1 Maskil mar Daudi. Kane en ei bur. Lamo. Aywak matek ne Jehova Nyasaye; atingʼo dwonda ne Jehova Nyasaye mondo okecha.
I cry with my voice to Jehovah. With my voice to Jehovah I make supplication.
2 Ahulone gik mathaga duto; anyise chandruokna duto ka abet e nyime.
I pour out my complaint before him. I show my trouble before him.
3 E kinde ma chunya chandore e iya, to in ema ingʼeyo yor konyruokna. E bugo matut ma awuothoe ji osechikonae obadho.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, thou knew my path. In the way in which I walk they have hidden a snare for me.
4 Rang batha korachwich; mondo ine kaonge ngʼama dewa. Aonge kar pondo; bende aonge ngʼama rito ngimana.
Look on my right hand, and see, for there is no man who knows me. Refuge has failed me. No man cares for my soul.
5 Aywakni, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; awachoni niya, “In e kar pondona, kendo in e pokna e piny joma ngima.”
I cried to thee, O Jehovah. I said, Thou are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.
6 Yie iwinj ywakna, nimar an-gi chandruok maduongʼ; resa e lwet joma lawa nimar gitek moloya mabor.
Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I.
7 Gonya e twech ma antie, mondo apak nyingi. Eka joma kare biro chokore buta nikech ber misetimona.
Bring my soul out of prison that I may give thanks to thy name. The righteous shall encompass me around, for thou will deal bountifully with me.
