To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Yahweh answer thee, in the day of distress, The Name of the God of Jacob give thee safety;
2 Mad oorni kony moa kare maler mar lemo kendo omiyi kony moa Sayun.
Send thy help out of the sanctuary, and, out of Zion, sustain thee;
3 Mad opar misengni magi duto kendo oyie gi misengini miwangʼo pep magi. (Sela)
Remember every present of thine, and, thine ascending-sacrifice, esteem. (Selah)
4 Mad omiyi gima chunyi gombo kendo omi chenro magi duto odhi maber.
Give thee according to thy heart, and, all thy purposes, fulfil.
5 Wabiro kok gimor ka ilocho kendo wabiro tingʼo bendechwa malo e nying Nyasachwa. Mad Jehova Nyasaye chiw gik moko duto mikwaye.
We will shout aloud in thy salvation, and, in the Name of our God, shall we become great, Yahweh fulfil all thy petitions.
6 Koro angʼeyo ni Jehova Nyasaye reso ngʼate mowir; odwoke gie kare maler mar lemo manie polo, gi teko ma waro ji mar lwete ma korachwich.
Now, do I know that Yahweh, hath saved, his Anointed One, —He answereth him out of his holy heavens, by the mighty saving deeds of his own right hand.
7 Jomoko ogeno kuom gechegi to jomoko kuom faresegi, to wan to wageno kuom nying Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasachwa.
These, by chariots, and, those, by horses, but, we, by the Name of Yahweh our God, will prevail.
8 Gibiro lwar e chonggi mi gipodhi, to wan wabiro aa malo mi wachungʼ motegno.
They, have bowed down and fallen, but, we, have arisen, and stand upright.
9 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, reswa ruoth! Dwokwa ka waluongi!
Yahweh, hath saved the king. Answer us, then, on the day when we call.
