< Zaburi 28 >
1 Zaburi mar Daudi. In ema aluongi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye Lwandana; kik itamri winjo ywakna. Nikech ka isiko ilingʼ alingʼa, to abiro chalo gi joma osedhi e bur.
A psalm of David. Lord, my rock, I'm calling out to you. Please listen to me! For if you don't respond, I'll be like those who go down into the grave.
2 Winj ywakna mondo ikecha e sa ma aluongi mondo ikonya, e sa ma atingʼo bedena malo kochomo Kari Maler Moloyo.
Listen as I appeal for mercy, as I call for help, as I hold up my hands in prayer towards your holy Temple.
3 Kik iywaya oko gi joricho, kod joma timo gik maricho, joma wuoyo gi jowetegi maber to opando sigu e chunygi.
Don't drag me off with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak nicely to their neighbors while in their minds they're plotting evil.
4 Chulgi kuom timbegi maricho kendo kuom tijegi maricho; chulgi kuom gik ma lwetgi osetimo kendo dwok kuomgi gik mowinjore gi timbegi.
Give them what they deserve for their evil actions. Pay them back for what they've done. Give them the reward they've earned!
5 Nikech ok gidew tije mag Jehova Nyasaye kod gik ma lwetene osetimo, obiro mukogi mi ogogi piny kendo ok nochak ogergi mi gichungʼ kendo.
For they don't pay any attention to what the Lord does, or to what he created. So he will destroy them—they will never be restored.
6 Opak Jehova Nyasaye nikech osewinjo ywakna ma akwayogo kony.
Praise the Lord! For he has heard my appeal for mercy!
7 Jehova Nyasaye e tekona kendo okumbana; chunya ogeno kuome kendo en e konyruokna. Chunya nigi mor kendo abiro goyone erokamano gi wer.
The Lord is my strength and my shield. I trust in him and he helps me. I'm so happy, and I sing my thanks to him.
8 Jehova Nyasaye e teko mar joge, en e ohinga mar resruok ni joge moyiero.
The Lord gives strength to his people; he is a safe refuge for the one he has anointed.
9 Res jogi kendo gwedh jogi moyier bed Jakwadh jogi kendo telnegi nyaka chiengʼ.
