1 Kuom jatend wer. E dwol mar “Kik iketh gik moko.” Miktam mar Daudi. Kane Saulo ooro ji mondo ocher od Daudi mondo onege. Resa e lwet wasika, yaye Nyasaye; Rit ngimana kuom joma ogar koda.
To the Chief Musician. "Do not Destroy." A precious Psalm of David. When Saul sent, and they watched the house, to kill him. Rescue me from my foes, O my God, From them who lift themselves up against me, wilt thou set me on high:
2 Gola e lwet joma timo gik maricho kendo resa kuom joma riyo mar chwero remo omako.
Rescue me, from the workers of iniquity, And, from the men of bloodshed, save me.
3 Neye kaka gibutona ka girita e yo! Joma kwiny chano kaka digihinya, to an onge gima rach kata richo masetimo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye.
For lo! they have lain in wait for my life, Mighty ones stir up strife against me, Without transgression of mine, and without sin of mine, O Yahweh;
4 Onge gima asetimo marach, to kata kamano gin to giikore monja. Aa malo ikonya; ne chandruokna.
For no iniquity, do they run that they may take their stand, Rouse thyself to meet me, and see.
5 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasaye Maratego, in Nyasach Israel, aa malo ikum ogendini duto; kik ikech andhoke ma timbegi richo. (Sela)
Thou, therefore, O Yahweh, God of hosts, God of Israel, Awake, to visit all the nations, Do not show favour to any iniquitous traitors. (Selah)
6 Gidwogo ka piny imore, ka gingʼur ka guogi, kendo giwuotho koni gi koni e dala ka gingʼanjo.
They return at evening, They grow like a dog, And go round the city.
7 Neye gik ma gingʼudho koa e dhogi, gingʼudho ligengni gi dhogi, kendo giwacho niya, “En ngʼa manyalo winjowa?”
Lo! they belch forth with their mouth, Swords, are in their lips, For [say they], Who doth hear?
8 To in nyiergi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, go siboi ne ogendinigo duto.
Thou, therefore, O Yahweh, wilt laugh at them, Thou wilt mock at all nations.
9 Yaye tekona, in ema angʼiyi, in e kar pondona, yaye Nyasaye,
O my Strength, unto thee, will I make melody, For, God, is my high tower.
10 Yaye Nyasacha ma jahera. Nyasaye biro telona kendo obiro miyo asungra ne joma ketho nyinga.
My God of lovingkindness, will come to meet me, God, will let me look on mine adversaries.
11 To kik uneg-gi, yaye Ruoth ma okumbana nikech joga dipoka wigi owil. Mi giba abaya koni gi koni gi tekoni, kendo mi gidog piny.
Do not slay them, lest my people forget, Cause them to wander by thy strength, and prostrate them, [Thou] our shield, O Lord!
12 Nikech richo ma gitimo gi dhogi kuom wuoyo, nikech weche mawuok e dhogi, wegi mondo sungagi ogajgi. Nikech gikwongʼo ji kendo gi wuondo ji,
The sin of their mouth, The word of their lips, Let them then be captured in their pride, Both for the oath and for the deception they record.
13 tiekgi gi mirimbi mager, tiekgi mi kargi lal nono, eka biro ngʼere e tungʼ piny koni gi koni ni Nyasaye nigi loch kuom joka Jakobo. (Sela)
Bring to a full end in wrath, Bring to a full end, that they be no more, —That men may know that, God, is ruling in Jacob, Unto the ends of the earth. (Selah)
14 Gidwogo ka piny imore ka gingʼur ka guogi, kendo giwuotho koni gi koni e dala ka gingʼanjo.
Let them return, then, at evening, Let them growl like a dog, And go round the city.
15 Gibayo koni gi koni ka gidwaro chiemo kendo ka ok giyiengʼ to gingʼur.
They, may prowl about for food, —And, if they are not satisfied, then let them whine!
16 Anto abiro wer kuom tekoni abiro wero herani gokinyi; nikech in e ohingana, in e kar pondona e kinde mag thagruok.
But, I, will sing thy power, And will shout aloud, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, —For thou has become a refuge for me, And a place to flee to in the day of my distress.
17 In e tekona, omiyo abiro weroni wend pak; in e ohingana, yaye Nyasaye, in e Nyasacha ma jahera.
O my Strength, unto thee, will I make melody, For, God, is my high tower, my God of lovingkindness.
