< Zaburi 5 >
1 Kuom jatend wende miwero gi asili. Zaburi Mar Daudi. Chik iti mondo iwinj wechena, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, para kuom pek manie chunya.
To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:
2 Winj ywakna mar dwaro kony, Yaye Ruodha kendo Nyasacha, nikech in ema alami.
Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.
3 Yie iwinj dwonda gokinyi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; aketo kwayona e nyimi gokinyi, kendo arito dwoko ka an gi geno.
O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;
4 Ok in Nyasaye mamor gi timbe maricho. Joma richo ok nyal dak kodi kanyachiel.
For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:
5 Josunga ok nyal chungʼ e nyimi; imon gi ji duto matimo gik maricho.
Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:
6 Itieko joma wacho miriambo; Jehova Nyasaye ok mor gi joma dwaro chwero remo, kod jo-miriambo.
Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.
7 An to, nikech kechni maduongʼ, abiro donjo e odi; abiro kulora gi luor ka achomo hekalu mari maler.
But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:
8 Telna, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kuom adiera mari, nikech wasigu molwora, yie iriena yori tir e nyima.
O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:
9 Kata wach achiel mowuok e dho jogi ok nyal gen; chunygi opongʼ gi kethruok. Dwondgi chalo gi liel mapok oum; lewgi olony e wacho miriambo.
For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.
10 Kwan-gi kaka joketho, yaye Nyasaye! Ket obadho ma giketo ne ji ogajgi gin giwegi. Riembgi nikech richogi mathoth, nimar gisengʼanyoni.
Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —
11 We ji duto moketi kar pondo margi obed mamor; we gisiki ka giwer gimor. Umgi gi rit mari, mondo joma ohero nyingi omor kodi.
That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.
12 Nikech igwedho joma kare adier, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; igengʼogi gi hapi mana ka okumba.
For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
