< Zaburi 1 >
1 Nyasaye gwedho ngʼat ma ok lu pach joma richo, kata luwo yor joricho kata bedo e kom jojaro.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 To chik Jehova Nyasaye ema more, kendo osiko oparo kuom chikene odiechiengʼ gotieno.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 Ochalo gi yien mopidhi e bath aora, manyago olembe e kinde molemo chieke, kendo ma bedene ok ner. Gimoro amora motimo dhi maber.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also doth not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 Joma timbegi richo to ok chal kamano kata matin! Gin gichalo gi mihudhi, ma yamo tero.
The wicked are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Kuom mano joma timbegi richo ok nolo bura, adier, joricho ok nobedi e kanyakla mar joma kare,
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 nikech Jehova Nyasaye rango yor joma kare, to yor joma richo to biro kethore.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the wicked shall perish.
