1 Mar Solomon. Sidh ne ruoth adiera mari, yaye Nyasaye, sidh ne wuod ruoth timni makare.
Of Solomon. Give the king, O God, your own spirit of justice your spirit of right to the son of the king,
2 Obiro ngʼado ne jou bura makare, obiro kelo adiera ne jou masandore.
that with right he may judge your people, and your downtrodden ones with justice.
3 Gode biro kelo mwandu ne ji, kendo thuche biro kelo olemb tim makare.
May the mountains bear weal for the people, and the hills yield fruits of justice.
4 Obiro chwako joma odhier manie dier ji kendo obiro reso nyithind joma ochando; to thiro ji, to obiro tieko pep.
The weak may he help to their rights, may he save the sons of the needy and crush the oppressor in pieces.
5 Obiro siko ka wangʼ chiengʼ, obiro siko ka dwe e tienge duto.
May he live as long as the sun, while the moon shines – for ages and ages.
6 Obiro chalo gi koth machwe e lum mongʼadi maber kendo gi kodh ajiki mamiyo piny ngʼich.
May he be like the rain on the meadow, like showers that water the earth.
7 E ndalone joma kare biro dhi maber, kendo kwe biro bedo mogundho nyaka chop dwe lal nono.
In his days may justice flourish, and welfare abound, till the moon be no more.
8 Obiro bedo gi loch chakre nam nyaka nam kendo kochakore Aora maduongʼ nyaka kuma piny ogikie.
May he reign from ocean to ocean, from the river to the ends of the earth.
9 Ogendini modak e piny ongoro biro kulorene kendo wasike biro nangʼo lowo gi dhogi.
May his foes bow down before him, his enemies lick the dust.
10 Ruodhi mag Tarshish kod mag dho nembe man maboyo biro miye gik moko, kendo ruodhi mag Sheba gi mag Seba biro kelone mich.
May tribute be rendered by kings of the isles and of Tarshish; may gifts be brought by the kings of Sheba and Seba.
11 Ruodhi duto biro kulorene kendo ogendini duto biro tiyone.
May all kings fall prostrate before him, and all nations yield him their service.
12 Nimar obiro konyo joma ochando maywagore, jogo modhier maonge gi jakony.
For he saves the poor when he cries, the helpless and the downtrodden.
13 Obiro kecho joma ok nyal gi joma ochando kendo obiro reso ngima joma ochando.
He pities the weak and the poor, he saves the lives of the poor.
14 Obiro gologi e dich modigigo kendo e timbe mahundu, nimar okwano rembgi ka gima nengone tek.
He redeems them from wrong and from violence, for dear is their blood in his sight.
15 Mad odag amingʼa! Mad kelne dhahabu moa Sheba. Mad ji duto sik ka lamone kendo ka gwedhe odiechiengʼ duto.
Long may he live; and may gold of Sheba be given him; prayer, too, be made for him ceaselessly, all the day long may men bless him.
16 Mad cham bed mangʼeny e piny duto, bende gikwak nyaka wi godo matindo duto. Mad olembene ol mathoth ka Lebanon, kendo mad onyagi ka lum manie pap.
May the land have abundance of corn, to the tops of the hills may it wave. May the fruit thereof flourish like Lebanon, may men spring from the city like grass of the earth.
17 Mad nyinge sik nyaka chiengʼ kendo mad odhi nyime ka wangʼ chiengʼ. Ogendini duto ibiro gwedhi gi gweth moa kuomi kendo gibiro luongi ni ngʼat mogwedhi.
May his name be blessed forever, may his fame endure as the sun. May all nations envy his blessedness, all tribes of the earth call him happy.
18 Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel, mondo oyud opak, en kende ema otimo gik miwuoro.
Blest be the Lord God, Israel’s God, who alone does wonders;
19 Nyinge man-gi duongʼ mondo opaki nyaka chiengʼ kendo mad piny duto pongʼ gi duongʼne.
And blest be forever his glorious name. Let all the earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
