< Zaburi 37 >
1 Zaburi mar Daudi. Kik chunyi chandre nikech joma richo bende chunyi kik gomb gige joma timo gik maricho;
Of David. Be not kindled to wrath at the wicked, nor envious of those who work wrong;
2 nikech gibiro ner mapiyo mana kaka lum ner; gibiro tho mi gilal nono mapiyo mana kaka yiende mangʼich.
for, like grass, they will speedily wither, and fade like the green of young grass.
3 Gen kuom Jehova Nyasaye kendo tim maber. Eka inidag e piny kendo inichiem gi mor e lek maber.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; remain in the land, and deal faithfully:
4 Bed mamor kuom Jehova Nyasaye eka obiro miyi gik moko duto ma chunyi dwaro.
then the Lord will be your delight, he will grant you your heart’s petitions.
5 Ket yoreni kuom Jehova Nyasaye; ket genoni kuome eka obiro timo kama:
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act,
6 Obiro miyo timni makare rieny ka ler mar okinyi, kendo obiro miyo ratiro mari bed machalo gi wangʼ chiengʼ marieny odiechiengʼ tir.
making clear as the light your right, and your just cause clear as the noon-day.
7 Bed mos e nyim Jehova Nyasaye, kendo rite kihori mos; kik chunyi chandre ka joma moko dhi nyime maber, ka gitimo chenrogi maricho.
In silence and patience wait on the Lord. Be not kindled to anger at those who prosper. At those who execute evil devices.
8 Ritri kik ibed gi mirima kendo lokri iwe ich wangʼ kik ibed gi ich wangʼ nikech okelo mana rach.
Desist from anger, abandon wrath: be not kindled to anger it leads but to evil:
9 Nikech joma richo ibiro ngʼad kargi oko, to joma oketo genogi kuom Jehova Nyasaye piny biro bedo margi.
for evildoers will be cut off, but the land will be theirs, who wait on the Lord.
10 Kinde matin nono to joma timbegi richo ok nobedie; kata obedo ni unumanygi to ok unuyudgi.
Yet but a little, and the wicked vanish: look at their place: they are there no more.
11 To joma muol piny biro bedo margi kendo gibiro winjo maber ka gin gi kwe maduongʼ.
But the humble will have the land, and the rapture of peace in abundance.
12 Joma timbegi richo chano timo marach ni joma kare kendo gimwodo lekegi ka gin gi mirima;
The wicked plots against the righteous, snarls like a wild animal;
13 to Ruoth Nyasaye nyiero joma timbegi richo, nimar ongʼeyo ni odiechieng-gi biro.
the Lord laughs, for he sees that his day is coming.
14 Joma timbegi richo wuodho liganglagi kendo gidolo atungegi, mondo gichiel joma odhier gi jochan piny, mondo gineg joma yoregi oriere tir.
The wicked have drawn the sword, and bent the bow, to fell the poor, to slay those who walk uprightly;
15 To ligengligi biro chwoyo adundogi giwegi, kendo atungegi biro tur.
but their sword will pierce their own heart, and their bows will be broken in pieces.
16 Gima tin ma ngʼat makare nigo ber moloyo mwandu mathoth mag joma timbegi richo;
Better is the righteous person’s little than the wealth of many wicked.
17 nikech teko mar joma timbegi richo ibiro kethi, to Jehova Nyasaye tingʼo ngʼat makare malo.
For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
18 Ndalo mag joma kare ongʼere ni Jehova Nyasaye, kendo girkeni margi biro siko nyaka chiengʼ.
The Lord watches over the days of the blameless, their heritage will continue forever.
19 E kinde mag masira mopore ok ginibed moner, bende gibiro bedo gi chiemo mathoth ndalo kech.
They will not be shamed in the evil time, in the days of famine they will be satisfied.
20 To joma timbegi richo biro lal nono: Wasik Jehova Nyasaye biro chalo gi ber mar thiepe manie pap, gibiro lal nono, adier gibiro lal nono kaka iro.
Because the wicked will perish: but the foes of the Lord, like a brand in the oven, will vanish, like smoke they will vanish.
