< Zaburi 123 >

1 Wer ma ji wero kadhi e hekalu. Atingʼo wangʼa ka arango, in ma kom lochni ni e polo.
“A song of the degrees.” Unto thee do I lift up my eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 Mana kaka wenge wasumbini rango lwet ruodhgi, kendo kaka wenge jatich ma nyako mar ot rango lwet ruodhe madhako, e kaka wengewa rango Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa nyaka chop okechwa.
Behold, as the eyes of servants are directed unto the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress: thus are our eyes directed unto the Lord our God, until he be gracious unto us.
3 Yie ikechwa, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, yie ikechwa, nikech osechawa gi kinda.
Be gracious unto us, O Lord! be gracious unto us; for we are overburdened with contempt.
4 Josunga osejarowa moromo acheje bende osechayowa moromo.
Our soul is overburdened with the scorn of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud oppressors.
