< Zaburi 141 >
1 Zaburi Mar Daudi. Aluongi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, yie ibi ira piyo. Yie iwinj dwonda ka aluongi.
“A psalm of David.” O Lord, I call thee, hasten unto me: give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
2 Mad lamona osiki e nyimi mana ka ubani miwangʼo, kendo bedena osik koriere kochomo malo mana ka misango mitimoni godhiambo.
May my prayer be valued as incense before thee, the lifting up of my hands, as the evening offering.
3 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ket jarit e dhoga; ketna jarit mondo okonya umo dhoga.
Set, O Lord, a watch unto my mouth: keep a guard at the door of my lips.
4 Kik iyie gimoro amora marach ywa chunya, ma dimi an bende atim timbe maricho, kaachiel gi joma timbe gi richo; rita mondo kik acham chiembgi mabeyonegi.
Permit not my heart to incline after any evil thing, to practise deeds in wickedness with men that are doers of wrong: and let me not eat of their dainties.
5 Onego ngʼat makare ema ogoya, nikech mano chalo tim ngʼwono motimona; onego en ema okwera, nikech mano chalo mo mool e wiya; ok anyal dagi mondo ngʼama kare otimna kamano. To kata kamano obiro kwedo timbe joma richo e lemona;
If the righteous strike me, it is a kindness; and if he reprove me, it is [as] oil poured on the head, my head shall not refuse it; for yet my prayer also [is offered] in their sufferings.
6 chiengʼ ma nowit ruodhigi piny koa ewi got mabor, eka joma timbegi richo nongʼe ni kare wechena ne gin adier.
Are their judges fallen down through means of a rock: then will they listen to my words; for they are pleasant.
7 Giniwach niya, “Mana kaka ngʼato puro kendo toyo lowo, e kaka chokewa osekere e dho bur liel.” (Sheol )
As when one cutteth in and splitteth open the earth: so are our bones scattered for the mouth of the grave. (Sheol )
8 Anto atego wangʼa kuomi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto; In e kar pondona, omiyo kik iwe atho.
For unto thee, O Eternal Lord, are my eyes directed; in thee do I trust: pour not out my life.
9 Kik iwe obadho ma gisechikona maka, ee, resa kuom otegu ma joma timbegi richo ochikona.
Guard me from the power of the snare which they have laid for me, and the traps of the wrong-doers.
10 Mad joma timbegi richogo moki e gokegi giwegi ka anto akadho maber mak gimoro otima.
Let the wicked fall into their own nets, altogether—while I pass safely by.
