< Zaburi 18 >
1 Kuom jatend wer. Zaburi mar Daudi jatich Jehova Nyasaye. Nowerone Jehova Nyasaye weche mag wendni kinde mane Jehova Nyasaye orese e lwet wasike duto kendo e lwet Saulo. Nowacho niya: Aheri, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, in e tekra.
To the chief Musician. Of the servant of Yahweh, of David, —who spake unto Yahweh the words of this song, —in the day when Yahweh had rescued him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul; and he said: — I will love thee, O Yahweh my strength!
2 Jehova Nyasaye en lwandana, en kar pondo mara kendo en jawarna; Nyasacha en lwandana ma apondo kuome. En okumbana, en tungʼ mar warruokna, kendo en ohingana.
Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer: My GOD, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower.
3 Aluongo Jehova Nyasaye, en mowinjore gi pak, kendo oresa e lwet wasika.
As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
4 Tonde mag tho ne orida matek; kendo ohula mangʼongo mar tho nouma.
The meshes of death encompassed me, The torrents of perdition, made me afraid;
5 Tonde mag liel ne orida kendo odhoga matek; obadho mag tho ne ochoma tir. (Sheol )
The meshes of hades, had surrounded me, The snares of death, had confronted me, (Sheol )
6 E chandruok ne aluongo Jehova Nyasaye; ne aywak ne Nyasaye mondo okonya. Ne owinjo dwonda gie hekalu mare; ywakna nochopo e nyime, modonjo e ite.
In my distress, called I on Yahweh, And, unto my God, made outcry for help, He heard, out of his temple, my voice, And my outcry for help came before him—entered into his ears!
7 Piny notetni kendo oyiengni; kendo mise mag gode notetni; ne gikirni nikech ne okecho.
Then did the earth shake and quake, Even, the foundations of the mountains, were deeply moved, Yea they did shake, because he was angry.
8 Iro nodum koa e otuchi mag ume; mach mangʼangʼni nodhuolore kawuok e dhoge, kendo makaa maliel mager nobebni kawuok kuome.
There went up smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, Live coals, were kindled from it:
9 Nobaro polo mobiro e piny; rumbi molil ti nonyono gi tiende.
Then he stretched out the heaven, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
10 Noidho kerubi eka ofuyo; ne ofuyo matek komoko e bwomb yamo.
Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, and darted on the wings of the wind;
11 Noloko mudho kaka raum mare, mudhono nobedo hema molwore, kendo nokawo rumbi mar koth moloko raumne.
Made darkness his hiding-place, Round about him—his pavilion, Darkness of waters, clouds of vapours.
12 Boche nowuok e ler marieny mane aa kuome, kaachiel gi pe madongo dongo kod mil polo ma tiarore.
Out of the brightness before him, his clouds rolled along, hail, and live coals of fire.
13 Jehova Nyasaye nomor gie polo; dwond Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo nowinjore.
Then did Yahweh thunder in the heavens, and the Highest uttered his voice, —hail, and live coals of fire.
14 Nodiro asernige mokeyo wasigu, mor polo gi mil polo noriembogi.
And he sent forth his arrows and scattered them, yea, lightnings, he shot out, and confused them.
15 Holni manie bwo nembe noelore kendo mise mag piny nowe nono, kane ikwerogi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kane teko mar muya mowuok e otuchi mag umi ogoyogi.
Then appeared the channels of waters, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —At thy rebuke O Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16 Nochopo ira piny koa malo mi okawa; ne ogola oko e kude mag pi matut.
He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters.
17 Noresa e lwet jasika maratego, kuom jowasika, mane tek moloya.
He rescued me from my foe, in his might, and from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
18 Negimonja e kinde mane an gi masira, to Jehova Nyasaye ema nokonya.
They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, Then became Yahweh my stay:
19 Ne okela moketa kama lach; ne oresa nikech chunye ne mor koda.
And brought me out, into a large place, he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20 Jehova Nyasaye osetimona maber ka oluwore gi timna makare; osechiwona ka oluwore gi ler mar lwetena.
Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me;
21 Nikech aserito yore Jehova Nyasaye; pok atimo marach kuom lokora weyo Nyasacha.
For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, and not broken away from my God;
22 Chikene duto ni e nyima; pok alokora aweyo buchene.
For, all his regulations, were before me, and, his statutes, did I not put from me:
23 Asebedo ka aonge ketho e nyime kendo aseritora mondo kik atim richo.
So became I blameless with him, and kept myself from mine iniquity.
24 Jehova Nyasaye osechiwona kaluwore gi timna makare, osechiwona kaluwore gi ler mar lwetena e nyime.
Yahweh therefore repaid me according to my righteousness, according to the pureness of my hands, before his eyes.
