< Zaburi 129 >

1 Wer ma ji wero kadhi e hekalu. “Jogi osesanda malit nyaka aa e tin-na,” Israel mondo owach niya;
A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. Often they distressed me from my youth, Pray, let Israel say:
2 “gisesanda malit nyaka aa e tin-na, to kata kamano pok gibedo gi loch kuoma.
Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me.
3 Jopur osepuro diengʼeya kendo gisegore opara ma roboche,
Plowers have plowed over my back, They have made their furrows long.
4 to kata kamano Jehova Nyasaye en ngʼama kare; osegola e badho mar joma timbegi richo.”
YHWH [is] righteous, He has cut apart cords of the wicked.
5 Ji duto mochayo Sayun lo mi dog chien gi wichkuot.
All hating Zion [are] confounded and turn backward.
6 Mad gichal gi lum moti ewi tado maner kata kapok odongo maber.
They are as grass of the roofs, That withers before it was drawn out,
7 Ok onyal nyago gimoro mapongʼo lwet jakeyo, kata ma jachoko nyalo tingʼo e bade.
That has not filled the hand of a reaper, And the bosom of a binder of sheaves.
8 Mad joma kalo bute kik wachnegi niya, “Jehova Nyasaye mondo ogwedhi, kata ni, wagwedhi e nying Jehova Nyasaye.”
And the passers by have not said, “The blessing of YHWH [is] on you, We blessed you in the Name of YHWH!”
