1 Zaburi mar Daudi. Achiwoni chunya, yaye Jehova Nyasaye;
David’s. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Unto thee, O Yahweh, my soul, would I lift:
2 In ema aketo genona kuomi, yaye Nyasacha. Kik iwe ane wichkuot, bende kik iwe wasika loya.
O my God, in thee, have I put my trust, Let me not be put to shame, Let not my foe exult over me:
3 Onge ngʼama oketo genone kuomi manyalo neno wichkuot, to joma timo timbe maricho ema biro neno wichkuot.
Yea let, none who wait for thee, be put to shame, Let them be put to shame who act covertly without cause!
4 Nyisa yoreni, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, puonja mondo aluwgi;
Thy ways, O Yahweh, let me know, Thy paths, teach thou me:
5 telna gi adierani, kendo puonja, nikech in Nyasaye ma Jawarna, kendo genona ni kuomi odiechiengʼ duto.
Guide me into thy truth and teach me, for, thou, art my delivering God, For thee, have I waited all the day:
6 Par kechni maduongʼ gi herani, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, nikech gisebedo ka gintie nyaka aa chon.
Remember thy compassions, O Yahweh, and thy lovingkindnesses, For, from age-past times, have they been.
7 Kik ipar richo mane atimo kapod an rawere kod yorena mobam; para kaluwore gi herani, nikech iber, yaye Jehova Nyasaye.
The sins of my youth, and my transgressions, do not thou call to mind, —According to thine own lovingkindness, remember thou me, for the sake of thine own goodness, O Yahweh.
8 Jehova Nyasaye ber kendo yorene oriere tir; mano emomiyo opuonjo joricho yorene.
Good and upright, is Yahweh, For this cause, will he direct sinners into the way.
9 Otelo ni joma muol kuom gima nikare kendo opuonjogi yore.
May he guide patient wronged-ones to be righted, and teach such oppressed-ones his way.
10 Yore duto mag Jehova Nyasaye opongʼ gihera kod adiera ni joma rito gik moko duto ma singruokne dwaro.
All the paths of Yahweh, are lovingkindness and faithfulness, to such as keep his covenant, and his testimonies.
11 Wena richona nikech nyingi kata obedo ni richona duongʼ ahinya, yaye Jehova Nyasaye,
For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, Therefore wilt thou pardon mine iniquity, for great it is.
12 Koro ere ngʼat ma oluoro Jehova Nyasaye? Obiro puonje luwo yo moyierne.
Who then is the man that revereth Yahweh? Let him direct him into the way he should choose.
13 Obiro dak e ngima momew, kendo nyikwaye nokaw piny kaka girkeni margi.
His soul, with prosperity, shall tarry, and, his seed, shall possess the land.
14 Jehova Nyasaye en osiep joma miye luor; omiyo gingʼeyo singruok mage.
Intimacy with Yahweh, have they who revere him, His covenant also, he letteth them know.
15 Achomo wangʼa kuom Jehova Nyasaye ndalo duto, nikech en kende ema obiro golo tiendena mobadho omako.
Mine eyes, are continually unto Yahweh, —for, he, bringeth, out of the net, my feet.
16 Duog ira kendo bedna mangʼwon, nikech adongʼ kenda kendo an gi kuyo.
Turn thou unto me, and show me favour, for, alone and oppressed, I am.
17 Chandruok manie chunya osemedore; resa kuom rem ma an-go.
The distresses of my heart, hath he relieved, —and, out of my straits, brought me forth.
18 Neye kuyo manie chunya kod rem ma an-go, kendo gol richona duto.
Behold my humiliation and my pain, and take away all my sins.
19 Neye kaka wasika osemedore kendo kaka gichaya gi chunygi duto!
Behold my foes, for they abound, —and, with the hatred of violence, do they hate me.
20 Rit ngimana kendo iresa; kik iwe ane wichkuot, nikech in ema apondo kuomi.
Oh keep my soul, and rescue me, Let me not be put to shame, for I have sought refuge in thee.
21 Mad bidhruok gi ngima moriere rita nikech genona ni kuomi.
Let, blamelessness and uprightness, watch over me, because I have waited for thee.
22 Res Israel, yaye Nyasaye, kuom chandruok mage duto!
Redeem Israel, O God, —out of all his distresses.
