< Zaburi 41 >

1 Kuom jatend wer. Zaburi mar Daudi. Ngʼama paro joma ok nyal en jahawi; Jehova Nyasaye rese ka chandruok omake.
Unto the end. A Psalm of David himself. Blessed is he who shows understanding toward the needy and the poor. The Lord will deliver him in the evil day.
2 Jehova Nyasaye biro rite kendo biro miyo obed mangima; Jehova Nyasaye biro gwedhe e piny, kendo ok obi jwangʼe e lwet wasike.
May the Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth. And may he not hand him over to the will of his adversaries.
3 Jehova Nyasaye biro rite e kitandane mar tuo midekre kendo obiro miyo oa malo e kitandane ka ohewore.
May the Lord bring him help on his bed of sorrow. In his infirmity, you have changed his entire covering.
4 Ne awacho niya, “Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kecha; changa, nikech aseketho e nyimi.”
I said, “O Lord, be merciful to me. Heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.”
5 Wasika wuoyo kuoma ka chunygi rach koda, kagiwacho niya, “Obiro tho karangʼo mondo nyinge olal chuth?”
My enemies have spoken evils against me. When will he die and his name perish?
6 Sa asaya ma ngʼato obiro nena, to owuondore ni owuoyo kuoma maber, to ei chunye to ofwambo weche, mondo okethgo nyinga eka oa odhi kendo okeyo wechego ne ji.
And when he came in to see me, he was speaking emptiness. His heart gathered iniquity to itself. He went outside, and he was speaking in the same way.
7 Wasika duto kuodho wach kuoma kaachiel kaka ginyalo hinya, chunygi paro gik maricho mogik mondo ohinya, kagiwacho niya,
All my enemies were whispering against me. They were thinking up evils against me.
8 “Tuo marach osekete piny; ok obi aa malo kama oninde.”
They established an unjust word against me. Will he that sleeps no longer rise again?
9 Koda ka osiepna mane ageno kuome, ngʼat mane chiemo koda, bende osendhoga.
For even the man of my peace, in whom I hoped, who ate my bread, has greatly supplanted me.
10 To in, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, yie ikecha; chunga malo, mondo achulgi.
But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me up again. And I will requite them.
11 Angʼeyo ni chunyi mor koda, nimar jowasika ok loya.
By this, I knew that you preferred me: because my adversary will not rejoice over me.
12 Itingʼa malo nikech timna makare kendo ichunga e nyimi nyaka chiengʼ.
But you have sustained me, because of my innocence, and you have confirmed me in your sight in eternity.
13 Pak ne Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel, nyaka chiengʼ kendo nyaka chiengʼ.
Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for all generations and even forever. Amen. Amen.
