< Zaburi 8 >
1 Kuom Jatend Wer. Kaluwore Gi Gitith. Zaburi Mar Daudi. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ma Ruodhwa, mano kaka nyingi nigi duongʼ e piny duto! Iseketo duongʼni maler milamo, moyombo polo.
“To the chief musician upon Gittith, a psalm of David.” O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth! thou who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.
2 Ne isechano mondo nyithindo kod nyithindo mayom omiyi pak, nikech wasiki, mondo jawasigu kod jachul kuor olingʼ kawuoro timni.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou founded [thy] might, because of thy opponents, that thou mightest bring to silence the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
3 Kaparo polo mari ma gin tich lweti, kaparo dwe gi sulwe miseketo kargi,
When I behold thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast established: —
4 to dhano adhana to en angʼo momiyo ipare, wuod dhano to en angʼo momiyo iketo pachi kuome?
What is the mortal, that thou rememberest him? and the son of man, that thou thinkest of him:
5 Ne ichweye mapiny ne malaike kendo isesidhone osimbo mar duongʼ kod luor.
Yet thou hast made him but a little less than angels, and hast crowned him with honor and glory.
6 Isekete jatelo ewi tich lweti duto; iseketo gik moko duto e bwo tiende:
Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; every thing hast thou placed beneath his feet:
7 Jamni gi kweth duto kod le mager mag bungu,
Flocks and herds altogether, and also the beasts of the field;
8 Winy duto mafuyo e kor polo, kod rech manie nam, gi le duto mamol kaluwo yore manie nembe iketo e bwo lochne.
The birds of heaven, and the fishes of the sea, whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ma Ruodhwa, mano kaka nyingi nigi duongʼ e piny duto!
O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth!
