[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 Chunya biro sungore kuom Jehova Nyasaye, joma nigi rem mondo owinji kendo obed mamor.
My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.
3 Miuru Jehova Nyasaye duongʼ kaachiel koda; watingʼuru nyinge malo kaachiel.
Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Ne amanyo Jehova Nyasaye ka alamo, kendo nodwoka; ne oresa e luoro duto ma an-go.
I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Joma oketo genogi kuome rieny; ok gi bi neno wichkuot.
They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.
6 Ngʼat ma odhierni noluongo Jehova Nyasaye, kendo Jehova Nyasaye nowinje; ne orese mogole e chandruokne duto.
This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 Bi mondo ine ni Jehova Nyasaye ber; ngʼat ma pondo kuome ogwedhi.
Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
9 Luoruru Jehova Nyasaye, un joge maler, nikech joma omiye luor ok chand gimoro amora.
Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 Sibuoche nyalo ool kendo kech nyalo kayogi, to joma manyo Jehova Nyasaye ok ochando gima ber moro amora.
The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
11 Biuru nyithinda kendo winjauru. Abiro puonjou luoro Jehova Nyasaye.
Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
12 Ngʼato angʼata kuomu mohero ngima kendo nigi geno kuom ndalo mabiro mangʼeny mabeyo,
What man is he that desireth life, [and] loveth days, that he may see good?
13 nyaka ogengʼ lewe kik wuo marach kendo ogengʼ dhoge kuom wacho miriambo.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;
14 Lokri iwe timbe maricho kendo itim tim maber; many kwe kendo iluwe.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Wangʼ Jehova Nyasaye ni kuom joma kare kendo ite winjo ywakgi;
The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;
16 to Jehova Nyasaye mon gi joma timo gik maricho, kendo omiyo wich wil kodgi e piny.
The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:
17 Joma kare koywak to Jehova Nyasaye winjogi; oresogi e chandruokgi duto.
[The righteous] cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 Jehova Nyasaye chiegni gi joma chunygi otur kendo oreso joma chunygi muol.
Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
19 Ngʼat makare nyalo bedo gi chandruok mangʼeny, to Jehova Nyasaye rese kuomgi duto;
Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:
20 orito chokene duto, ma kata achiel kuomgi ok notur.
He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
21 Timbe maricho biro nego ngʼama timbene rach, to jowasik joma kare, bura biro loyo.
Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.
22 Jehova Nyasaye reso jotichne; onge ngʼato kata achiel mopondo kuome ma bura biro loyo.
Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
