, (hera) mane isingori kuom adierani, ni initim ne Daudi?
Where are thy former lovingkindnesses, O My Lord? Thou didst swear unto David, in thy faithfulness!
50 Ruoth, parie kaka ji osechayo jatichni, parie kaka atingʼo e chunya ayenje mag ogendini duto,
Remember, O My Lord, the reproach of thy servants, I have carried in my bosom the insult of the peoples:
51 ayenje ma wasiki osejerogo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ayenje ma gisejarogo okangʼ kokangʼ mar jatichni mowir.
In that thy foes have reproached, O Yahweh, In that they have reproached the footsteps of thine Anointed One!
52 Opak Jehova Nyasaye nyaka chiengʼ!
Blessed be Yahweh to times age-abiding, Amen, and Amen!
