< Zaburi 88 >
1 Wer. Zaburi mar yawuot Kora. Kuom jatend wer. Kaluwore gi mahalath leanoth. Maskil mar Heman ja-Ezra. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, in e Nyasacha ma resa, aywagora e nyimi odiechiengʼ gotieno.
A song of a Psalm for the sons of Core for the end, upon Maeleth for responsive [strains], of instruction for Aeman the Israelite. O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried by day and in the night before you.
2 Mad lamona chop e nyimi; yie ilok iti ne kwayona.
Let my prayer come in before you; incline your ear to my supplication, O Lord.
3 Nimar chandruok opongʼo chunya kendo ngimana sudo machiegni gi liel. (Sheol )
For my soul is filled with troubles, and my life has drawn near to Hades. (Sheol )
4 Ikwana kaachiel gi joma ridore piny ei bur matut; achalo ngʼama onge teko.
I have been reckoned with them that go down to the pit; I became as a man without help;
5 Ojwangʼa kaachiel gi joma otho, mana kaka joma onegi monindo e bur, makoro ok ipar kuomgi kendo, joma ongʼad kargi oko e ritni.
free among the dead, as the slain ones cast out, who sleep in the tomb; whom you remember no more; and they are rejected from your hand.
6 Iseketa ei bur matut mogik, ei piny mogik, kama olil ti.
They laid me in the lowest pit, in dark [places], and in the shadow of death.
7 Mirimbi mager ogore kuoma mapek; isetamo wangʼa gi apaka magi duto. (Sela)
Your wrath has pressed heavily upon me, and you have brought upon me all your billows. (Pause)
8 Isemiyo osiepena mane ni machiegni koda mogik oringa, kendo isemiyo koro achalonegi mana koko. Odinna ma ok anyal tony;
You have removed my acquaintance far from me; they have made me an abomination to themselves; I have been delivered up, and have not gone forth.
9 wengena ok nen maber nikech kuyo ma an-go. Aluongi odiechiengʼ kodiechiengʼ, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; achikoni lwetena.
Mine eyes are dimmed from poverty; but I cried to you, O Lord, all the day; I spread forth my hands to you.
10 Bende itimo honni magi ne joma otho? Joma otho bende nyalo chier kendo mi paki? (Sela)
Will you work wonders for the dead? or shall physicians raise [them] up, that they shall praise you?
11 Herani bende inyiso joma ni ei liel; adier, koso adierani bende yudore e kethruok piny?
Shall any one declare your mercy in the tomb? and your truth in destruction?
12 Timbeni miwuoro bende ongʼere kama otimo mudhono, kata timbeni makare e piny ma ilalieno?
Shall your wonders be known in darkness? and your righteousness in a forgotten land?
13 Anto aywakni mondo ikonya, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; lamona chopo e nyimi gokinyi.
But I cried to you, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent you.
14 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, angʼo momiyo idaga kendo ipandona wangʼi?
Therefore, O Lord, do you reject my prayer, [and] turn your face away from me?
15 Aseneno chandruok chakre tin-na mi adwa tho; asewinjo malit nikech thagruok misekelona, kendo chunya oseol.
I am poor and in troubles from my youth; and having been exalted, I was brought low and into despair.
16 Mirimbi mager oseywaya; thagruok mimiya osetieka.
Your wrath has passed over me; and your terrors have greatly disquieted me.
17 Gilwora ka ataro odiechiengʼ duto; gisedinona chuth koni gi koni.
They compassed me like water; all the day they beset me together.
18 Isemaya osiepena gi joherana; mudho mandiwa ema koro odongʼ machiegni koda kaka osiepna.
You have put far from me [every] friend, and mine acquaintances because of [my] wretchedness.
