< Zaburi 124 >

1 Wer ma ji wero kadhi e hekalu. Mar Daudi. Ka dine bed ni Jehova Nyasaye ok jakorwa, jo-Israel mondo owach kamano,
A Song of degrees of David. If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2 ka dine bed ni Jehova Nyasaye ok jakorwa kane ji omonjowa,
If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3 e kinde mane mirima mabebni ka mach omakogi kodwa, to dine gimwonyowa ngili;
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4 ataro dine odinonwa, ee, kodh yamo dine oywerowa,
Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5 kendo pi maringo matek dine odhi kodwa.
Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6 Pak mondo odogne Jehova Nyasaye, ma ok oseyie mondo gikidhwa gi lekegi.
Blessed [be] the LORD, who hath not given us [as] a prey to their teeth.
7 Wasetony mana ka winyo mowuok e wino mar jachik winy; wino osechodi, to wan wasetony.
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8 Konyruokwa ni e nying Jehova Nyasaye, Jachwech polo gi piny.
Our help [is] in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
