1 Zaburi mar Daudi. Kane owuondore ni in janeko e nyim Abimelek, mane oriembe mi oa odhi. Abiro miyo Jehova Nyasaye duongʼ kinde duto; dhoga biro siko kapake.

The Lord’s angel encamps about those who fear him, and rescues them.
8 Bi mondo ine ni Jehova Nyasaye ber; ngʼat ma pondo kuome ogwedhi.
O taste and see that the Lord is good, happy those who take refuge in him.

Which of you is desirous of life, loves many and happy days?

Then guard your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Lokri iwe timbe maricho kendo itim tim maber; many kwe kendo iluwe.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Wangʼ Jehova Nyasaye ni kuom joma kare kendo ite winjo ywakgi;
The eyes of the Lord are towards the righteous, his ears are towards their cry for help.
16 to Jehova Nyasaye mon gi joma timo gik maricho, kendo omiyo wich wil kodgi e piny.
The Lord sets his face against those who do evil, to root their memory out of the earth.
17 Joma kare koywak to Jehova Nyasaye winjogi; oresogi e chandruokgi duto.
When righteous cry, they are heard by the Lord, and he saves them from all their distresses.

The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.
19 Ngʼat makare nyalo bedo gi chandruok mangʼeny, to Jehova Nyasaye rese kuomgi duto;
Many misfortunes befall the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all.

He guards all their bones, none are broken.

Misfortune will slay the ungodly; those who hate the righteous are doomed.
22 Jehova Nyasaye reso jotichne; onge ngʼato kata achiel mopondo kuome ma bura biro loyo.
The Lord ransoms the life of his servants, and none will be doomed who takes refuge in him.