21 Joma timbegi richo holo ji gik moko to ok chul, to joma kare to chiwo gi ngʼwono;
The wicked must borrow and cannot pay back, but the righteous is lavish and gives.
22 piny biro bedo girkeni mar joma Jehova Nyasaye ogwedho, to joma okwongʼo ibiro ngʼad kargi oko.
For those blest by the Lord inherit the land, while those whom he curses will be cut off.
23 Ka Jehova Nyasaye mor gi yor ngʼato, to omiyo yorene bedo mopie;
The Lord supports the steps of those with whom he is pleased.
24 kata ka ochwanyore to ok obi podho; nikech Jehova Nyasaye omako lwete.
Though they fall, they will not be cast headlong, for the Lord holds their hands.
25 Nyaka aa e tin-na mi koro adoko ngʼama duongʼ pok aneno ka joma kare ojwangʼ, kata ka nyithindgi kwayo chiemo.
Never, from youth to age, have I seen the righteous forsaken, or their children begging bread.
26 Kinde duto gingʼwon kendo giholo ji gigegi nono; nyithindgi ibiro gwedhi.
They are ever lavishly lending, and their children are fountains of blessing.
27 Lokri iwe timo marach mondo itim maber; eka inidag e piny nyaka chiengʼ.
Turn away from evil and do good and you will live in the land forever.
28 Nikech Jehova Nyasaye ohero joma joratiro, kendo ok obi jwangʼo joge ma jo-adiera. Ibiro ritgi maber nyaka chiengʼ, to koth joma timbegi richo, ibiro ngʼad kargi oko;
For the Lord loves justice, he does not forsake his friends. The unrighteous will be destroyed forever, and the seed of the wicked will be cut off.
29 joma kare piny biro bedo margi kendo gibiro dak e piny nyaka chiengʼ.
But the land will belong to the righteous, they will live upon it forever,
30 Dho ngʼat makare hulo rieko kendo lewe wacho gima ratiro.
The mouth of the righteous murmurs wisdom, and words of justice are on their tongues.
31 Chik mar Nyasache ni e chunye; omiyo tiendene ok kier.
The law of their God is in their heart, their steps are never unsteady.
32 Joma timbegi richo pondo karito joma kare ka gidwaro tieko ngimagi;
The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to put them to death.
33 to Jehova Nyasaye ok bi weyogi e lwetgi kata yie bura logi sa ma iyalogi.
But the Lord leaves them not in their hand: at their trial they will not be held guilty.
34 Bed gi geno kuom Jehova Nyasaye kendo luw yore. Obiro tingʼi malo mi omi piny bed mari; ka joma richo ongʼad kargi oko to ibiro neno gi wangʼi.
Wait on the Lord, and observe his way: he will lift you to honour the land will be yours, you will feast your eyes on the doom of the wicked.
35 Aseneno ngʼama timbene richo kendo makwiny kadhi maber mana ka yien mangʼich moti e lowo mowinjore kode.
I have seen the wicked exultant, lifting themselves like a cedar of Lebanon.
36 To ne okalo kamano piyo piyo nono kendo ne ok ochak onene, kata ne omanye to ne ok nyal yude.
But the moment I passed, they vanished! I sought for them, but they could not be found.
37 Ne kit ngima joma onge ketho, non chal joma ngimagi oriere tir, ngʼama ohero kwe nigi geno mar dak amingʼa.
Preserve your honour and practise uprightness, for such a person fares well in the end.
38 To joricho duto ibiro tieki, joma timbegi richo ibiro ngʼad ndalogi oko.
But transgressors will perish together. Cut off are the wicked forever.
39 Warruok mar joma kare aa mana kuom Jehova Nyasaye; En e kar pondo margi e ndalo mar chandruok.
The righteous are saved by the Lord, who in time of distress is their refuge:
40 Jehova Nyasaye konyogi kendo resogi oresogi e lwet joma timbegi richo, kendo owarogi, nikech gipondo kuome.
the Lord helps and rescue them, from the wicked he rescues and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
