1 Zaburi mar Daudi. Winj lamona, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, chik iti ne ywakna mar kech; bi mondo ikonya nikech in ja-adiera kendo itimo maber.
Sh'ma ·Hear obey· my prayer, Adonai. Listen to my petitions. In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me.
2 Kik imi jatichni yud kum nimar onge kata ngʼato achiel matimo maber e nyimi.
Don’t enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no man living is upright.
3 Jasigu lawa matek, oserodha piny nyaka e lowo; ochuna ni nyaka adag kama otimo mudho mana ka joma notho chon gi lala.
For the enemy pursues my soul. He has struck my life down to the ground. He has made me live in dark places, as those who have been long dead.
4 Omiyo chunya chandore e iya, ee, chunya obwok.
Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me. My heart within me is desolate.
5 Aparo higni machon mosekalo; aketo pacha mos kuom tijeni duto, kendo ageno gik ma lweti osetimo.
I remember the days of old. I meditate on all your doings. I contemplate the work of your hands.
6 Ayaroni lwetena; chunya gombi mana kaka lowo motwo gombo koth. (Sela)
I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
7 Dwoka piyo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, nimar chunya ool. Kik ipandna wangʼi nono to dipoka achalo gi joma ridore e bur matut.
Hurry to answer me, Adonai. My spirit fails. Don’t hide your face from me, so that I don’t become like those who go down into the pit (of Abbadon, the unrighteous side of Sheol).
8 Mi mondo okinyi oromna gi herani ma ok rem, nimar aketo genona kuomi. Nyisa yo monego alu nimar aketo chunya duto kuomi.
Cause me to sh'ma ·hear obey· your cheshed ·loving-kindness· in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you.
9 Resa e lwet wasika, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, nimar in e jaritna.
Deliver me, Adonai, from my enemies. I flee to you to hide me.
10 Puonja timo dwaroni, nimar in e Nyasacha; mi mondo Roho mari maber, otelna e yo mopie.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.
11 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kony ngimana nikech nyingi iwuon; gola oko e chandruok nikech timni maber.
Revive me, Adonai, for your name’s sake. In your righteousness, bring my soul out of trouble.
12 Mi wasika olingʼ thi, nikech herani ma ok rem; tiek joma kedo koda duto nimar an jatichni.
In your cheshed ·loving-kindness·, cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul, For I am your servant.
