< Zaburi 16 >

1 Miktam mar Daudi. Rita maber, yaye Nyasaye nikech in e kar pondona.
Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 Ne awacho ne Jehova Nyasaye niya, “In e Ruodha; onge gima ber machielo ma an-go makmana in.”
[O my soul], thou hast said to the LORD, Thou [art] my LORD: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee;
3 To jomaler manie piny, to gin kaka joma nigi duongʼ ma ahero gi chunya duto.
[But] to the saints that [are] in the earth, and [to] the excellent, in whom [is] all my delight.
4 Joma lawo nyiseche mamoko kuyo margi biro medore. Misengini magi mag remo ok abi olo oko kendo kata nying-gi ok abi hulo gi dhoga.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied [that] hasten [after] another [god]: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take their names into my lips.
5 Jehova Nyasaye, isemiya pok makora kod okombena; iserita maber gi giga duto.
The LORD [is] the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 Kiepena duto ochopo kuonde mabeyo; adier, girkeni maga duto moro wangʼ adier.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant [places]; yes, I have a goodly heritage.
7 Abiro pako Jehova Nyasaye mangʼadona rieko; kata gotieno chunya puonja.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night season.
8 Asiko aketo Jehova Nyasaye e nyima ndalo duto. Nikech ka entie e lweta korachwich, to onge gima nyalo yienga.
I have set the LORD always before me: because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Emomiyo chunya mor kendo lewa yot; ringra bende biro yweyo gi kwe,
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 nikech ok inijwangʼa ei liel, to bende ok niyie Ngʼati Maler tow. (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
11 Isenyisa yor ngima; inipongʼa gi mor mogundho ka an e nyimi, kendo gi mor mosiko e badi korachwich.
Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fullness of joy; at thy right hand [are] pleasures for evermore.