25 Ne joma jo-adiera, inyisori kaka ja-adiera, kendo ne joma longʼo, inyisori kaka ngʼama longʼo,
With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —With the blameless man, thou didst show thyself blameless;
26 ne jomaler, inyisori kaka ngʼama ler, to ne joma yoregi obam, inyisori kaka ngʼama rach.
With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, But, with the perverse, thou didst show thyself ready to contend.
27 Ireso joma muol to joma wengegi tek idwoko piny.
For, as for thee, an oppressed people, thou didst save, but, looks that were lofty, layedst thou low;
28 In ema imiyo tacha siko kaliel, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; Nyasacha loko mudho mouma doko ler.
For, thou, didst light up my lamp, Yahweh my God, enlightened my darkness;
29 Ka ikonya to anyalo loyo jolweny momonja; ka an gi Nyasacha to anyalo lwenyo ohinga.
For, by thee, I ran through a troop, and, by my God, I leapt over a wall.
30 Nyasaye to yore longʼo chuth; wach Jehova Nyasaye onge rem moro amora. En okumba ne ji duto ma pondo kuome.
As for GOD, blameless is his way, The speech of Yahweh hath been proved, A shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
31 Nikech en Nyasaye mane minyalo pimo gi Jehova Nyasaye? Koso en ngʼa ma en Lwanda, ka ok Nyasachwa?
For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? And who is a Rock, save our God?
32 Nyasaye ema miya teko kendo omiyo yora bedo mokwe.
The GOD who girded me with strength, and set forth, as blameless, my way:
33 Omiyo tiendena bedo mayot ka tiende mwanda; kendo en ema omiyo achungʼ kuonde man malo maboyo.
Planting my feet like hinds’ [feet], yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand:
34 Otiego lwetena ne lweny; momiyo bedena nyalo dolo atung nyinyo.
Teaching my hands to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms.
35 Isemiya okumba mar warruokni, kendo lweti korachwich osesira; kony mari osemiyo abedo gi duongʼ.
Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy right hand, sustained me, and, thy condescension, made me great.
36 Imiyo yo mawuothoe bedo malach, mondo tiendena kik ba yo.
Thou didst widen my stepping-places under me, so that, mine ankles, faltered not.
37 Ne alawo wasika mi ajukogi; kendo ne ok alokora aweyogi nyaka ne atiekogi pep.
I pursued my foes, and overtook them, and returned not, till they were consumed:
38 Ne atiekogi, mane ok ginyal chungʼ; negipodho e tienda.
I crushed them, and they were unable to rise, They fell under my feet.
39 Ne imiya teko mar kedo lweny; ne imiyo jomamon koda kulore e nyima.
Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, Thou subduedst mine assailants under me.
40 Ne imiyo wasika oringo kadhi, mine atieko joma ok dwara.
As for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, and, as for them who hated me, I destroyed them.
41 Ne giywak mondo okonygi to onge ngʼama ne nyalo resogi; ne giywakne Jehova Nyasaye to ne ok odwokogi.
They cried out, but there was none to save, unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
42 Ne agoyogi adunya ka buru ma yamo tero, ne achodhogi oko ka chwodho mag yore mag dala.
Then did I beat them in pieces, like dust on the face of the wind. Like the mire in the lanes, did I scatter them.
43 Ne iresa e ywaruok gi ji. Ne iketa jatend ogendini; joma ne ok angʼeyo chon notiyona.
Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of a people, —didst appoint me to be the head of nations, A people I had not known, served me:
44 Kane giwinjo humba, ne giwinja; jopinje mamoko nobiro motwere kuoma.
At the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, the sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me:
45 Negibiro ka gitetni; kendo ka chunygi ool, ka gia kuondegi mag pondo.
The sons of the foreigner, lost heart, and came quaking out of their fortresses.
46 Jehova Nyasaye ngima! Lwandana mondo ogwedhi. Kendo Nyasaye mar Warruokna mondo otingʼ malo!
Yahweh liveth and, blessed, be my Rock, yea, exalted, be the God of my salvation:
47 Nyasaye mane ochulo kuor kara kendo oloyo ogendini e bwoya;
The GOD, who hath avenged me, —and subjugated peoples under me:
48 mane oresa e lwet wasika; ne itingʼa malo e kind wasika ne iresa e lwet jo-mahundu.
Who hath delivered me from my foes, —Yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, From the man of violence, hast thou rescued me.
49 Emomiyo anapaki e kind ogendini, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kendo anawer wende mapako nyingi.
For this cause, will I praise thee among the nations, O Yahweh, and, to thy Name, will I sweep the strings: —
50 Jehova Nyasaye kelo resruok maduongʼ ne ruoth moketo, onyiso (hera) mogundho ma ok rum ne ngʼate mowir, ni Daudi gi nyikwaye nyaka chiengʼ.
Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, To David and to his Seed, Unto times age-abiding.
